"Since you know I’m going to act against the Kunlun Mountains, you’re surely aware of who I am. Get out of my way, or I can assure you, you won’t live to see tomorrow’s sun."
Lin Chen’s threat had no effect on the old man, who just stood there, slowly raising his head after a while to look at him.
"Do you think such a threat works on me?" The old man said with a shy smile, still displaying a relaxed demeanor.

Lin Chen once believed that the innocent must not be killed indiscriminately in this world, but now he felt it was unnecessary to care about such matters.
"I know your current skills are indeed formidable, but if you kill me, there won’t be anyone in this world who can save that girl." The old man said calmly.
"She has merely fallen victim to a puppet curse, I can save her." Lin Chen stubbornly insisted, though his heart skipped a beat.
Lin Chen could sense that what the old man said was likely true.
He truly lacked the ability to save the girl. If he had such skills, Xiao Ying would have already returned to normal.
"If you truly have the certainty to save her, why haven’t you acted now?" The old man’s eyes bore an ironic gleam.
"Stop threatening me." Lin Chen roared, reaching out with his palm and slapped the old man, sending him flying into a wall.
The old man slowly rolled down from the wall and fell to the ground. He clutched his chest, his eyes still bearing a serene calm.
"What difference does it make if you kill me? Even if you do, it won’t change the fact. If you agree to my request, put down your slaughter, and attain instant enlightenment, I’ll choose to save the girl."
Lin Chen didn’t bother with this man, he reached out and tightly grasped his throat.
The man’s body was lifted into the air by Lin Chen’s arm, struggling continuously.
"Negotiating with me? Do you truly think you’re qualified?"

"I thought you were dead?"
"I didn’t expect such a young gentleman to be deceived by rumors, just as I often heard others say you were killed, yet here you are alive." The old man’s retort left Lin Chen unable to reply.
"If you’re willing to do me a favor and save her, then I’ll spare you. Otherwise, you’ll meet a grim fate." Lin Chen used threats against the Sage Doctor.
"Do you think such threats would intimidate me? If so, you underestimate me." The Sage Doctor expressed a quite indifferent attitude, having already transcended life and death.
"It seems you’re not afraid at all." Lin Chen said with a cold smile.
"If you really wish to act against me, feel free, I won’t resist."
A burning jealousy surged within Lin Chen’s heart, he tightly clenched his fists, aiming a punch at the man’s throat, but suddenly he turned quickly.
"I’ll say it again, I hope you’ll spare the people of the Kunlun sect, and you might not defeat them." The old man stated.
Lin Chen could easily defeat the old man, but since he departed, there was no need to pursue him relentlessly.
He might even require his help in the future.
Lin Chen watched as the man’s silhouette gradually receded, standing there trembling slightly.
He didn’t know why, but the internal forces within him began to clash vigorously once more.
