Besides Duke Joseph, the other four were the Consul-General of Wa Country, the Consul-General of France, the Consul-General of the Great United States, and the Consul-General of the Polar Bear Country.
The Wa Country Consul-General was the easiest to recognize. He was a short, bald old man with a neatly trimmed mustache under his nose, wearing traditional black Wa Country attire, clogs on his feet, and a tachi tucked at his waist.
The Consul-General of France was a middle-aged man with a delicate little mustache.
The Consul-General of the Great United States was a burly man with blond hair and blue eyes. His blond hair was a disheveled mess, and his suit jacket was unbuttoned, revealing a wrinkled shirt and a chest thick with golden hair.
And the last was the Consul-General of the Polar Bear Country. His face was covered in a thick beard that obscured almost half his features, and he was as large and imposing as a bear.
These five were the strongest surviving Outer Celestial Demons from several hundred years ago. They used the identities of foreigners to secretly control those nations.
Duke Joseph stood at the very front with his hands clasped behind his back, a faint, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips.
Before long, the short old man from Wa Country beside him slowly drew the tachi from his waist.
"Let me be the one to kill this human." As soon as the words left his mouth, he moved!
The short old man gripped the tachi with both hands, his body blurring into a black afterimage as he charged toward Mr. Mei!
Blade qi surged along his path, erupting from the tachi’s blade like countless invisible cutting edges.
Wherever the blade qi passed, deep gashes were carved into the ground, rubble was sliced in two, and even the dust and smoke were cleaved apart!
Mr. Mei’s eyes narrowed. He instantly entered his combat state, moving like a character on a stage—his footwork nimble, his movements ethereal and unpredictable.
Then, red True Qi surged from Mr. Mei’s body. The red energy swirled around him like flames, enveloping him completely.
In an instant, the short old man and Mr. Mei began to clash fiercely from three meters apart, their Divine Will and True Qi locked in a brutal contest!
When the two incomparably powerful forces collided in mid-air, an invisible shockwave erupted!
Mr. Mei let out a muffled grunt and took half a step back. He stared intently at the short old man opposite him, a flash of shock in his eyes.
’So strong!’
’He now knew the strength of this Outer Celestial Demon. A Mid-stage Grandmaster of Divine Intent! And one with an incredibly solid foundation! Luckily, this isn’t its true form. It’s just a Celestial Demon possessing a human vessel, so it can’t use its full strength. Otherwise, I wouldn’t even be able to fight back. But even so, my opponent is incredibly tenacious.’
The next moment, the short old man swung his tachi again, unleashing several slashes of blade qi at the level of a Grandmaster of Divine Intent!
Wherever the blade qi passed, the air was torn apart, letting out a continuous, sharp shriek!
Seeing this, Mr. Mei also swung his hands, and the red True Qi from his palms leaped forward to meet the incoming blade qi!
The two forces collided again, and terrifying shockwaves erupted, one after another!
This time, Mr. Mei was sent flying backward, his feet stamping a trail of deep prints into the ground. He had retreated several dozen steps.
It wasn’t over yet. Seeing that Mr. Mei had no time to react, the short old man suddenly released one of his hands from the tachi.
A mass of black water swirled rapidly in his palm. Then, a torrent of black water as thick as an arm shot out!
The black water was like a giant black python, opening its cavernous maw to devour Mr. Mei in the distance!
Mr. Mei’s pupils shrank. He could no longer dodge; his only choice was to take the attack head-on.
In the blink of an eye, Mr. Mei thrust out both palms. Red True Qi poured frantically from them, forming a barrier in front of him.
When the black water slammed into the barrier of red True Qi, it produced an earth-shattering sound!
Mr. Mei was sent flying again, this time even farther.
He somersaulted several times in the air before landing heavily, his feet plowing two deep trenches in the ground before he managed to steady himself.
Only then did a trickle of blood begin to seep from the corner of Mr. Mei’s mouth. He silently lowered his head to look at his arm.
His sleeve had been completely corroded away by the black water, revealing flesh riddled with a dozen or so bloody holes.
Mr. Mei could now feel the black water eating away at his body. The world of his consciousness was also being invaded by the will contained within it.
It was an apocalyptic torrent of black water, with black waves surging and roaring, threatening to swallow everything.
Just at this critical moment, a light suddenly shone in Mr. Mei’s mind. Within the light, more than a dozen righteous and awe-inspiring figures appeared.
At this moment, all those figures came to life. With their robes fluttering, they stood before the torrent of black water, their eyes wide with fury, their bodies radiating a dazzling, righteous light.
"KILL!!!" Following a furious roar, the dozen or so figures attacked simultaneously, clashing head-on with the torrent of black water.
Just a second later, a tear was forcefully ripped open in the torrent of black water, and Mr. Mei’s consciousness successfully escaped through the opening!
But in that single second of delay, the short old man from Wa Country had already closed to within five meters, tachi in hand!
As he rapidly swung the tachi with both hands, five terrifying slashes of blade qi shot toward Mr. Mei!
Unsurprisingly, Mr. Mei was instantly sliced into several pieces. Seeing that he had cut Mr. Mei apart, the short old man stopped and looked down at the pile of shredded flesh on the ground, a savage grin slowly spreading across his face.
