Finally, from that, Li Ang confirmed that the hidden location to be revealed based on the exploration in the system map is in the same place as where the Bailong Sect is located.
This way Li Ang’s plan can be executed without hindrance.
"Why did you come to find me?" Li Ang asked Andasu.
"Tomorrow is the last day for preparation, I want to be fully ready, so there are some things I want to consult about."
After dinner, a group of people all gathered in Li Ang’s room.
"Why are all of you here?"
Zoe blinked: "I’m curious about what’s going on."
Dorothy snorted: "I’m here to keep an eye on you, to see if you’ll do anything bad."
ALulu tilted her head: "Can’t I come?"
Li Ang shook his head, not wanting to speak.
So the three of them immediately found comfortable spots to stay, making the small room feel incredibly crowded, almost suffocating.
Andasu took a gun from her waist and handed it to Li Ang with both hands.
In her battles, she also used the gun for unexpected attacks; from the first time he saw her, Li Ang knew from the panel that this was a Tier 2 gun.
"Hmm? You’ve modified it?"
Now the gun that the beast eared maiden took out is Tier 3. Li Ang picked it up and saw it has been equipped with some mechanical enhancements, thus improving its efficiency.
"You’ve let me focus on Mechanical Engineering, and I... I suddenly thought of modifying it this way, what do you think?"
Andasu looked over with a hint of expectation in her golden eyes.
Li Ang nodded, she truly has a talent in this area, with just a little focus new ideas emerged.
"Pretty good, especially this idea on stabilizing..."
Praising her with his understanding of Equipment Creation, the young girl’s tail swayed behind her, and her beast ears perked up.
"Come back again tomorrow," Li Ang told her, "I’ll help enhance your entire setup."
Andasu bowed in thanks, then said, "There’s another matter."
"What is it?"
"It’s about our Yunxiang Race."
The young girl said, within the Yunxiang Race, there are many secrets, during difficult times the written materials recording these secrets were lost or destroyed, leaving only oral accounts.
Previously, information about various heritages was also conveyed to the young girl by her kin.
"Our combat arts, racial secrets, anything thought of was recorded here."
The kin also knew Andasu was about to take a crucial step, hence they compiled this information previously not wanted by the Platinum King.
"Is it alright to give it to me?"
"I have the authority to make this decision."
Andasu smiled wistfully: "On the other hand, before falling under the Sangrus Clan’s enslavement, the Yunxiang Race was already a displaced and destitute tribe. We have been continuously losing people who understood the heritage and secrets, and those who still remember are all broken and scattered records."
Beast eared maiden said: "These pieces of information cannot be pieced together, I think it’s unnecessary to treat them as treasures. If given to a true powerhouse to view, maybe it could exhibit some of its original effects."
Li Ang took the notebook she handed over and opened it.
The first few pages are titled "History of the Yunxiang Race".
These words simply and somewhat incoherently record the origins of the Yunxiang Race.
"Our Yunxiang Race is the descendant of the Beast God, noble blood flows through our bodies. Our homeland once held countless palace spires, an endless oasis lay before our eyes, symbolizing the great achievements forged by following the Beast God’s glory, it was His reward for our struggle against the World’s End enemies."
The opening paragraph sets an incredibly high tone.
Not only Li Ang but the other three girls also read this part.
They immediately started chattering in discussion.
Dorothy asked: "Did you have grand palaces? Where are they?"
"It should be in the Yunxiang Race’s homeland." Andasu said.
"Which island is that?"
"I don’t know, during the hundreds of years in exile, no one knows anymore."
Dorothy’s lips moved as if wanting to speak, but she didn’t dare to.
Li Ang could understand what she was thinking, this sounds just like a story concocted by an exiled race, to others, even if the Yunxiang Race truly had a so-called "homeland", it may not be as magnificent as they describe it.
These kinds of stories are not uncommon among the Adventurers in Nebis.
People sometimes set out to find a paradise described in a story, most return unsuccessfully, a few find the target, but often it’s vastly different from their imagination, real major discoveries are rare.
Outsiders also have a doubt — since you were so glorious before, how could you fall to the point of slavery?
Li Ang said something polite: "Perhaps it’s obscured by massive changes in the natural environment, or perhaps it’s on undiscovered islands; there should be many such islands still existing."
"What is the Beast God?" Zoe asked.
She was concerned about the so-called Beast God.
She recalled: "The people of Frost Heaven Island, they believe their city was built with the help of a giant wolf."
"I understand your point." Li Ang said.
From the perspective of a half-elf, the naive and innocent little cat did not doubt this account; she even believed that Beast Gods existed.
From her own experiences, she thought maybe the Beast God was a Star Soul.
If the Yunxiang Race’s history is true, it’s hard to say, because what Li Ang knows as entities that can be called gods and also beasts, previously only included the King of the Island, now with the addition of Star Souls.
"Against the World’s End enemies?" ALulu focused on the last sentence.
"Something wrong?" Li Ang asked her.
"The Goddess also destroyed the Crimson Demon that was going to destroy the world, saving the people." ALulu said.
In the classics of the Wotam Sect, there are many accounts of the Goddess of Kindness eradicating Crimson Demons who sought to plunge the world into corruption, these stories are already widely known.
"The Crimson Demons, even the Sword King who founded the Guild fought them." Dorothy smiled: "The Guild probably took this from here."
Li Ang nodded.
Such accounts are abundant in various stories in Nebis, people are already accustomed to them.
"Crimson Demons" is like a placeholder for an evil entity, before Fukate cursed Li Ang, also calling him a Crimson Demon. A major inherent attribute of them is wanting to annihilate the world.
"Do the Crimson Demons have anything to do with the Bloody Red Land?" Zoe pondered with her arms across her chest.
Soon after arriving, Li Ang noticed this cultural trait of Nebis. He guessed it’s because the most basic concept of death in the Cloud World is falling from the Sky Island, plunging into the Bloody Red Land below, this primal understanding shaped the concept of "Crimson Demons" in Nebis people’s minds.
Li Ang continued flipping through the notebook brought by Andasu.
"We once stood shoulder to shoulder with other great races, and like them, we mastered the unique great power belonging to our race. This power is closely tied with the Beast God and is an honor etched into our souls."
The next two lines elaborate, this refers to the "Blood Fragrance" of the Yunxiang Race.
The small inn room was crowded with five people, and from the start, one could faintly smell an unusual scent from Andasu, becoming more pronounced with the heat ALulu emitted.
"The scent of blood, when the enemy inhales it, their head and body are already separated, their soul devoured by the Reverse Abyss."
The Yunxiang Race’s account states that when they unleash their body’s explosive power, the blood fragrance becomes very intense.
But, this is not merely the result of explosive power activation.
"Bathed in blood fragrance, the enemy will be unable to act, nor see our race’s movements clearly."
Andasu said: "My parents have spoken many times, saying the blood fragrance can be used proactively to make people lose their ability to resist."
"But you don’t use it."
Li Ang previously thought this racial talent was very strange, though it undoubtedly boosts explosive power, the Yunxiang Race seems to be more inclined towards an agile but weak strength stance compared to other Beast-Earkin, this scent for an agility-focused warrior who relies on stealth and sudden attacks might be more of a burden than an advantage.
"Was the method of utilizing this power lost during the exile?"
The young girl shook her head: "The kin say, this power is innate to us, just like beasts know how to use their claws and teeth, we should have been born knowing how to use it."
"But perhaps during the exile, we gradually lost the Beast God’s favor, and thus, we became unable to utilize the blood fragrance.
"The kin all say I have golden eyes, having the bloodline nearest to the Beast God, my blood fragrance effect is much stronger than others, maybe there’s a chance to master it again.
"I have no clue about this, but you have already controlled me with that magic."
Andasu bowed to Li Ang: "Please directly command me to utilize the true function of the blood fragrance."
