"It seems they’re making quite a racket." Lily said.
"Great Witch, does this sort of thing happen often?" Diao asked with a complex expression.
"When I’m around, it’s usually within controllable limits." Li Ang said, rubbing his temples.
"If they keep bugging you, it must be because they really like you," Lily laughed, "Life on the Eternal Summer must be very interesting."
"I’m really grateful for your words." Li Ang shook his head with a complicated expression.
He pulled out the chair in front of his office desk. Lily and Diao each sat on one of the chairs that remained intact for guests, while the other sat on his bed, listening to him summarize the information he had just received.
"Are you saying that some unknown major change in Thousand Tower City has caused them to be trapped inside?" Liluliss asked.
"Pretty much."
Li Ang fiddled with the captain’s room’s communication device’s main unit, which he had set up before he left. Three of the six sub-units were kept as spares on the ship, while the other three were given to Farina, Dorothy, and Anna.
The main unit could communicate with the sub-units separately or simultaneously, but no matter how he sent messages, there was no response. It wasn’t that they were ignoring him; the messages were being intercepted by Thousand Tower City.
"So, entering the city to investigate is inevitable."
"Then let’s hurry up and go." Lily said impatiently.
Li Ang silently took out the remaining three sub-units of the communication device, handing them over to Liluliss and Diao, teaching them how to use it, and then chose rooms for them.
While on Sword Platform Island, Li Ang had also made some equipment for them during his practice time. Lily, being strong after transformation, has mostly functional equipment, while for Diao, the equipment makes a significant difference.
He handed the equipment to them, and they went inside to change. Li Ang then walked onto the deck and raised his wing claw mark to summon.
"Master Annette, can you hear me?"
The wind blew stronger, but the Wind Dragon did not appear.
"Huh, I thought enough time had passed for embarrassing things to be forgotten..." Li Ang muttered to himself.
A gust of strong wind formed beside him, materializing into the image of a young girl with green hair.
"Don’t think I can’t hear you when you say bad things!" The young girl’s face went red as she bit her teeth and said.
Li Ang smiled at her: "Actually, what I want to say is that no one blames you—"
Annette interrupted him with a playful retort: "Mere mortals have no right to blame me! This dragon just, just feels..."
While speaking, she couldn’t lower her tone any further, her youthful face reddened.
"The world is fractured, the Six Dragons bear heavy responsibilities and cannot manifest in their true form, which is unfair. Otherwise, how could that True Blood Prince be a match for you." Li Ang said.
Douding’s expression changed several times but eventually settled calmly, neither embarrassed nor angry.
It seems to have worked. Li Ang thought to himself.
"So? As someone favored by Inanna, and unexpectedly becoming her mate beyond all I knew, recognizing this is quite normal, isn’t it?"
The dragon spirit crossed its arms and said: "Your sweetheart will soon be able to freely drive the true form, you’re so inflated, always laughing at me in your heart right?"
"I was thinking that since the Earth Dragon found a way, and even started progressing Nebis in a good direction, the other Dragon Gods will surely find a way too, especially you, Akuya, and Agni, the other three Elemental Dragons."
Li Ang said: "Later, once I deal with the mortal threats, I want to collaborate with Inanna to help other Dragon Gods lift this inhibition of using their true forms."
Annette stood dazed like a sculpture for a while and then reluctantly snorted, "You have a great imagination. If you really could do it..."
She opened her mouth but couldn’t continue.
Suddenly, her face flushed red, and she chided, "You don’t have any ulterior motives towards me, do you?!"
"I only wish for Nebis to become more peaceful and prosperous."
"Hmph, Spiritual Forger, I will see how true your words are."
"If the Great Earth awakens, maybe the Great Wind’s voice will rise too."
Annette looked at Li Ang and quickly muttered a few ancient dragon language phrases, which he couldn’t comprehend at all.
"What did you say?"
"You, Spiritual Forger... Never mind, it doesn’t matter, did you call me just to talk about this?"
"Yes." Li Ang smiled.
Seeing that Annette seemed unfettered by previous spirited declarations that were contradicted by an ambush from Fafnir, Li Ang had achieved his aim.
If there indeed was a crisis in Thousand Tower City, calling for her help, yet her hesitation due to past events might lose them an opportunity in battle.
"Don’t bother me if there’s nothing else."
Annette pursed her lips and quickly disappeared
Really like a child, as long as acknowledged, she doesn’t dwell anymore.
Li Ang returned to the outside of the young girls’ room, and Lily, who had first finished changing, came out of the room.
She wouldn’t forsake the nun’s robe that held heritage significance, and neither could Li Ang discern its specific power. Asking his girlfriend’s mother to take off the robe for analysis felt too presumptuous, but he knew its defense was no less than legendary equipment and complemented her transformation.
Apart from the robe, Li Ang prepared new gloves and long boots for her, both enhancing fist techniques and kicking skills.
