Yan Ruoruo whispered, "This weapon would be good for your spear throwing."
She had, of course, noticed that Su Chen rarely used Flying Knives. Instead, for his ranged attacks, he used invisible spears constructed from Telekinesis.
The reason was simple: his Strong Thought Burst, which could be detonated from a distance, already completely outranged his Flying Knives.

Su Chen’s interest was piqued. This sounded interesting.
A gentle stream of Telekinesis, like an invisible hand, reached into the pile of corpses and slowly lifted the rust-spotted Bronze Spear.
Using Strong Thought Penetration, he could feel that the metal’s internal density was extremely high. It could also be perfectly infused with elemental fluctuations without any resistance.
If this spear, forged from an unknown alloy, could withstand hundreds of Enchantment impacts without shattering while still maintaining its extreme Sharpness and Penetration Power, then it was undoubtedly a fine weapon.

Not long after, all the cave dweller corpses had been moved to the Jade Bamboo Hall. There were also five large bags of Soul Sand Ore Crystals. They didn’t plan on sacrificing this metallic ore, partly because it would be difficult to carry back. For the same reason, they hadn’t excavated many other marked ore deposits in the caves.

A wave from a Weightless Gravity Field washed over them. Batch after batch of cave dweller corpses instantly became weightless, floating up from the floor of the Jade Bamboo Hall. They passed through the opening above and landed on the slope at the bottom of the vertical corridor.
Su Chen took a quick breath and immediately repeated the maneuver. Under a wave of weightlessness, guided by his Telekinesis, a batch of bodies ascended straight up the vertical corridor.
He wasn’t the only one working. Behind him, Cao Yutang, who was skilled in the Light Feather Skill, was also making the corpses as light as a feather in a similar fashion.
Even Yan Ziqian, to save himself some effort, simply crushed the tiny air sacs of a Wind Fighter Grass. A field of lift suddenly erupted in the vertical corridor. The air surged and spiraled, forming a brief but stable updraft.
Of course, the airflow’s reach was limited. Su Chen had to take over, lifting the corpses the rest of the way out of the pit.
After taking turns and putting in considerable effort, it took them nearly half an hour to move all the loot out of the hunting hall.
But just then, Su Chen’s eyes narrowed. He could clearly hear a noise coming from outside the narrow passageway.
"It couldn’t be people, could it?"
The moment Pang Peng spoke, he instinctively lowered his voice.
This attempt at stealth was pointless. The surrounding lights had already given them away.
"Fuck it, let’s take them on!"
Cao Yutang’s expression turned vicious. Their worst fear was coming true. If someone really was here to ambush them, all their hard work would go down the drain.
Besides, with a top-tier fighter like Su Chen on their side, any opponent would just be asking for a beating.

In that instant, Su Chen had already vanished with a Shadow Leap. He reappeared in the narrow hunter’s path and immediately saw that the intruder was indeed human—or more accurately, a zombified human.
Its head was cracked open. A glaring fissure was visible on the left side of its skull. The brain tissue within had been completely scooped out, and its internal Runes had likely been stolen as well.

"The situation is worse than I thought," Su Chen warned. "The fungus is here. This one was negligible in strength, obviously a scout. Everyone, speed it up."
This was a far worse reality than being discovered by other people.
If the altar structure outside was taken over and destroyed, all their efforts would be for nothing.
Yan Ruoruo hurried over, her right hand already gripping the Rune-inscribed bracelet on her wrist. A purifying glow blossomed from it, sweeping through the air and silently annihilating any active spores that might be drifting about.
She whispered, "The mycelial network’s information transfer might not work in here. If it had instantaneous information sharing, last night wouldn’t have been so quiet."
The current theory was that these fungal spores could transmit some kind of chemical signal, much like how ants release pheromones to communicate that they are trapped or injured.
The hive mind behind it would then formulate a response after receiving the information.
However, the cave-like Earth Realm within this fissure was unique and might prevent it from reacting.
But once the group passed through the invisible barrier and returned to the surface, all bets were off.
Their pace quickened out of urgency. Su Chen took the lead, using his Telekinesis to pull two elite corpses and ten ordinary cave dweller bodies out with him.
His Strong Will swept over the area. The fissure behind him remained empty and deathly still, without a trace of life. Ahead, in the forest, he noticed wisps of smoke and ash drifting into the air. He couldn’t tell what kind of conflict was happening in the distance.
To avoid any trouble from delays, after a brief explanation to the others, he immediately initiated the interaction with the altar.
「The next moment.」
The entire altar platform suddenly blazed to life with a complex and dense Rune Array. It resembled the orbits of stars, and a brilliant light shot into the sky, enveloping Su Chen and all the sacrificial materials piled around him.
