As soon as Lin Sisi’s words left her mouth, the surrounding crowd turned their gaze toward Chu Liang in unison, who then gave an awkward smile and patted his clothes, saying:
"Haha, although I admit that what you said makes some sense... that’s not the truth of the matter, folks. Look at my clothes—if there were a knife, how could it be hidden?"
With that, he bounced on the spot a couple of times to indicate that it was impossible to conceal a dinner knife in his thin clothing.
Lin Sisi gave a slight smile, her face revealing the confident demeanor of a top student.
"That’s where your cleverness comes in, you took advantage of everyone watching you take the dinner knife from Brother Xiao Man’s pocket. Meanwhile, your other hand quietly passed the knife to that uncle, completing your final step of disengaging."
"If I’m not mistaken, in that uncle’s left pocket is the dinner knife you handed over."
This time, Chu Liang was stunned, the uncle was stunned, and Zhang Xiaoman was stunned. None of them had expected that this young girl, Lin Sisi, could analyze the situation so thoroughly just by listening.
However, the other people present were not willing to let go of such an amusing opportunity so easily. Someone immediately shouted:
"Hey there, old man, why don’t you show us what’s in your left pocket, let everyone see if you’re really a plant or not."
The middle-aged man looked somewhat panicked, shaking his head insistently, reluctant to take out what was in his pocket, his gaze occasionally drifting towards Chu Liang, as if waiting for him to suggest a solution.
At this point, even the most naive of spectators could see that what Lin Sisi had said was true. They all began to jeer, as this kind of mishap in street performances was rare to witness, and even more rare was a flop, which undoubtedly excited them.
Seeing this turn of events, Chu Liang realized the tide had turned against him and could only reluctantly have the middle-aged man pull out the dinner knife from his pocket.
Upon seeing this, the crowd immediately began to exclaim "wow," and after a brief moment of astonishment, they couldn’t help but turn their attention to Lin Sisi again.
How is this girl so incredible? Is she really blind? Compared to her, we seem more blind.
Chu Liang also found the outcome difficult to accept; it was his first street performance failure and the first time someone had directly exposed his trick. What left him speechless was that the revealer of the mystery was a blind young girl.
"How did you know all of this? You obviously can’t... see... Why do you know so clearly?"
Chu Liang looked at Lin Sisi unwillingly, still unable to resist asking the doubt that lingered in his mind.
What he had asked was also what the spectators had been wondering.
Lin Sisi smiled apologetically and said, "I can’t see with my eyes, so your methods can’t forcefully shift my focus. Plus, the uncle’s movements were quite large, the wind, smell, and sounds allowed me to clearly sense his actions... If you close your eyes, you can also pick up on many details usually overlooked."
The crowd nodded in understanding, no longer uttering words of sympathy or pity. Instead, they began to look at her with new eyes.
Zhang Xiaoman glanced at the young girl beside him, amused by the clever move she had just pulled off, which had piqued his interest. At that moment, he had an idea, and the "Flying Sky State" was instantaneously engaged.
Coincidentally, it was at this time that Chu Liang passed the dinner knife used earlier to him, still uttering apologies.
"I’m sorry to both of you for causing trouble, it’s my lack of skill that has disappointed you this time. Let me cover the bill for your meal this time as compensation..."
He was in the middle of his speech when he suddenly stopped, for he was astonished to find that the moment he passed the knife to the other’s hand, it began to float up, spinning continuously in the palm like a "Flying Sword."
Zhang Xiaoman had naturally utilized the floating effect of the Flying Sky State to make the table knife float above his hand, and just as he had thought, this item was indeed classified within the range of a Cold Weapon.
"This... how is this possible..."
At this moment, Chu Liang was also stunned. He had handed over that table knife himself and was certain that there were no hidden mechanisms on either the knife or the opponent’s hand.
Now, he couldn’t figure out the technique the other was using and none of the magic he had learned had anything similar. Could it be that this guy in front of him was actually a hidden Magic Master whose trick he was displaying was one he had developed himself?
The people around were also dumbfounded. They thought the plot twist was stimulating enough, but who could have expected a sequel? The story suddenly shifted from "Magician’s street performance debunked by Blind Girl" to "Magician brutally outclassed by peer in street performance," instantly refilling the intrigue.
Moreover, the technique displayed by Zhang Xiaoman was far more impressive than Chu Liang’s secretive manner. Just watching the table knife float as if it were defying gravity was visually stunning.
Zhang Xiaoman spun the table knife in his hand and then retracted his Skill.
He did not go overboard; the table knife never left more than five centimeters from the palm of his hand, creating the illusion that "this is actually magic, you just can’t see the trick."
As the Skill was retracted, a new idea suddenly struck Zhang Xiaoman’s mind.
Flying Sky State could only control weapons to float around his body and the speed was quite slow. Its main use was to enchant weapons, and he had initially considered it from this angle.
But now, after what had just happened, he wondered what the effect would be if he used this Skill in combination with another one.
The term "Skill combination" instantly flashed through his mind.
Many games had this feature, and since this was the real world, there was no reason it shouldn’t be as flexible as in games, right?
With this thought, Zhang Xiaoman didn’t linger any further. After whispering a few words to Lin Sisi, he took the little girl and went home.
Watching the two walk away, Chu Liang was filled with conflict.
On one hand, he felt that he had made a huge fool of himself, and on the other, he was in awe of the opponent’s strength. Today, he truly had played the lute to a cow.
"Hey, Chu Liang, do we keep shooting? Do we delete this video?" the cameraman asked him.
Chu Liang snapped back to his senses and quickly said, "Don’t delete it, don’t delete it. We still need to upload and publish this video, and I need to keep the last part to observe and study it carefully!"
"Not delete it? Aren’t you afraid of losing fans when your magic is exposed?" the cameraman wondered.
Chu Liang laughed, "How could that possibly make me lose fans? We just need a good title for today’s incident, and it will definitely attract a lot of attention. After all, footage of magic being debunked is rare, and the fact that it was exposed by a Blind Girl makes it even more topical..."
As he spoke, his gaze couldn’t help but follow the direction in which the two had left, muttering to himself:
"No wonder that girl could see through my magic so easily. Turns out her boyfriend is a Magic Master... What was his name again? It seemed the girl called him ’Brother Xiao Man’? Is there such a person in our circle? No, I need to go back and check, to find out exactly who he is..."
ps: Everyone guess, what can this Skill combine with?
