"An! You’re really too outstanding! Excellent in magic class, versatile in sports!"
"Yes, yes, about the previous invitation, please consider it!"
Andasu smiled reluctantly, raising her hands as if wanting to push others away but didn’t dare to, so she had to smile apologetically.
Li Ang listened from not far away, feeling the high popularity of White Wolf in the Reversed World school.
Mistrem is the most open of the three major Magic Academies, with many student club activities. From a student’s perspective, she is a versatile talent accepted by many clubs, so the clubs inviting her range from sports to academic research.
Li Ang had a point of concern: Andasu is an honors student.
Not that he looks down on his own girls, but in the Reversed World, the three who seemed most like honors students turned out to be members of the transfer protest association, which is pretty much completely against school rules. So why does Andasu retain her honor student status?
Originally, she had a thirst for knowledge, even though it wasn’t much related to magic. However, Mistrem’s subjects are numerous, and in the Official Academy, it’s already a selection system. She wanted to learn knowledge related to Mechanical Engineering, and there are subjects corresponding to it, so it wasn’t strange that she was an honors student originally in Mistrem.
But she remains an honors student in the Reversed World, which confirms Li Ang’s earlier speculation—that the reversal is not simply about reversing everything about them but is purposeful.
Looking at the current Andasu, the most obvious change is her character and will becoming weak.
Li Ang was still curious why, as an honors student, she would join the transfer association? In the Reversed World, it seems there’s no Star Flower Travel Corps concept; otherwise, those camping in the forest would have to include Zoe, Dorothy, and the Da and Xiao Mei estates.
Amidst the crowd, Andasu struggled to cope with the enthusiasm of everyone. She seemed not only unadapted but also unwilling to join those clubs.
And evidently, other students were unaware she was a member of the transfer association. From Meimei’s tone, the bad students in the woods had already become a kind of school horror legend, and if her identity was exposed, it would definitely make people avoid her.
Fortunately, the students’ entanglement wouldn’t last long. Now it was only the third period in the morning, with another class to go before lunch break.
Andasu couldn’t give an answer, nor would she anger her classmates because everyone wanted her. If she gave a simple answer, it would rather cause disputes and doubts, and now this formed a balance.
Watching the surrounding people gradually disperse, each preparing for the next class, Andasu leaned against a wall, breathed a big sigh of relief, and sipped from her mineral water bottle.
White Wolf wore modern athletic uniforms, and her fitted curves and tall, slender legs were better accentuated. Although Li Ang knew every bit about her, he had to admit the sense of youth had already overflowed.
Andasu packed up to leave, yet a few students approached from afar, and as they came closer, passersby started jeering too.
Leading this group was a rare High-tier Academy student, his Spirituality ebullient, and the magic power he incited faintly hinted at accumulated strength, standing before the Excellence Realm, recognized as a talent.
His target was naturally Andasu.
"Senior Langsen, my next Alchemy class is about to start..."
"I know, An, but the opportunity to speak with you is too rare. I won’t take up much of your time, okay?"
The young girl was so nervous she was on tiptoes, but facing the young man’s enthusiasm and the gaze of those around, she forcibly held back even the instinct to retreat.
"Senior Langsen and An are both outstanding!" a teasing girl said.
"Damn it, just happens to be that guy getting the lead." A boy with thoughts said.
"If it wasn’t him, you wouldn’t dare. You wouldn’t be fit for it." Another boy sneered at the former but seemed to realize his own inadequacy after speaking and retreated in silence.
The Beast-eared Maiden’s golden eyes swept around, except for Langsen and his supporters, there were "considerate" classmates. Yes, it seemed a good thing to everyone, but she simply didn’t want this.
She looked like she was seeking help, trying to find someone with a different opinion from these people so that she might be rescued.
But the anxiety and appeal in her eyes were merely seen as shyness by others, further strengthening their well-intentioned push.
"Wait a moment." Li Ang pushed through the crowd forward.
After pushing aside two people, he frowned. Despite shouting loudly enough, these students acted like he didn’t exist.
The voice hadn’t come out. Li Ang quickly realized something was amiss.
He tried to speak again, but this time the sound seemed to fall into a swamp, and a heavier sensation descended upon him.
It was a confinement-type magic. Li Ang’s Spirituality warned him, the Bloody Hand suddenly reached out, tearing apart the magic’s spiritual structure in one strike and breaking it, then following the magic power’s pulse to grab the shadow rising from beside Li Ang’s feet.
A shadow? Isn’t this—
The shadow merged into the feet of those present, its true form difficult to discern. Li Ang initiated the Spiritual Horizon, peeling away the surface, discovering the spiritual trail in the shadow led to the corner of the distant teaching building.
That was precisely where Langsen wanted to speak privately with Andasu.
Is this thing the "behind-the-scenes shadow"? Unexpectedly, it indeed takes the form of a shadow.
