The four guards hesitated, unsure whether they should proceed.
Qin Feiyang laughed and said, "Whoever brings me kindling first will receive a Potential Elixir."
"Wait a moment."
The guard standing at the door immediately turned and vanished in a flash.
The three men surrounding Qin Feiyang looked chagrined. The Potential Elixir held a fatal allure for anyone.
However, they still didn’t understand Qin Feiyang. If it were guards from the Yan Province palace, they certainly wouldn’t have believed his fabrications.
「Within a short while.」
The guard returned, carrying a huge bundle of dry firewood. He hurried over eagerly to Qin Feiyang and asked with a fawning smile, "Master Qin, will these do?"
"Of course." Qin Feiyang nodded, took the firewood from the guard, and said with a smile, "You’re not bad. I’ll take you to see my wondrous hiding artifact."
"Alright, alright." With his head bobbing and bowing, the guard was incredibly excited.
Qin Feiyang grabbed hold of him and entered the ancient castle.
"This place is..." The guard looked around the ancient castle in astonishment, his face filled with surprise.
"Amazing, isn’t it?" Qin Feiyang chuckled and threw the bundle of firewood on the ground.
"It’s not just amazing; it’s utterly incredible." The guard was dumbfounded.
A cold glint flashed in Qin Feiyang’s eyes as he took out a rib bone and smashed it against the back of the guard’s head.
"You..." The guard looked at him in disbelief. The next moment, he toppled over and fainted.
"Xiao Qinzi, what on earth are you trying to do?" The Wolf King looked at Qin Feiyang with suspicion.
Without explaining, Qin Feiyang pocketed the rib bone and quickly stripped off the guard’s black armor, setting it aside. He then took out a piece of clothing from his Qiankun Bag and threw it on the bundle of firewood.
Immediately after, he pulled out a fire starter and set the clothing ablaze. Within a short while, both the clothing and firewood were burning fiercely.
The Wolf King asked in confusion, "What do you mean by this? Are you planning to burn the body and destroy the evidence?"
"Can’t your brain think of anything good for once?" Qin Feiyang rapped him sharply on the head and, carrying the bundle of fiercely burning firewood, reappeared in the Great Hall.
"Brother Qin, what are you up to?"
"Where’s Wang San?"
The three guards watched him in confusion. Wang San was the guard Qin Feiyang had knocked unconscious.
"Wang San is inside enjoying grilled meat." Qin Feiyang flashed a grin and fiercely kicked the bundle of firewood.
Instantly, sparks flew! The three guards, startled, hastily backed away. The firewood splintered and scattered in all directions. One burning piece flew towards a golden curtain. The curtain, being silk, instantly caught fire.
"This..."
"Oh no, he plans to burn down the Golden Throne Hall!"
"You stop him! We’ll put out the fire!"
Their expressions changed drastically. Two of them ran to extinguish the flames. Simultaneously, the other one reached out to seize Qin Feiyang.
WHOOSH!
Qin Feiyang vanished and re-entered the ancient castle. Without a word, he took out a Shape-shifting Pill, popped it into his mouth, and transformed into Wang San’s appearance. He quickly put on the black armor.
Immediately after, he reappeared inside the Great Hall. The guard who had previously tried to capture him was now also fighting the fire. Flammable materials in various places had already ignited! Moreover, the fire was rapidly spreading! The air became unbearably hot.
One of the guards noticed Qin Feiyang and hollered in panic, "Wang San, what are you standing there stunned for? Hurry up and help!"
Another guard angrily said, "You were right there, why didn’t you stop Qin Feiyang?"
Qin Feiyang, putting on an act of being terrified, said, "I didn’t know he was lighting the fire to burn down the Golden Throne Hall! You guys keep an eye on it; I’ll go get more help."
Having said that, Qin Feiyang turned and ran out of the Great Hall in a panic.
"What happened?"
"How did the Golden Throne Hall catch on fire?"
As soon as he ran out of the Great Hall, a dozen guards ran towards him, their faces filled with anxiety.
Qin Feiyang said, "We’ll talk later! Quickly, help put out the fire!"
The dozen guards swiftly ran into the Great Hall.
This is just the beginning.
Qin Feiyang gave a cold smile, glanced ahead, and ran towards the back of the Golden Throne Hall.
A group of palace maids and guards, carrying buckets of water, were running towards him.
"Quickly, go put out the fire!" Qin Feiyang yelled at them.
The group of palace maids and guards didn’t say a word but hurried past him.
Qin Feiyang suddenly reached out and grabbed the last palace maid, saying, "Take me to the princess."
The palace maid looked at him suspiciously.
Qin Feiyang took out Blue Snow and pressed it against her back, saying in a cold voice, "Don’t make a sound, or I’ll kill you!"
The palace maid was about to scream, but upon hearing this, she immediately clamped her mouth shut, her face turning deathly pale.
Qin Feiyang said, "Rest assured, as long as you do as I say, I won’t harm you. Hurry!"
With her head lowered, the palace maid led the way westward along a narrow path within the palace grounds. Qin Feiyang followed closely behind her.
On the way, he encountered several more palace maids and guards rushing towards the Golden Throne Hall. But under his threat, the palace maid dared not make the slightest unexpected move.
「A few hundred breaths later.」

A splendid palace entered Qin Feiyang’s sight. To the left of the palace was a garden. Flowers bloomed in profusion, vying in beauty and splendor; their intoxicating fragrance could be smelled from afar. Lush green saplings swayed in the wind like young maidens. In the middle of the garden sat a pavilion.
Xia Qianqian sat inside the pavilion, with several palace maids attending to her nearby. At the entrance to the garden’s small path stood two guards, staring straight ahead, their gazes unwavering. They were obviously protecting Xia Qianqian.
She certainly knows how to enjoy herself!
Qin Feiyang sneered inwardly. Seeing no one else nearby, he knocked out the palace maid with a palm strike and sent her into the ancient castle.
Then, he put Blue Snow away and rushed towards the garden in a feigned panic.
"Stop!"
The two guards stationed on the small path blocked him. One frowned and asked, "I remember you’re a guard from the Golden Throne Hall. What are you doing here?"
Qin Feiyang said frantically, "The Golden Throne Hall is on fire!"
"What?" The two guards were startled and looked up. Sure enough, they could see a plume of thick smoke rising from the direction of the Golden Throne Hall.
"What’s going on?" they asked in surprise and doubt.
Just as Qin Feiyang was about to speak, Xia Qianqian’s voice came from the pavilion, "What are you two doing over there, making such a fuss?"
Qin Feiyang raised his head to look at Xia Qianqian and said, "Your Highness, Qin Feiyang has set the Golden Throne Hall on fire. The Commander sent me to inform Your Highness not to wander about."
"He actually dared to set the Golden Throne Hall on fire!" Xia Qianqian sprang to her feet, strode out of the pavilion angrily, and looking at Qin Feiyang, questioned, "Where is he now?"
Qin Feiyang replied, "He’s still hiding in that hiding artifact of his."
"Burning down the Golden Throne Hall is a heinous crime! This time, not even Jiang Zhengyi can save him!" A murderous glint flashed in Xia Qianqian’s eyes as she started to walk towards the Golden Throne Hall.
Qin Feiyang quickly jumped in front of her, shaking his head. "Your Highness, you can’t go! It’s too dangerous!"
"Yes, Your Highness, you should return to your chambers first. We subordinates will go check on the situation," the two guards, along with the palace maids, also chimed in to persuade her.
Xia Qianqian frowned and instructed, "Report to me immediately if anything happens."
"Yes!" The two guards respectfully replied and rushed towards the Golden Throne Hall.
Xia Qianqian looked at Qin Feiyang again and frowned. "What are you still doing standing there?"
Qin Feiyang replied, "Your Highness, this subordinate has thought of an ingenious plan. I guarantee it will kill Qin Feiyang and avenge Your Highness."
"Oh?" Xia Qianqian paused and asked, "What kind of ingenious plan?"
Qin Feiyang glanced at the two departing guards. Seeing they were a good distance away, he executed Smoke Step. With a flurry of movements, he swiftly knocked out the few palace maids.
Right after that, before Xia Qianqian could react, he had already drawn Blue Snow and pressed it to the center of her back.
"What are you doing?" Xia Qianqian was shocked and furious.
"Your Highness," Qin Feiyang whispered with a smile, "with so many eyes and ears around, it’s inconvenient to talk."
"Are you rebelling?" Xia Qianqian scolded angrily.
"Rebel?" Qin Feiyang sneered. With a slight increase in pressure, the tip of Blue Snow pierced Xia Qianqian’s clothes, drawing a line of blood on her fair skin.
Qin Feiyang said, "Your Highness, keep your voice down. If you startle this subordinate, my hand might slip and I might accidentally kill you."
Xia Qianqian trembled in body and mind. "What do you want?"
Qin Feiyang said, "Your Highness, I’ll trouble you to take this subordinate to the treasury."
Xia Qianqian said darkly, "You have audacious gall to set your sights on the treasury!"
"Enough nonsense! Hurry up!" Qin Feiyang growled. "Otherwise, I’ll send you to meet Yama right now!"
Xia Qianqian’s delicate body trembled. She started walking along a narrow, winding path and said in a low voice, "If you release me now and apologize to me, I might consider sparing your life. Otherwise, even if you succeed, don’t even think about leaving the Imperial Palace today!"
Qin Feiyang replied, "That’s not for Your Highness to worry about."
「A moment later.」
They arrived before a massive palace. This was King Pan’s bedchamber palace. There were guards at the entrance as well—more than ten of them.
Qin Feiyang glanced at them, then leaned close to Xia Qianqian’s ear and whispered, "Behave yourself. Otherwise, don’t blame this subordinate for being ruthless."
The two of them walked over.
The guards bowed and said, "Greetings, Your Highness."
"Mm," Xia Qianqian nodded and asked, "Where is my Imperial Father?"
One of the guards replied, "His Majesty just went to the Golden Throne Hall. If Your Highness has urgent business, this subordinate can go report to him immediately."
A flicker of disappointment showed in Xia Qianqian’s eyes. She shook her head. "It’s nothing urgent. No need to call him specially. I’ll just wait inside."
Having said that, she walked towards the main hall. Qin Feiyang followed closely behind her.
One of the guards suddenly noticed Xia Qianqian’s unusual state and asked doubtfully, "Your Highness, you don’t look quite right. Are you sweating?"
"It’s nothing, it’s just too hot," Xia Qianqian replied, her expression blank.
Just as Qin Feiyang was about to successfully enter the main hall, a guard on the left suddenly pointed at him and yelled, "You are not allowed inside!"
At the same time, Xia Qianqian lunged forward, falling to the ground, and screamed, "Kill him quickly!"
The dozen or so guards were momentarily stunned, then, brandishing their long spears, they charged at Qin Feiyang!
Damn it!
Qin Feiyang’s expression changed drastically. He hurriedly put Blue Snow away. Because Xia Qianqian had seen Blue Snow before. If she saw it, she would recognize his identity immediately.
