The retainers and key personnel under his command were mostly scattered among the surrounding satellite strongholds, forming a layered defensive network with the main manor at its core.
“What do you think?”
Captain Zhang Shihao specifically asked the young man beside him, who was observing the scene.
“The plan hasn’t changed. Straight for the bullseye,” Su Chen said, uttering seven words.
They would abandon all the outer facilities, selectively ignore their threats, and cut straight into the enemy’s heart for a decapitation strike. Once the objective was complete, they would withdraw immediately without getting bogged down in a fight.
“I’ll take him to instantly blast through the Barrier. You all follow after us,” Su Chen said with complete composure.
There was already a plan in place for how to break the Barrier protecting the Magic Guide Hub Crystal Pillars.
As it happened, the plan was closely related to the special Rune, the ‘Soul Pocket’.
Inside this three-cubic-meter Storage Space, a specially made, oversized Rune Bomb, hastily crafted late at night, had already been placed. Its explosive yield was enough to send an entire building flying.
This bomb made even the battle-hardened Warrior, Xiaohu, feel a chill, as he wasn’t sure if an accidental detonation would blow his own head off.
“I’m ready. Let’s do it.” The Warrior, Xiaohu, took a deep breath and nodded.
‘Is this for real?’
‘An instantaneous teleportation and detonation from this far away?’
The others glanced into the distance again, realizing just how unimaginable the range was.
A moment later, everyone began their final preparations. An essential step was drinking various Potions for buffs. Meanwhile, the ghost agents had already dispersed, taking up hidden positions at various high-ground locations, their high-powered scopes’ crosshairs locked firmly on the manor’s watchtowers.
All they had to do was wait for the Barrier to fall.
In fact, they weren’t certain if their distant position would be discovered by the outer patrols of Scouts.
They had to race against time.
“It’s starting.”
The moment he spoke, Su Chen’s figure abruptly blurred, the space around him warping like ripples in water.
In an instant, countless interwoven particles of light and shadow burst from his body. As Su Chen reached out and grabbed Xiaohu’s shoulder, he violently leaped more than two kilometers forward, landing in a single step at the base of the Lorentz Manor’s outer wall.
Almost simultaneously, BZZZT!
The manor’s level-five reconnaissance tower trembled. A wave of invisible energy washed over them, and their Lv8 Invisibility Skill and Light Element camouflage disintegrated in an instant.
The alarms blared. The time to kill had arrived.
Without a moment’s hesitation, Xiaohu’s usually boyish face turned as cold as iron. He hurled the oversized Rune Bomb—powerful enough to topple a building—viciously at the Obsidian Wall.
Before the explosion or the beams from the Light Prism Towers could strike, Su Chen pulled him back in a rapid retreat.
BOOM!
A pillar of crimson-gold fire shot into the sky, piercing the clouds. The Obsidian Wall crumbled like a brittle wafer, and the strange Ghost Vines coiling around it were carbonized into ash. Even the section of the Barrier that permeated the wall collapsed.
A breach large enough for a person to charge through was completely exposed.
“There’s an opening.”
A cold glint flashed in Su Chen’s eyes. Without waiting for the surging flames of the explosion to die down, he immediately used Aurora Flash three times in a row, stepping directly into the edge of the blast’s still-collapsing core.
The moment he landed, the tongues of flame within several meters of him seemed to meet their king. They froze abruptly before automatically parting to the sides.
The inferno bowed, its light dimming.
The Fire recognized its master.
HUMMM!
A silvery-white stream of light erupted from Su Chen’s body, instantly coalescing into a suit of High Magic Armor. At the same time, an invisible, all-encompassing Telekinesis Perception swept forward like a tidal wave.
With his Telekinesis at Lv10, his probe no longer shot forward like a sharp arrow but instead formed an exaggerated river of consciousness that covered more than half of the luxurious manor. Every heartbeat’s rhythm and every wisp of elemental flow was rendered in perfect detail within his Sea of Consciousness.
In the space of a single thought.
He executed a Shadow Assault, transforming into a streak of dark light and bursting into a heavily defended corner tower.
One person, completely unprepared, was shattered and killed on the spot by the impact.
Before the other seven people in the corner tower could react, an irresistible, sovereign pressure bore down on them.
HUMMM!
In addition to the natural suppression that the Authority of the Master of All Things held over Low-tier Beings, a Strong Will impact followed, causing everyone’s eyes to bulge as blood streamed from their ears and noses.
Several of them with weaker wills had their Seas of Consciousness shattered on the spot and collapsed to the ground.
One of the security guards let out a roar, forcing a Demon Transformation amidst the excruciating pain. Black bone spurs burst from his body as a pair of sharp claws tore through the air, about to pounce and kill.
But Su Chen didn’t even blink.
He simply focused his thoughts.
An exquisitely subtle wave of Telekinesis invisibly penetrated the man’s skull. Combined with a Flame Burst activation, it instantly caused his head to explode like a watermelon.
Red and white matter splattered the mural behind him. His lower body stood frozen for three seconds before crashing to the floor.
The hall fell deathly silent.
Su Chen then stepped forward and, with a touch, collected the two Magic Guide Hub Crystal Pillars from the corner of the hall into his Soul Pocket.
Unable to be activated as a set, their removal was destined to tear a huge gap in the defenses of this sprawling manor.
Of course, the enemy might have had a contingency plan; the core area of the manor, the master’s private quarters, was protected by another layer of a Barrier.
This was also why Su Chen’s earlier Strong Will wave couldn’t sweep through it.
CLANG!!
The alarms rang out from within.
The security forces residing inside rushed toward the manor’s northwest sector.
The guards in the outer posts, jolted by the sudden turn of events, finally came to their senses. They began donning various types of Rune Armor and rushing in from the perimeter.
Meanwhile, Xiaohu, proving that appearances can be deceiving, shot through the sea of fire like a flaming meteor and slammed into a crowd of people. The explosive shockwave from the impact sent figures flying.
BANG!
BANG!
More sniper shots rang out, and one by one, the defensive towers on the wall were blown apart.
But in the center of this chaos, Su Chen’s figure moved like a phantom, weaving between firelight and shadow.
He ignored all attempts to surround him, using Shadow Assault to surge forward.
One step shattered the bluestone tiles. The next flash carried him across a thirty-meter-long corridor. A breath later, he shot past the fountain plaza and arrived directly before the manor’s main building.
“It’s you!”
A furious roar erupted from the Void.
Before the door, a figure clad in battle armor with molten rock patterns stepped out. Beneath a fearsome faceplate, his pupils burned with Hellish Purple Flame.
The Five-Star Hell Arbitrator had come to kill.
As a Super Tier class, the evolution of a Four-Star Demon Warlock, he waved his right hand. The fires of Hell coalesced into a Blade of Judgment over ten meters long, which he swung at Su Chen’s head with the force to incinerate a soul.
At the same time, the garden in front of him suddenly collapsed as a black abyssal gravity well materialized out of thin air. The space within its thirty-meter diameter instantly froze.
Light was devoured and the air turned heavy as lead, making it impossible for anything inside to move.
A wave of Dark Gravity then struck from the side, attempting to distort and shatter the figure within.
But Su Chen didn’t even pause.
The moment the gravity well’s restraint took effect, Telekinesis erupted from his entire body. He transformed into a streak of shadow light, broke free from the gravitational shackles, and with a flash, leaped out of the trap’s range.
SHIING!
The Holy Sword was unsheathed!
His Soul Weapon Contract allowed him to manifest the Holy Sword with incredible speed. With a forward slash...
CLANG!
The incoming Blade of Judgment faltered for a brief moment before shattering completely.
“You!”
The Hell Arbitrator across from him, Stally Lorenz, stared with wide eyes.
“Stally...”
Amid the anxious cries of the people beside him, the figure in the silvery-white armor swung his right hand horizontally. A peerlessly sharp Divine Sword Radiance instantly swept through, cutting Stally in two at the waist.
“Urk!”
With a pained cry, his body disintegrated within the blade’s light, transforming into a shower of Hellfire that scattered in all directions.
He wasn’t dead.
Without a second glance, Su Chen strode straight into the main hall of the manor.
Inside the hall, more than ten tamed Hell Demon Dogs were already lying in wait, invisible.
Just as they were about to pounce, Su Chen—from whom nothing could hide thanks to his Telekinesis Perception—flicked his wrist. The blade swept out, and a crescent-shaped sword light cut across the entire hall. Many of the Hell Demon Dogs that hadn’t managed to slip into the gaps of reality were sliced in two at the waist.
The remaining power of the sword light didn’t stop there, crashing into the core Barrier at the far end of the hall.
As dust and smoke filled the air, Su Chen locked his sights on the outer door of a study deep within the main building. The door was inlaid with metal patterns, and a faint golden membrane of Rune light flowed across its surface. This was the most heavily protected core area of the entire manor.
The next second, his figure moved like lightning. The Holy Sword drew a chilling arc of cold light.
A thrust!
The tip of the sword precisely struck the center of the door. There was no loud bang or explosion, only a faint SQUISH, like a knife piercing a cake.
The Barrier had been pierced by the blade’s edge. Its surface flickered wildly, attempting to repair itself, but the four-layered wave and the resonating Telekinesis surging from the sword forced it open.
CRACK!
A long, narrow crack bloomed from the center of the door, spreading rapidly like a spiderweb.
“Old man, are your bones still up for a fight?” Su Chen’s cold words were like the Grim Reaper’s demand for a soul.
