"The matter we agreed on before..."
Meluna took a step forward, causing her ample figure to press tightly against Li Ang, which made him feel awkward.
Seeing other exceptionally beautiful female classmates present, Andasu opened her mouth, but what she wanted to say got stuck in her throat.
But both of them were introverted in nature, one black and one white, with Li Ang in between forming a standoff. It seemed that their emotions also became awkward due to each other’s presence, even creating a sense of low pressure.
"This one too," Li Ang indicated to Meluna, Andasu was also a partner who had forgotten the matter.
Even though he spoke the truth, having two partners who were both beautiful girls made the black-haired girl have some doubts about her childhood sweetheart.
"Did they agree?" Li Ang took over the conversation, breaking the stiff atmosphere.
"Yes, they’re willing to let you go talk again," Andasu said softly.
"Thank you," Li Ang smiled at her.
Andasu lowered her head a bit shyly.
"No, it’s...it’s nothing to thank, because there were no classes in the afternoon, I went back and talked with them immediately."
"I..."
"If Li Ang has classes now, I won’t disturb you. From now until one hour after school ends, I’ll be over there, you can come over anytime."
The White Wolf couldn’t quite handle Meluna’s scrutinizing gaze and didn’t dare to greet her, much less inquire about her relationship with Li Ang. Moreover, more nearby classmates began to take notice of them, and all three present were quite famous, so after she finished speaking, she left in an almost panic-stricken manner.
"Them?"
As soon as Andasu left, Meluna seemed more concerned and asked.
Li Ang glanced at her, seeing the girl’s fingers turning somewhat pale from gripping the sword hilt tightly.
Even though after reversal she seemed as loyal as a dog, Li Ang had an inexplicable intuition, or maybe he was just purely afraid that she still had explosive mechanisms within her.
So, he had to explain to her again.
"That society wanting to transfer schools, they were all members of past partnerships."
"Is that so."
Meluna didn’t say much, but it was evident she couldn’t completely accept it, pondering with a thoughtful look whether her boyfriend was telling the truth, or if he was making some joke she couldn’t understand.
"Let’s go, class is starting."
Li Ang pulled Meluna along to meet up with Meimei, starting the second class of the afternoon.
The subsequent classes went without a hitch, and Li Ang’s last class was free. After explaining the situation, he headed back to the school’s forest.
To prevent Meimei from causing trouble, he and Meluna agreed not to tell her about the Mirror Monster and the Secret Demon, waiting until after seeing the transfer society, and then discussing it together in the evening when they got home.
For some reason, he thought he’d have to work hard to persuade Meluna, but the black-haired girl agreed straight away.
Facing Meimei’s clueless look, Meluna showed no sense of guilt, and her expression didn’t betray any insincerity or flaws.
Returning to the camp, Li Ang ran into ALulu who was training.
The pink-haired girl was expressionless, her childlike features looking cold, fully immersed in a state of combat.
In front of her, a pile of uprooted trees, including their roots, was stacked together four to five meters high like a small mountain.
ALulu wielded a giant stone axe, just like the big club before, very crude, full of hammer marks, evidently a makeshift weapon she crafted herself.
Relying on the brute force from the Power God bloodline, even with such things, she could fight against professionally trained Magic Discipline Committee members.
"Heeyah!"
The soft and sticky shout wasn’t piercing, nor did it feel aggressive, but rather like a cute little girl’s act of pleading.
Yet, at the instant she struck, everything changed. The giant axe needed just one swing to split the woodpile in half, and those splintering and rebounding large pieces of wood bore the brunt of her rampaging strength, shattering as they took flight.
In a mere ten seconds, the girl who resembled a doll transformed into a beast, using her power without any method, her prominent horn crashing everywhere. Not only did she toss the wood chunks, but she also uprooted some unplanned trees, flinging dirt into the air.
This was completely opposite to the original ALulu.
Even with immense power, ALulu always maintained a controlled state, keeping her moves balanced and her strength moderate, using it properly and with ease.
But the reversed ALulu truly gave the impression of a Berserker at any given moment. Li Ang even had an illusion that if she entered a fierce battle now, her nails and teeth might become weapons, let alone using her horn for headbutting, an attack move that was a natural talent of the Horned Race.
Li Ang squinted, realizing the reversed Xiaoniu wasn’t using her Paladin power. Her professional abilities were essentially dormant, all her force relied on bloodline power.
For those with formidable talent, using bloodline power felt more seamless and exhilarating, as opposed to repeatedly contemplating doctrines and restrictions, practicing self-control. Utilizing power this way surely felt more "pleasant."
However, losing control and falling into the abyss often began here.
Li Ang silently watched ALulu unleash her power, suddenly understanding more why Baal chose that method to educate her.
Being a Paladin wasn’t just a hope for her, it also set a limit, not as a shackle, but as a guideline, continuously elevating how she should properly wield her power.
The reversed ALulu, with her savage ferocity exposed, can be interpreted as her lacking this shackle.
