Fang Xiu looked at the Luo Sheng before him.
He smiled faintly. "Such a fine offering can’t be wasted."
"Wh-what are you talking about?"
By now, Luo Sheng had fully adapted to speaking.
"It’s nothing."
Fang Xiu chuckled and shook his head, then looked over at Kajimi nearby. "Kajimi, keep an eye on him. Don’t let this guy escape, and don’t let the others in!"
"Don’t worry, Master!"
Kajimi nodded with a smile.
With her power, Yuan Heng and his two companions wouldn’t be able to get in.
And as for this Fake Spirit before them, though it was a bit strange, it was still just a Demon Beast.
Escaping from her grasp wouldn’t be so easy.
"I will now Sacrifice this Fake Spirit before me to the Bright God!"
Fang Xiu let out a low shout and activated his Skill: Sacrifice.
In an instant, a brilliant light enveloped the Fake Spirit.

Right now, Fang Xiu could sense that Kajimi was terrified of this light.
Thankfully, the light lasted only a moment before vanishing.
Along with it disappeared Kajimi’s fear and "Luo Sheng."

Fang Xiu stared at the small box on the ground before him.
Compared to the gifts from the other Deities, this was incredibly small.
"Kajimi, are you okay?"
Fang Xiu asked, looking over at Kajimi.
Kajimi shook her head. "I’m fine. That light wasn’t aimed at me, I was just a little affected. I didn’t expect the Bright God’s light to be so powerful."
"It’s just especially suppressive against beings like you."
Fang Xiu shook his head.
Kajimi was a Succubus, a being who inherently belonged to the darkness.
It was only natural for her to fear the light of the Bright God.
"Yes, Master, I’m alright. Go on, see what it is. I’ve heard the Bright God is stingy, and from the looks of it, it’s true!"
Kajimi looked at the small box.
She was also a bit curious.
"You’ve heard that too?"
Fang Xiu was a little curious.
’She’d heard about this even before she was sealed?’
"Mhm, back then, in the Succubus Race, I heard it from my elders."
Kajimi nodded slightly.
Then she paused for a moment. "Yes, I think that’s right!"

"I sensed the presence of the Demon Race beside you. This Light of Purification, though usable only once, is sufficient to purify that demon. I bestow it upon you."
Just as Fang Xiu shut the box,
a condescending and mocking voice echoed out.
"Damn it!"
Fang Xiu cursed under his breath.
He didn’t know if the Bright God was ignorant or if this was intentional.
He actually sent me the Light of Purification.
Fang Xiu felt the latter was far more likely.
"Kajimi, how are you doing?"
Seeing Kajimi’s face turn deathly pale in an instant, Fang Xiu rushed over to her.
"That despicable Bright God!"
Kajimi’s voice was weak.
She looked at Fang Xiu and shook her head. "I’m alright. Thankfully, you closed it quickly, Master. Otherwise, I might have really been purified, and I wouldn’t be able to follow you anymore."
"This is all my fault."
At that moment, Fang Xiu’s heart was filled with self-reproach.
He never expected the Bright God to just send the Light of Purification directly.
"Don’t blame yourself, Master. That Bright God is just too treacherous!"
Kajimi shook her head.
Of course, this couldn’t be blamed on Fang Xiu.

He sent down a beam of the Light of Purification instead.
If Fang Xiu hadn’t reacted quickly enough, he would have lost Kajimi.
Fang Xiu didn’t believe for a second that the Bright God, upon sensing Kajimi’s presence, was unaware of her contractual bond with him.
If he couldn’t even sense that, then he wasn’t worthy of being called a god.
But he had clearly sensed it and still deliberately sent down the Light of Purification.
