"Please report." The words from the Blowing Snow Tower Master were concise.
The Law Hall Elder frowned. These people carried an air of arrogance but had become lackeys of the Prince Mansion, humiliating the disciples of his mountain sect. His East Xuan Mountain did not bow to such tyranny, his brows like mountain peaks exuding strength, as his robes fluttered with the wind.
In the next moment, he suddenly rose, swift like a startled swallow towards the entourage of the Prince Mansion, with a surge of True Qi bursting forth.
The robust aura of the Peak Martial Vault propelled him like a cannonball, charging directly at the Prince Mansion group.
Wind Chasing Guest, Flowing Cloud Sword, and Blowing Snow Tower Master—their initially cold or indifferent expressions all changed, uttering a snort of anger.
Immediately, their bodies transformed into three streaks of Spirit Light of various colors, rushing to intercept.
"Boom!"
A burst of explosive sound from the collision in the air.
A layer of light spread over the stone steps below.
Those three so-called worldly society stalwarts were instantly knocked aside in the brief exchange, with the horses beneath them bursting into bloody fragments from the residual shockwaves.
And that Law Hall Elder, transformed into a startling spectacle, crossed over a hundred span in distance, reaching directly for the black carriage!
"Swoosh"
"Swoosh"
"How dare you!"
A chorus of shouts arose around the carriage, accompanied by the sound of swords being drawn, as the protectors around pounced towards him like hungry tigers, ready to slash at him.
The Law Hall Elder’s robe bulged, instantly shaking off those attacking individuals. He then transformed his palm into a claw, closing in on the carriage within three spans, and reached directly for the carriage curtains, eager to glimpse the true form of the person inside.
But suddenly, from within the carriage, an overwhelmingly strong aura burst forth, like a heavy hammer, striking towards the Elder.
"Bang!"
His originally swooping body felt the force of the blow, emitting a muffled groan from his throat, as he was sent flying backward.
He was propelled over the heads of the Mountain Guarding Disciples and fell back down.
"Thump thump thump"
Even as he landed, he staggered backward, clutching his chest, each step crushing the stone steps beneath him.
"Elder Han!"
"Elder Han!"
"..."
The Mountain Guarding Disciples exclaimed in alarm, rushing forward to assist the Law Hall Elder.
Unexpectedly, even the highly revered Elder Han of East Xuan Mountain would suffer defeat.
Han Zhong retreated several steps to stabilize himself, waving his hand to signal the disciples around him not to help. Then he raised his gaze to look at the black carriage beneath the mountain gate, his eyes filled with doubt.
Could it be that the King of Beiliang himself has arrived?
Just as he was about to speak, his eyebrows twitched, and then his expression calmed as he addressed the group below,
"Follow me!"
"The Mountain Master is already aware of your presence and awaits you in the Council Hall."
With that, the Law Hall Elder turned and silently waved his hand, "Make way, let the esteemed guests of the Prince Mansion enter the mountain."
The Mountain Guarding Disciples’ faces flushed with righteous indignation, but they reluctantly made way at Elder Han’s command.
Meanwhile, the three Beiliang stalwarts below didn’t fare well, their posturing disrupted by Elder Han, even their horses reduced to blood and flesh.
They could only grimace, soaring up to follow the Elder Han through the mountain gate, while the carriage resumed its tranquil pace, the rest of them falling back into formation to follow.
Thus, they followed and entered the mountain!
Upon entering, they found a hidden paradise of towering ancient trees, forming a gateway to the celestial realm. Beyond the mountain gate lay a vast square, paved with Han Baiyu stone, immaculate, with a monumental Sword Furnace at its center. The furnace, massive and spanning a hundred spans, was cast in bronze, its design simple yet grand, containing thousands of treasured swords, Sword Qi soaring within like threads, swirling above the square, creating sounds of air-slicing or metallic clink.
Behind the square was a cliff resembling a heavenly chasm, obscured in mystery.
"To the sword!"
"This is your pass to enter our Grotto Heaven, without it, you will be obliterated by the prohibition, please make your choice!"
Elder Han soared onto an illusory sword shadow, speaking indifferently, the shadow underfoot whistling as it headed for the cliff.
The Prince Mansion delegation behind him, sharp-eyed and well-trained, remained composed without any chaos or commotion, each stepping onto the Sword Qi to follow through the cloud sea to the precipice.
Quickly, they traversed the vast white cloud sea, entering a realm of flaming red mountains, lush with towering ancient trees, occasionally spotting agile spirit deer and immortal cranes, their movements graceful, feathers snow-white, imbued with vitality, akin to spirits of the mountain,
At this moment, sunlight pierced through the clouds, bathing the mountains in golden light, painting a dreamlike and fantastic picture. Mist draped over the mountain range like silk, the far hills undulating in the haze, half-revealed, resembling celestial mountains and jade pavilions, inspiring awe and longing.
Among them, rainbows flitted through the mountains, with Cave Heaven Disciples traveling in their light.
The previously tranquil East Xuan Mountain, stirred by the arrival of the Prince Mansion’s entourage, drew the attention of the passing disciples, who stopped and watched as they descended before the Heavenly Prayer Hall of the main peak.
The disciples noticed that the newcomers had lifted the carriage from its mount, turning it into a sedan, which prompted much discussion as they brought it directly into the hall.
"Who are these people?"
"Entering our Grotto Heaven hall without alighting, such arrogance!"
"So haughty and disrespectful?"
"Oh, I heard they’re from the Royal Beiliang Mansion..."
"....."
After the group entered the mountain, a pale blue bird fluttered its wings, traversing the cloud sea from the southeast and entering East Xuan Mountain.
The bird seemed to have a unique method of navigating the cloud sea prohibitions without losing direction, its golden pea-sized eyes scanning the mountain landscape below.
Its eyes darted around, wings fluttering, as it noticed many East Xuan Mountain disciples gathering around an imposing building on one mountain.
The pale blue bird’s golden eyes turned several times, aiming for the mountain, circling briefly before folding its wings, landing on an ancient tree in the square, its pea-sized eyes curious, head tilted as if listening attentively to something.
Approximately the time it takes for half a cup of tea later, a disquieting aura emanated from the hall, a deafening roar expanding outward, stirring furious winds.
Outside, disciples exclaimed in surprise, retreating a few steps, as speculation about the events within the Council Hall intensified.
The pale blue bird clinging to the swaying ancient tree with fluttering wings, although its claws tightly clenched the branch, its golden eyes akin to human eyes, pupils suddenly contracted, the golden light converging into a pinpoint glisten.
Before long,
A disciple’s voice rang out.
"Look, they’re coming out!"
The entourage from the Royal Beiliang Mansion emerged from the Council Hall, people unchanged, accompanied by the black sedan.
As they exited, they cast condescending glances towards the observing disciples of East Xuan Mountain, carrying an air of might, ascending to the skies.
Amongst these watchful eyes, none noticed the pale blue bird perched among the tree branches, its golden pinpoints staring at the ascending black carriage, glinting with unusual light.
....
Law Hall Elder Han Zhong emerged from the Council Hall, a perpetual frown etched on his brow, soaring aloft to a peak several miles from the main summit.
There, amidst pavilions and towers, with clouds swirling, was his dojo!
He landed before a building, his brows furrowed in contemplation, intending to enter the room.
At this moment, a voice suddenly echoed in his ear.
"Master, Third Junior Brother has a letter!"
Han Zhong looked up, following the voice to see his second disciple approaching with a kite in hand.
