Qin Mengfan saw that several people wanted to go inside and frowned, "Captain Li, let’s be cautious. I feel that this villa is rather strange."
For some reason, in the vicinity of the villa, Qin Mengfan had sensed an extremely unusual fluctuation of Spiritual Power, which unsettled her mind.
"Mengfan, aren’t you usually pretty brave? Why have you suddenly become so timid?" Da Fei mocked.
"You don’t really believe there are ghosts in this world, do you? Mengfan, rest assured, even if there really were ghosts, I would blast them away with one shot." A Niu shook the gun in his hand and said.
"Haha, Mengfan, if you’re scared, just stay outside and keep watch. We three will go in," Li Dajun said with a smile.
Qin Mengfan wanted to persuade them further, but Li Dajun had already led the other two into the villa.
"Damn it!" Qin Mengfan tried calling Lin Chen again, but still, there was the sound of the call being unable to connect.
Just as Qin Mengfan was getting anxious, sudden bursts of gunfire echoed from inside the villa.
"Damn it, something has surely happened." Qin Mengfan gritted her teeth and rushed into the villa.
The whole villa felt ominous to Qin Mengfan, and a scent of blood wafted out from inside.
"Captain Li, Da Fei, A Niu, where are you?" Qin Mengfan walked inside while calling out.
However, the villa was eerily quiet, with not a sound to be heard.
Crack!
A bolt of lightning tore across the sky, and suddenly Qin Mengfan caught sight of a shadow passing by in front of her.
"Who’s there?" Qin Mengfan quickly followed the shadow up to the second floor of the villa.
No sooner had she reached the second floor of the villa than Qin Mengfan saw three figures standing by the window.
"Captain Li, Da Fei, A Niu, why are you standing here? You scared me to death. What happened just now?" Qin Mengfan asked.
However, as she approached the three people, her face suddenly turned ugly. All three of them had gunshot wounds, and each had a grim bloodstain on their neck.
Qin Mengfan carefully approached the three and suddenly, her expression drastically changed.
The chests of all three were hollowed out, their hearts disappeared.
The scene was too gory and horrifying, Qin Mengfan, being a girl, screamed in fright at the horrific sight.
Just then, a grim scythe somehow appeared at Qin Mengfan’s throat.
Feeling the coolness at her neck, Qin Mengfan’s face dramatically changed as she quickly backed away, her hands surging with flames, hurling a fireball behind her.
"Boom!" The shadow behind her disappeared instantly, and not far away, a youth in white holding a scythe stood opposite Qin Mengfan.
"Tsk tsk! I didn’t expect you to be a supernatural user," the white-clothed youth said, a sinister smile on his face as he looked at Qin Mengfan.
"Who are you? Did you kill the three of them?" Qin Mengfan asked coldly.
"Hehe, of course, it was me. Only by eating their hearts can I stay forever young. Why wouldn’t I eat them when they came to me?" The white-clothed youth licked the blood at the corner of his mouth, greedily staring at Qin Mengfan.
"You bastard, you actually eat human hearts." Qin Mengfan’s face showed disgust and fear.
The white-clothed youth stared at Qin Mengfan, his bloodied tongue licking his lips: "Actually, you taste even better than them. You’re a supernatural user. Eating your heart could let me live several more years."
"In your dreams!" As the words fell, flames surged in Qin Mengfan’s hands.
"Blaze!" With a flick of the wrist, a fireball shot towards the youth in white.
However, the youth in white had already vanished, and in the next moment, he unexpectedly appeared behind Qin Mengfan.
The scythe, glinting with a cold light, stabbed towards Qin Mengfan’s neck.
Qin Mengfan’s complexion suddenly changed, and she quickly retreated, but the bloodthirsty scythe followed her closely like a shadow, ready to fall and harvest her life at any moment.
"Am I really going to die here?" Qin Mengfan’s face suddenly turned deathly pale.
Qin Mengfan had realized that her opponent was far stronger than herself, and that he hadn’t killed her yet only because he was playing a cat-and-mouse game, ready to kill her at any moment if he wished.
Desperation slowly enveloped Qin Mengfan’s face, and she felt a tinge of regret for not waiting for Lin Chen to come here with her.
Just as she was distracted, the youth in white suddenly appeared in front of her again.
A foot landed heavily on Qin Mengfan’s chest.
"Bang!" Qin Mengfan’s body shot backward like a cannonball and slammed heavily into the wall.
"Tsk, tsk! You’re too weak, it’s really boring, so you might as well just die!" With those words, the youth in white’s scythe shimmered, stabbing straight towards Qin Mengfan’s chest.
A wry smile of resignation crossed Qin Mengfan’s lips, "She never dreamt that she would die with her heart eaten, such a tragic way for it to end."
"Haha, your heart is mine now." The youth in white laughed sinisterly, the grim scythe slowly piercing towards Qin Mengfan’s chest.
"It’s over, I’m definitely going to die," Qin Mengfan resignedly closed her eyes.
However, to Qin Mengfan’s surprise, the heart-wrenching pain did not come. She opened her eyes, confused, and tears immediately welled up.
In the moment before the bloodthirsty scythe could pierce her, Lin Chen appeared and caught the blade of the scythe with his hand.
"How is this possible?" The youth in white showed a look of surprise on his face.
It should be known that his bloodthirsty scythe was renowned for its speed, accuracy, and ruthlessness, yet Lin Chen managed to block the scythe aimed at Qin Mengfan with just one hand.
"I’m sorry, I’m late." Lin Chen said apologetically after glancing at Qin Mengfan.
Qin Mengfan felt as though she had survived a great disaster and angrily said to Lin Chen, "You jerk, your phone was off. If my heart had been eaten by him, I wouldn’t let you off even as a ghost."
Lin Chen’s eyes gleamed with icy firmness, "Don’t worry, I will find a way to repay tenfold the pain you’ve suffered."
"Tsk, tsk, where did you come from, kid, daring to disturb this young master’s meal?" The youth in white looked impatiently at Lin Chen.
But as soon as his words fell, Lin Chen’s body had already appeared in front of the youth in white.
"Bang!"
Lin Chen sent the youth in white flying with a straight kick.
Boom!
The youth in white crashed heavily into the wall, like a cannonball.
Lin Chen slowly approached the youth in white, "Speak up, who are you? Where is Anna?"
The youth in white wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, revealing a sinister smile, "Kid, you’re pretty strong. It’s been a long time since someone put me in such a sorry state, very good, you’ve riled me up today."
"Is that so? Just now I said, the pain my friend has endured, I will repay tenfold. This is just the beginning," Lin Chen stated coldly as he slowly walked towards the youth in white.
