"What determines this ranking?"
Someone in the crowd asked.
"Hm. That question gets to the point."
The middle-aged man in green robes nodded slightly.
"What determines the ranking? Naturally, strength. And what determines strength? It is comprehensively determined by your results in the two trial pagodas."
"The two trial pagodas are the Extreme Dao Pagoda and the Endless Pagoda. The Extreme Dao Pagoda tests your individual strength, while the Endless Pagoda tests your comprehensive combat power and survival ability. You will understand the specifics after you experience them yourselves."
"Since I have mentioned the two trial pagodas, I will also tell you about the Six Great Secret Realms."
"The two trial pagodas are where you temper yourselves and earn points, while the Six Great Secret Realms are where you spend points to strengthen yourselves."
"Among the Six Great Secret Realms, the most important is the Enlightenment Pagoda. Inside this pagoda, eighteen sticks of Extreme Dao Spiritual Sandalwood Incense are lit at all times. Cultivating there for one day is equivalent to at least one month in the outside world."
"Hiss!"
The middle-aged man in green robes’ words immediately shook everyone’s minds.
The effect of Extreme Dao Spiritual Sandalwood Incense was similar to Dao Enlightenment Spiritual Sandalwood Incense. It increased comprehension ability and guided one’s cultivation.
However, its effect was ten times stronger than Dao Enlightenment Spiritual Sandalwood Incense.
Dao Enlightenment Spiritual Sandalwood Incense was mainly useful for cultivators below the Spirit Manifestation Realm. For Spirit Manifestation Realm experts, its effect was not especially significant.
However, Extreme Dao Spiritual Sandalwood Incense was different.
It was a precious treasure that even Spirit Manifestation Realm experts could greatly benefit from.
Every single stick of Extreme Dao Spiritual Sandalwood Incense was worth a considerable fortune, yet eighteen sticks were lit at all times inside the Enlightenment Pagoda.
This was simply extravagant to the extreme.
Even many elders of the Five Supreme Factions could not enjoy such treatment.
It seemed Elder Qing had not been exaggerating when he said the Genius Training Camp would provide the top cultivation resources in the entire Northern Territory.
"However..."
Seeing the shocked expressions of the crowd, the middle-aged man in green robes changed his tone and spoke indifferently.
"There are only nine rooms in total within the Enlightenment Pagoda, while there are about eight hundred cultivators in the Genius Training Camp. Since there are many people and few rooms, it naturally cannot be distributed equally."
"Among the Six Great Secret Realms, the Enlightenment Pagoda is the only place where points cannot be used to exchange for time. How much time you can spend in the Enlightenment Pagoda each month is entirely determined by your ranking on the Ranking Tablet."
"For example, Mu Tu, who is ranked first on the Ranking Tablet, can occupy one room in the Enlightenment Pagoda by himself and enter or leave as he pleases."
"But if your ranking is at the very bottom, then the time you can spend in the Enlightenment Pagoda each month will be a pitiful one hour."
"This..."
The group was instantly speechless.
What could they possibly achieve in one hour?
Even in a place like the Enlightenment Pagoda, one day of cultivation was equivalent to a month outside. But one hour was simply too short.
Just as they gained a slight realization, they would immediately be forced to leave.
If that were true, it would be truly pathetic.
It would be like owning a mountain of gold but being allowed to scrape off only one tiny gold bean.
"Aside from the Enlightenment Pagoda, the other five major secret realms are Golden Light Mountain, Wooden Man Alley, Flowing Water Waterfall, Magma Cave, and Gravity Chamber. Time in all five of these secret realms can be exchanged using points."
"As a side note, points are the only circulating currency within the Genius Training Camp. All transactions within the camp must be conducted using points. If private transactions involving Source Stones or similar items are discovered, you will be immediately expelled from the Genius Training Camp."
"Based on your ranking, the training camp will issue you some points every month. Of course, the main way to obtain these points is through the two trial pagodas, the Extreme Dao Pagoda and the Endless Pagoda. As for the specifics, you will experience them yourselves later."
"Alright. That is all I have to say. Next, find an unoccupied stone house and settle down."
After the middle-aged man in green robes finished speaking, his figure instantly vanished from the spot.
At the same time, ripples appeared on the Ranking Tablet, and more than twenty names were added to the very bottom.
The rankings on the Ranking Tablet were determined by the results of the two trial pagodas.
Since Li Yun and the others had just entered the Genius Training Camp and had not challenged the trial pagodas yet, their results naturally placed them at the very bottom.
Among them, Li Yun’s ranking was relatively the highest, at seven hundred and eighty-fourth place, while the last person was ranked eight hundred and eleventh.
"Huh? More rookies have arrived?"
Just then, six cultivators happened to walk out from the stone house area.
They arrived before the Ranking Tablet and saw the two dozen extra names that had appeared on it.
"Li Yun?"
The person standing at the front was a black-robed youth at the 2nd level of Spirit Manifestation Realm.
When he saw Li Yun’s name, his eyebrows immediately shot up.
"If I remember correctly, this Li Yun is the fellow who took first place in this session’s Heaven’s Chosen Assembly, right?"
"That is right. It is him."
The cultivators behind him were all at the 1st level of Spirit Manifestation Realm, but they had all reached the perfection stage of that realm.
One of them spoke plainly.
"It seems the group from the Heaven’s Chosen Assembly has arrived."
"Oh?"
The black-robed youth raised his eyebrows slightly, and his gaze swept across Li Yun and the others.
That gaze was like that of a high and mighty emperor inspecting his subjects.
Such a look immediately caused Li Yun to frown.
As for someone with a more unruly temperament like Xie Wushang, he directly let out a cold snort.
"Tsk, tsk. It seems these new rookies have quite the temper."
The black-robed youth immediately burst into laughter.
"You cultivators from the Heaven’s Chosen Assembly have finally arrived. I have been waiting for you for a long time."
"As a dignified 2nd level Spirit Manifestation Realm powerhouse, I exhausted all my effort just to obtain a spot when I wanted to enter this Genius Training Camp. Yet you people obtained spots effortlessly simply because you achieved some results in a mere Heavenly Core Realm competition."
"This is utterly ridiculous."
"Rumors say that the quality of this session’s Heaven’s Chosen Assembly is second only to the session of the Azure Emperor and Radiant Emperor. They call it the second most prosperous session in history, with every participant being a peerless genius."
"But in my opinion, that is complete nonsense."
A look of disdain appeared on his face as he sneered.
"If you people were truly geniuses, how could you let a fellow who was only at the 2nd level of Heavenly Core Realm at the time take the championship?"
"You were all at the 9th level of Heavenly Core Realm, yet you lost to someone at the 2nd level of Heavenly Core Realm. How do trash like you still dare to call yourselves geniuses?"
"In my view, all this talk of a prosperous session and geniuses gathering like clouds is nothing but nonsense. These are ridiculous lies you fabricated to cover your own incompetence."
"In reality, none of you are geniuses, and none of you are worthy of being called a prosperous generation. You are simply a bunch of incompetent trash. Trash like you are destined to be eliminated right from the beginning."
