“It’s reported that the Eiffel Star Field Observatory has recently observed an abnormal energy shock wave in a large area of the Star Field between the Sapphire Star Field and the Eka R27 Star Field. According to the latest observation results given by the observatory, the strength of this energy shock wave clearly far exceeds the energy fluctuations in normal cosmic space. The range is extremely vast, and it’s different from any energy wave observed in the past...”
On the other side more than ten meters away from her, a boy who was a few years older than her was looking down at the virtual screen released by her personal terminal in front of her. A video was playing on the virtual screen. Because it was far away, she could not see it clearly, but her voice could be heard clearly.
“Sapphire Star Field and Eka R27 Star Field?” Elvy frowned slightly and felt that these two terms seemed to be familiar.
It was one thing for the Sapphire Star Field to be famous outside the Orion Arm, but it was obvious that she was not familiar with that Eka R27 Star Field. Then, where did she hear this term?
Although Elvy’s brain was not as abnormal as Chu Nan’s, she was still a super genius who could be specially recruited by Star Cloud Academy. She searched her mind and quickly found this term in her memories.
He had actually heard it from Chu Nan.
When she thought of Chu Nan, Elvy quickly recalled why she was familiar with this Eka R27 Star Field. This was because in his contact with her and Chu Xiaoxi before he left the Earth Federation, he had once mentioned that he wanted to go near the Eka R27 Star Field and cooperate with the Noctem Chamber of Commerce to investigate something.
“Could it be that this high-intensity energy shock wave is related to Chu Nan?”
Elvy shook her head and felt that this thought forcefully connected Chu Nan. However, when she thought of him, she could not help but be tempted.
After hesitating for a moment, she walked to the boy’s side and whispered, “Hello, student, can I take a look?”
The boy was originally a little dissatisfied that he had been interrupted from reading the latest information, but when he looked up and saw that it was Elvy, he immediately smiled.
“Oh, Miss Elvy, are you also interested in this?” He pointed at the virtual screen.
“Yes, can you let me read this news report carefully?” Elvy revealed a warm smile and nodded.
In front of people she was not familiar with, she could always maintain her calm and elegance as a young lady. Coupled with her beautiful appearance and outstanding figure, not to mention being extremely popular in the Life Science Academy, she was actually extremely popular in the entire Star Cloud Academy.
Now that she was smiling like this, it was naturally extremely lethal to this boy.
The boy hurriedly adjusted his personal terminal and enlarged the virtual screen before turning to Elvy.
Elvy carefully read the news report and watched the video from beginning to end again. She discovered that there was not much useful information.
However, through this news, she was basically certain that this incident should not be related to Chu Nan.
This was because the news said that the strength of the abnormal energy shock wave that was discovered was shocking. The radiation area actually exceeded 40 light-years and affected three star systems. Among them, one of the star systems’ planets had even suffered major damage, causing the gravity effect of that planet to change and the orbit to change. In the end, it might affect the entire star system to a certain extent.
Although Chu Nan was very strong now, he was only a martial artist in the end. Even if two powerful Star-Grade Martial Artists fought, it was impossible for it to produce such a terrifying energy fluctuation effect. This had clearly far exceeded the limit that humans could deal with, so it naturally had nothing to do with him.
“Thank you.”
As she walked, she opened her personal terminal and first logged into the Milky Way Network to read the relevant reports of this news. Although she obtained more detailed information, she did not obtain the question she was concerned about.
Unfortunately, this communication request sank into the sea and was not picked up.
After failing a few times, Elvy sent a message to Chu Xiaoxi.
Chu Xiaoxi quickly picked up.
“Heh, Elvy, has my brother contacted you these few days?” As soon as the call was picked up, Chu Xiaoxi asked before she could.
Elvy was stunned, “What? You can’t contact him either?”
“Huh?” Chu Xiaoxi was also stunned, “You can’t get through either?”
“Yes.” Elvy nodded, “I haven’t contacted him for half a month.”
On the virtual screen, Chu Xiaoxi frowned, “It’s been so long since he contacted me. It’s really strange. Why has he been so mysterious recently? It’s fine if you don’t say why he went, but now that he’s gone and even turned off his communication, doesn’t he know that we’ll be worried?”
“He signed a confidentiality agreement with the Noctem Chamber of Commerce. Of course, I can’t say anything.” Elvy shook her head. She did not have any opinions in this aspect, but it was a little vexed that she could not contact Chu Nan, “Perhaps he’s doing research with the Noctem Chamber of Commerce these few days and it’s not convenient for him to contact the outside world.”
“Then he should at least let us know that he’s still fine...” Chu Xiaoxi pouted and complained. Suddenly, her expression changed, “Heh, Elvy, what do you think about us directly asking the Noctem Chamber of Commerce?”
“Hmm?” Elvy was stunned, “Ask the Noctem Chamber of Commerce directly? How?”
“Just ask directly. Doesn’t the Noctem Chamber of Commerce have a branch in the Earth Federation? Let’s go ask them directly and let them tell us what my brother is doing. What do you think?”
Elvy wanted to shake her head and say that it was hard to say. Since the Noctem Chamber of Commerce and Chu Nan had signed a confidentiality agreement, it was obvious that they would not easily reveal specific information to the outside world. What could the two of them ask rashly?
However, after glancing at Chu Xiaoxi, she nodded.
“Hmm... it’s good to ask...”
“Then let’s go quickly!” Chu Xiaoxi immediately became excited, “Wait, I’ll come find you immediately.”
Seeing the virtual screen in front of her return to darkness and Chu Xiaoxi’s figure disappear, Elvy was stunned for a moment before shaking her head with a bitter smile.
It had only been half a month since they contacted each other. Why was he so nervous?
Before this, Chu Nan had often disappeared for a few months or even more than half a year without contact. Wasn’t he safe in the end?
This guy had much more experience than many people had imagined. Wasn’t it a little too much to worry about him?
