On the other side.
Eleven Nothingness Dominators gathered together in one place.
Su Yuan looked at everyone and said, "I have a plan to break the Second Frontline!"
Miao Laogang nodded, signaling the Void Venerable Su Yuan to continue.
"I discovered that the major cities along the Second Frontline have, more or less, modified their arrays, except for Skywind City, which hasn't changed at all!"
Su Yuan sneered, "I don't know whether Ying Wenzheng is just overconfident or simply didn't have time to alter the city's array, but whatever defenses are inside, I can see them at a glance. There's even a hidden flaw I can still detect. If we gather one hundred trillion Scavengers together, I'm confident we can break Skywind City in one strike!"
"Oh?" Miao Laogang frowned, "So breaking the city is easy for you, but Ying Wenzheng could easily escape. Do you have a solution for that hidden risk?"
"Of course I do!" Su Yuan said confidently, "I know we have a strategic-level boundary Supreme Treasure. Once activated, it can seal Seventy-Two Rank existences inside. At that point, if we coordinate and add an enormous Scavenger army, who could stop us from dealing with Ying Wenzheng?"
Miao Laogang was surprised, "You want to use the Boundless!"
"Exactly!" Su Yuan said very earnestly, "I know the Boundless can't be used lightly, but the current situation is that the Second Frontline has tempered the overall balance. That Seven Stars master even pulled out ten trillion Dominator Artifacts in one go. Who can guarantee he won't produce the same number again? If that happens, we'll be on the defensive instead of the offensive. We must seize this golden opportunity to crush the main forces of the Second Frontline now, or later there will be no chance to deal with Ying Wenzheng!"
He glanced at Miao Laogang, "You want Ying Wenzheng's head and a promotion, don't you? The chance is right in front of you!"
Miao Laogang snorted coldly, then looked to the others.
Someone nodded, "My many scouts have reported that the Seven Stars seems to possess a method for repairing damaged Dominator Artifacts. He even boasted of victory during the council meeting. Soon he might repair another batch of Dominator Artifacts! We must not only breach the city, we must eliminate that Seven Stars!"
Su Yuan glanced at him.
The man returned a confirming look.
"Chairman Jiu Han has great insight!" Su Yuan said with a smile.
Void Speaker Jiu Han replied, "Heh heh, Void Venerable, I'm merely offering humble thoughts."
"Then I propose you join this major operation! The First, Second, and Third Speakers, together with you, will coordinate with the one hundred trillion army to attack Skywind City. What do you think?" Su Yuan said calmly.
"Good idea!" Jiu Han's eyes brightened; he saw an opportunity to gain merit.
Miao Laogang finally nodded, "Opportunities are rare, worth a try!"
He looked at Su Yuan and said, "The Boundless can be temporarily granted to you. Meanwhile, I'll mobilize three hundred trillion for you to command. If you achieve great merit this time, your chance to advance to the Seventy-Third Rank will be given priority!"
Su Yuan pretended to show excitement, "No problem! I'll do it well!"
"Excellent! Everyone cooperate and execute this operation perfectly, so we can completely eliminate the Second Frontline's resistance!"
Miao Laogang instructed, "The rest of you just need to stall the other Chaos Speakers. Do not proactively assault the city, or you'll draw Ying Wenzheng's attention early, understood?"
"Understood!"
The Nothingness Speakers agreed.
Su Yuan thus obtained the right to use the Boundless.
This was an immensely massive Dominator Artifact, as large as an entire city. To operate the Boundless required not only a Seventy-Two Rank being to direct it, but also tens of thousands of high-level Nothingness Dominators cooperating, and hundreds of trillions of Scavengers as the foundation!
Therefore it was called strategic-level; it was not a weapon a single entity could wield alone.
After rehearsing for a while, Su Yuan pretended to have completely mastered the Boundless's operation. Then, using the Boundless as the core, he commanded the three hundred trillion Scavenger army and advanced toward the Second Frontline, heading for Skywind City.
During the march, Speaker Jiu Han followed to conceal the army's traces, preventing Ying Wenzheng from discovering them in advance.
This was Jiu Han's specialty—he excelled at covering traces; even moving three hundred trillion Scavengers was nothing to him!
Su Yuan chatted with a smile, "Speaker Jiu Han, your methods are brilliant!"
"You're flattering me, just some small tricks," Jiu Han said with a faint smile.
"With Speaker Jiu Han so skilled at concealment, it's no wonder the Chaos Alliance still harbors spies. My own inside contacts are nearly extinct!" Su Yuan said with a chuckle.
Jiu Han laughed, "Those are only small measures. You used to be a Chaos Speaker; you've managed things on the frontlines for years. You've devised far more methods than I ever have!"
Su Yuan sighed, "That's all past history!"
"Speaking of which, I admire you for daring to throw yourself into our Nothingness camp."
"One who reads the times is a hero. Who would stubbornly refuse change?" Su Yuan shook his head and laughed.
He suddenly asked, "Aren't you afraid I'm a double agent?"
Jiu Han froze at the question. Even a dignified Nothingness Speaker could be taken aback; Su Yuan's words stunned him into silence.
He shook his head, "I don't believe it. You are already of Nothingness, you cannot return to Chaos. Besides, you have slaughtered countless cultivators and secretly wiped out too many. These deeds have been exposed—your reputation is ruined!"
Su Yuan heard that and said, "So it's true that I can't go back!"
Jiu Han gave a wry smile, "Void Venerable, you still have lingering attachments, don't you? Worried you won't be able to strike when the moment comes to kill Ying Wenzheng? Don't fret. You won't even have a chance to act; Ying Wenzheng will be dealt with by the First Speaker!"
Su Yuan understood, "I hope so!"
He sighed, feeling a loneliness like falling snow.
Jiu Han shook his head and found it amusing. When Su Yuan accused himself of being a double agent, he had truly been startled. But if Su Yuan were really a double agent, how could he admit it outright?
He had vaguely suspected it before, but now it seemed laughable.
Moreover, the Void Venerable had cooperated perfectly all these years with no pretense. When he became a Nothingness Speaker, everyone used every means to confirm Su Yuan's mental state and will; there was no sign of a double agent!
Su Yuan smiled slightly. This reverse tactic dispelled their doubts. Even if they remained cautious, it would be useless. Once the Boundless activated, whatever happened inside, who outside would know?
Outside Skywind City.
The battle continued. Sections of the walls were locked in furious combat.
Ying Wenzheng and the three Nothingness Speakers still confronted each other; everything looked normal on the surface.
Yet Ying Wenzheng felt a faint unease, his gaze scanning the area.
