Honestly, I preferred how he was acting just a moment ago—impatient and flustered. When someone’s emotionally unstable, there’s at least a chance you can talk them down.

This was a very bad sign. I was scared something might seriously happen if this continued.

The sharp sound that stabbed through my ears made me flinch on reflex.
Like it was just a piece of tissue, the shirt tore easily in Cha Sahyeon’s hands and fell to the floor.

Cha Sahyeon asked as he looked at my trembling shoulders and hands.

I heard the sound of a cap being twisted off after Cha Sahyeon stepped away. Then, a hand smeared with thick, white ointment came close.
He started with my upper shoulder.
His hand gently spread the ointment over the wound and moved to the back of my neck. The medicated area stung and burned, but his touch was so careful that it was bearable.
As he focused on applying the medicine, a calm stillness settled over the bedroom.
He applied the ointment thoroughly across my back. He was so earnest that he didn’t play around even once for more than ten minutes. Watching him made me feel embarrassed instead.
'Seriously? Was he really just trying to help me?'
It was hard to keep being suspicious. The way he applied the ointment was so clean and clinical.
He only applied it to the injured areas, gently rubbed it in, and then moved on with deliberate seriousness. It made me feel like I’d be the rude one if I asked him to stop.

So the area that needed ointment was wide. I was the one injured, but Cha Sahyeon looked like he was in pain, frowning hard as he applied the ointment.

My bitten lips throbbed, and I couldn’t think straight.
I reflexively leaned back, but Cha Sahyeon grabbed my waist with both hands and pulled me in hard.
My weight shifted backward, and my legs slipped underneath me. I couldn’t hold myself up and ended up falling onto the bed.

I couldn’t take it anymore—I covered my eyes with my hand.
A soft breeze drifted through the open window of the CEO’s office.
Kwon Taehyuk looked up from the documents he was reviewing at the sound of a knock.
“Sir.”
The chief secretary entered, wearing a strangely conflicted expression.
“Um... you have a visitor.”
“A visitor?”
Did he have an appointment today?
