Gaoyu Tribe, high council meeting.
Eleven elders gathered together.
Their gazes all intensely focused on the last person, Gu You.
Gu You felt a bit nervous.
Eleven Wuji Realm powerhouses were exerting considerable pressure on him.
Demon Subduing Venerable cleared his throat and said, "I have verified it. Gu You can indeed resurrect the deceased. It matches the description of the Dao technique exactly!"
Jing Chenzi could not help asking, "Can he resurrect someone whose cultivation is higher than his?"
Demon Subduing Venerable shook his head, "We tried. Even if the target is just one minor realm higher, he couldn't resurrect them. But once his realm rises to a higher level, he can resurrect those he couldn't before!"
A trace of surprise appeared on everyone's faces.
"Do we know if someone at the Wuji Realm can be resurrected?" Daoxian asked with a steady expression, "Third Elder..."
Everyone was momentarily stunned.
Jing Hunzi frowned, "Third Elder never met Gu You before, how could he be resurrected?"
Daoxian spoke, "Although I have forgotten most details about the Third Elder, I still remember that the Third Elder and I are from the same God Realm Sea, and this Gu You is also from my hometown!"
Gu You looked at Elder Daoxian in shock.
Elder Daoxian gave him a slight smile, "Don't be surprised. I just investigated your origins. You come from the Immortal-Demon Realm Sea, right?"
"You are?" Gu You could not help but ask.
"Heh, I created that Immortal Realm!" Daoxian said calmly.
"Whoa!" Gu You involuntarily drew a deep breath.
Daoxian continued, "The Third Elder should be a super powerhouse within the God Realm Sea. You should know him, you just don't know which one he is. I'll find a way to help you recall some details, then we can pinpoint the Third Elder himself. You can try resurrecting him."
Gu You nodded on the surface, "Alright!"
But inwardly he had doubts. The Patriarch had long since returned, so what would he do then? He would ask the Patriarch later.
Fortunately, it would still be a long time before he attempted to resurrect his Patriarch.
Seeing this, Jing Hunzi said, "I propose appointing Gu You as a Reserve Elder!"
"Seconded!"
One elder after another voiced their agreement.
With that, Gu You's status skyrocketed.
Daoxian then said, "I propose we fully support Elder Gu, helping him rapidly advance his cultivation."
"Seconded!"
The elders' meeting quickly confirmed Gu You's position and benefits.
Gu You was overjoyed;he had suddenly been catapulted upward.
At that moment, Demon Subduing Venerable asked, "Gu You's Resurrection Dao Technique requires that he meet all tribespeople. Should the matter of his resurrection ability be made public?"
Everyone fell into thought.
Hearing this, Gu You remembered Su Yuan's instructions and immediately said, "I think we should make it public. Once I revive a few deceased people, the resurrection won't stay hidden. Better to announce it directly;it will unify the tribe's people and attract more talent to join."
Jing Hunzi looked at Gu You with approval.
"Good, I agree with Elder Gu's idea! Don't worry about safety. I will hand over two Wuji Realm puppets to guard Gu You, so making this public will be beneficial and harmless to the tribe!"
Jing Hunzi looked toward the others, "The Eternal Nation covets the Ancient Immortal Nation. As members of the Ancient Immortal Nation, we will certainly be targeted. We need to increase our strength quickly. Hiding our abilities is no longer a suitable choice!"
Gu You felt a surge of joy. Finally, he could complete the task arranged by Patriarch Su. If the leadership refused to publicize it, he would find a way to leak it later. Either way, this news would be exposed.
Daoxian nodded, "Indeed. Without this reason, promoting Gu You to Reserve Elder wouldn't convince the masses, and providing resources would lack justification. Given this, I agree to the proposal!"
The Great Elder and Second Elder both agreed, and the rest naturally followed.
Soon, the high council meeting concluded.
Afterwards, one announcement after another was posted on the public notice boards throughout Gaoyu City.
A tavern in the city happened to be opposite one such notice board.
Many cultivators were gathered inside the tavern, including people from the Gaoyu Tribe and others who had come to Gaoyu City for business or travel.
They watched in curiosity as official staff from the Gaoyu Tribe approached, protecting a golden scroll-like notice and posting it. It was very rare.
Jin Liuyan happened to be entertaining friends. Seeing the notice's color, he was surprised and solemn, "A golden notice? That's extremely rare!"
A friend beside him asked, "What's so special about your tribe's golden notices?"
Jin Liuyan replied seriously, "Only matters concerning the tribe's survival or major transformations are qualified to use a golden notice. That includes elder succession, all-out city warfare, and the like!"
Jin Liuyan looked puzzled, "I don't know either. Normally, before such major events get posted, the news would already have spread throughout the tribe. I haven't heard of anything happening recently!"
"Let's see what's written!"
Everyone's curiosity rose, especially those not from the Gaoyu Tribe. They were eager to know what major event had occurred.
The notice was posted quickly.
Everyone looked over.
[Supreme Elder Decree]: "Effective immediately, promote [Gu You] to Reserve Elder of the Gaoyu Tribe. Upon breaking through the Wuji Realm, he will automatically become a full elder. He will now enjoy unlimited resource support for Wuji Realm advancement until he breaks through..."
Reading the first half, Jin Liuyan's mind filled with confusion. Who is Gu You? Aren't Reserve Elders supposed to be Wuji Realm? He hasn't reached the Wuji Realm yet, and becoming a full elder normally requires contributions to the tribe. But this notice said he could be promoted directly?
This was absurd!
Jin Liuyan felt both puzzled and angry, until he read the second half.
"...Elder Gu has successfully comprehended the Resurrection Dao Technique of the Third Elder and can, under conditions, revive cultivators whose realms are lower than Elder Gu's. From today, the tribe will restart the resurrection qualification contribution exchange mechanism. All tribe citizens, please go to the tribe square within the stipulated time to obtain preconditions for resurrection! In three days, Elder Gu will publicly resurrect three hundred tribe members who joined the tribe and subsequently perished."
Jin Liuyan's heart jolted when he saw the latter part!
"Resurrection Dao Technique? Is it that Heart Thought Revival? Damn, someone actually comprehended that Dao technique?"
Jin Liuyan drew a cold breath.
Someone nearby could not help asking, "Brother Yan, what does this mean exactly?"
Jin Liuyan looked at the notice. Since it was posted openly with nothing concealed, he explained directly, "Our tribe has an extremely special inheritance that allows someone to learn a resurrection Dao technique. The special thing about this technique is that it can revive those who have completely perished. I had always thought it was a legend. I never expected someone actually perfected it!"
