It was clear the three were orthodox successors of the nine major sects, secretly competing, and contesting to slay demons.
The strength of these three was evidently far superior to those injured and trapped on the mountain, superior to the extent that while fending off hundreds of demon attacks, they could still sense Iron Egg hiding outside. Their Divine Sense scanned the area, observing secretly with malintent. Thus, they all sent out their magic treasures and talismans, casting an additional protective spell to guard against a Primordial Spirit curse attack!
Seeing this, Iron Egg understood. He knew this calamity was a dead-end for the group trapped on the mountain, but for these three, it was more than manageable. They likely each held a lifesaving trump card bestowed by their sects. By holding their ground now, they might be waiting for the blizzard to mask their movements and find an opportunity to break through the demon encirclement.
Iron Egg had originally come down the mountain just to find some food. Now that he was full, seeing they were still resisting, he knew these three still had their fate intact, which meant the others had hope too. So, he picked up a leg bone from the ground and infused it with Azure Darkness Sword Qi! Sliding across the ice beneath his feet, he suddenly charged out from behind!
Azure Darkness Lotus Blossom!!
Yes! Iron Egg has started creating his own sword moves again!
Despite having learned the divine sects ultimate sword technique Blood Wind Chaotic Dance, as a disciple of the Sword Sect, how could Iron Egg keep using someone elses skills?
Thus, Iron Egg applied what he learned, taking inspiration from the divine sects technique of Blood Control Sword, integrating his Azure Darkness Sword Qi with the Chaotic Sword Attack!
Azure Darkness Lotus Blossom!
Transform Qi into ice! Ice into a sword! Sword into a lotus! The lotus blooms!
Clang!
Instantly, the azure lotus formed by the Sword Wind and Sword Breeze blossomed among the demon horde! In an instant, flesh scattered everywhere! Demons were sliced into pieces, their bodies bursting open as the sword blade shone and the Sword Breeze swept through! All cleaved apart and blood flowed!
In a moment! Blood Wind danced wildly! Sword Wind blew fiercely! It was as if the first azure lotus of the lotus pond had bloomed! A pool of bloody lotus flowers had blossomed!
Iron Eggs sword energy slashed wildly! Cutting down a vast swath! Taking the opportunity, he followed the Sword Breeze to launch a surprise attack! Carving a bloody path straight through to the mountain pass!
The demon horde was severely hit! For a moment, they were routed single-handedly by his assault!
In Iron Eggs view, this move was rather average in both speed and power, far less impressive compared to Heavenly Ruined Thunder Flash. But the demon horde, focused on the tough battle around the mountain, never anticipated Iron Eggs rear assault! Moreover, he positioned himself directly amidst the demon ranks, unleashing a massive strike!
Caught off guard, the sword lotus burst! Limbs were severed, flesh shattered! Those remnants, barely surviving, could not withstand the assault from both sides and had to abandon hundreds of bodies, retreating in panic!
Over there, is that Senior Brother from Songshan?
Out of nowhere, seeing this hairy monkey rampaging through the demon horde, suddenly unleashing slaughter upon the demons, and then emerging from the blood and gore to speak, even the Mystic Sect was startled, nearly sending their Flying Sword Magic Treasures over as an attack.
The one tagged by the hairy monkey, From Songshan, was even more shocked, but perhaps he was used to witnessing oddities, so retaining an open mind, he hesitantly asked,
You, you are also from Songshan?
Iron Egg replied,
I have had a brief encounter with your mountains Senior Brother Zhang, a bond forged through life and death.
The Mystic Sect all looked towards Songshan, but Songshan looked puzzled,
Senior Brother Zhang? Which Senior Brother Zhang?
Iron Egg frowned, could those three be lying? So he said,
Isnt Zhang Tang your mountains senior master? What about Ye Rong and Wang Cheng? One is a bit fat, the other a bit short...
Oh, oh, oh!!
Finally, Songshans disciples, with their distinctive features, immediately understood, pulling back their swords, pinching their seals, and bowing,
So youre a friend of the grand master uncle, disciple Han Wei, greets senior.
Greetings, senior.
Ah, so he was of a different generation. Realizing it was a senior from the Mystic Sect coming to aid, who often secluded in the north, with an odd appearance being understandable, the Mystic Sect disciples visibly relaxed a bit.
Establishing a connection, Iron Egg didnt have the time for pleasantries, pointing to the demon corpses on the ground,
Snow is coming, skin them and wear their hides, and demons wont smell you.
By the way, which direction is Yan Zhi Mountain?
One hundred miles northeast is Heavenly Pond Mountain, and another eight hundred miles northeast is Yan Zhi Mountain.
The crowd exchanged glances, and as Han Wei pointed the way, he advised,
Uncle, Im afraid Yan Zhi Mountain is gone.
Are you sure?
Han Wei guessed that this senior had likely been secluded in the Northern Land, unaware of current events, so he willingly explained,
Nowadays, with the Demonic Tide invading the Returning Ruins and the rise of the Heaven and Earth Demon Tribulation, the calamity has suddenly escalated beyond what Golden Core Outer Disciples can handle.
Therefore, by decree of the sect leaders, all disciple sects were ordered to quickly evacuate Kan State, taking refuge in the scattered surrounding regions to prevent demons from spreading into the Central Plains.
We were on our way, received the sects message, and gathered at Heavenly Pond Mountain to retreat together to Qianzhou.
Even though all Mystic Sect disciples arrived, only from the direction of Yan Zhi Mountain was the Sword Sect silent, and no one came.
Later, tens of thousands of demons surrounded us, attacking the mountain day by day, increasing in numbers; the seniors feared delay would lead to their trap, so they ordered our breakout first.
From all directions, it was all a Demon Tide...
Alright, then you all should flee, catch the blizzards arrival and reach Qianzhou.
Iron Egg was about to leave when he suddenly stopped, turned, and asked,
This prompted a reply from a Heng Mountain disciple,
Yes, they were the last batch, withdrawing from Jing Mountain.
The scholarly-dressed individual also nodded,
I heard from Junior Sister, they were heading to Priest Garden, but were blocked by demons on the way and couldnt break through.
Luckily, they received the message, knew everyone was gathering at Heavenly Pond, detoured over, and with the help of roaming Mystic Sect seniors, managed to escape.
Han Wei also added,
Senior, dont worry, the junior sisters have already retreated to Qianzhou with the injured as the first batch.
We were the ones breaking away, strayed into a storm on the way, and got separated, chased here by demons.
So if they received the sects message and made it to Heavenly Pond Mountain, the Outer Door disciples all survived...
Iron Egg had no interest in idle chatter with them and swiftly performed Ice Escape eastward. Traveling a hundred miles, he quickly reached Heavenly Pond Mountain.
Arriving, he understood why they chose this location for the Outer Door disciples rendezvous.
Heavenly Pond Mountain had a heavenly pond, likely gathering the Heavenly Spring, infused with Spiritual Spring, rich in the essence of sun and moon, with abundant spiritual breath, akin to a Cave Heaven Blessed Land, an excellent Daoist field. Not only could average Golden Core Realm disciples conduct their Breathing Control and Qi Manipulation here, but Nascent Soul cultivators could also utilize Heavenly Ponds Heavenly Spring for refining their Dao Bodies. Additionally, being close to Qianzhou, it served as an ideal forward base for the Mystic Sect.
Thus, the Mystic Sect had already established a Jungle Temple here. Despite the major formation being well-constructed, it had never fallen, but indeed the mountain was flooded with demons, making it unsafe for ordinary Golden Core disciples.
Although Heavenly Pond Mountain was surrounded by the Demon Tide, with hundreds of thousands of demons blocking the foot of the mountain, the presence of the Heavenly Pond Treasure Land meant several Nascent Soul True Men stationed there, keeping watch over those transformed Great Monsters and Great Demon Gods, ready to react at any disturbance, launching tens of Nascent Soul Sword Lights from Heavenly Pond Mountain in pursuit, literally inviting destruction.
Thus, even the southern demons couldnt advance beyond Heavenly Pond, but their mission wasnt to outright assault Heavenly Pond Mountain but to block this last passage to Qianzhou, splitting the small demon beasts into concentrated squads, hundreds at a time, seeking opportunities to infiltrate Qianzhou through mountains and valleys. In contrast, Great Demon Gods gathered outside Heavenly Pond, creating pressure on the Mystic Sect, restraining the Nascent Soul True Men from attending to other areas.
Iron Egg looked at the Heavenly Pond Spiritual Qi, feeling a subtle sensation, knowing that if he closed himself here, in not three months, no, within a month, he could fully heal from the Heavenly Tribulation wounds, completely absorb the Pot Venerables Essence Blood, hone his lifes learning to extreme perfection, naturally passing the tribulation and forming the sword infant.
But a month might still be a bit slow.
Moreover, choosing to stop here might cause him to miss many things, to miss many people,
And recalling hesitation and stumbling at this place might breed much regret in the future.
Therefore, under the dim night sky, Iron Egg merely glanced at the brilliant Immortal Mountain from afar and, without the slightest hesitation, continued to turn eastwards, charging into the fierce snowfall.
