Chokata Toshisuke, who began sword training at the age of nine, already has a full seven years of sword training history, while Aoto, who has been training for less than a year, still has a significant gap compared to Toshisuke.
The most compelling evidence of Aoto’s current strength being far inferior to Toshisuke’s is that when Aoto duels with Toshisuke, "Lone Brave" still activates automatically.
Aoto can only manage to fight to a draw with Toshisuke, whose sword skills are six years more advanced and physical abilities are as strong as a remodeled person, when "Lone Brave" is fully activated.
But as strong as Toshisuke is, he also has two quite obvious shortcomings: lack of stamina and not being good at fighting multiple opponents.
Toshisuke’s combat style is "single-point burst."
In a very short time, he unleashes a fierce storm-like attack on the opponent, quickly finishing them off.
If he fails to defeat the opponent in a very short time... then Toshisuke is in trouble.
Stamina is not Toshisuke’s strength, and once the fight becomes a war of attrition, Toshisuke will run out of steam.
As for Toshisuke’s second shortcoming... for some reason, although he excels at solo duels, he struggles greatly in group battles against multiple opponents.
When multiple enemies come at Toshisuke, he often becomes flustered, unable to fully exert his true strength.
Aoto speculates this might have something to do with Toshisuke’s brain being a bit dull...
Judging from his extremely poor, unlearnable arithmetic skills, Toshisuke is not adept in precise calculations.
If he’s facing just one opponent, Toshisuke’s brain can handle it with ease.
But if multiple enemies are attacking... the enemy in the right front is closing in, the left front enemy is delivering a Kasaya Slash, while the enemy behind waits for an opportunity... in such a complex situation, Toshisuke’s brain might not keep up.
Of course, all of this is Aoto’s speculation, whether it’s true or not has yet to be studied.
After deflecting Aoto’s Reverse Kasaya Slash with a swing, Toshisuke’s posture changed—he took a large step back, and while retreating, he raised the tip of his sword, switching his stance from the Middle Rank to Flat Cyan Eye.
Seeing this stance from Toshisuke, Aoto knew: Toshisuke was about to unleash his signature move!
Among all the sword techniques of the Natural Reasoning Heart Stream, Toshisuke’s specialty is the Thrusting Skill: Unconscious Sword.
Unconscious Sword is originally executed from a Middle Stance, but Toshisuke prefers to start with Flat Cyan Eye.
Isn’t it coincidental?
Aoto’s specialty in Natural Reasoning Heart Stream sword techniques is also the Unconscious Sword.
And Aoto too doesn’t like to start with the traditional Middle Stance, instead preferring to use the Kasumi Stance to deliver the move.
Aoto pondered for a moment, then forcefully raised his bamboo sword, positioning it before him in the Kasumi Stance.
The onlookers familiar with the two’s sword styles and signature moves became excited—these two were about to clash with their ultimate moves!
They all craned their necks, eager to fully capture the spectacular show unfolding before them.
However... not everyone expressed interest or excitement about this "ultimate move clash."
Zhouzhu, Kondo, Inoue, Nagakura, and Hijikata, who didn’t meet up with a girl today but came to the Sword Dojo to practice, all watched Toshisuke intently with solemn expressions.
Aoto, who was sparring with Toshisuke, did the same.
Aoto squinted his eyes, casting a contemplative gaze through his mask toward Toshisuke.
I wanted to say something clever, but couldn’t come up with anything, so let’s just ask for votes.
Asking for monthly votes! Asking for recommendation votes! (leopard head crying in pain.jpg)
