Indescribable... Wondrous beyond imagination. Unfathomably invigorating!
'When was it?' Wei Wuyin, hand steadily on his hilt as he slowly drew it out of its scabbard, thought with a heart of interest and genuine wonder. As if responding to his question, his Star Cores pulsed with the hymn of stars and the song of the Mortal Dao-extraordinarily active signs of Mortal Intent!
Swirling within Wei Wuyin's thoughts was his journey across the Mortal Realms, starting from the Foundation Establishment Realm, leaping to the most chaotic and defining periods of his life-the Qi Condensation Realm, and finally landing upon the grandest stage of the Mortal Dao where gazing upon the stars and wielding the power of celestial phenomenon-the Astral Core Realm.
'When was it that I let it all out? That I let all of our power, truly all of it, loose?' Wei Wuyin's grey scales began to recede naturally as his skin was exposed bit by bit, regressing from his draconic-charged state without any decrease in his physical presence or strength. In fact, the aura of his draconic pressure intensified many-fold.
Gorgeous clear light swirled around his body with indomitable majesty, generating gentle wind within the Dark Void and lifting his hair lightly, causing his robes to flutter as if dancing within the void, and instilling a type of unprecedented dignity and an air of perfection as the chaos mana and void around his feet hugged against it, giving it the most solid foundation to stand upon, without an ounce of his exertion of will.
It clicked. Wei Wuyin finally remembered when it was.
Decades ago, Wei Wuyin had just learned of Mei Mei's plight shortly after acquiring his Bloodline of Sin's status. He traversed the lands and arrived at a city called Ash Dragon City. There, he met a Mortal God by the name of Gu Futu of the Earthly Titan Sect. Without understanding his cultivation's limits, he unleashed all of his strength all at once, pushing his power to its limits and exhausting as much as he could within a single attack, spending thirty percent of his total qi then.
To others, it might be an insignificant moment, not worthy of being considered. But since then, Wei Wuyin's steps had been steady and consistent, rising so far, so fast, and gathering other forms of strength that he had never needed to exert his full power again.
Not when he fought the masked individual in the Stellar Nest, who was likely Tian Yinwu; not when he clashed with an army of 10,000 Spirits of War; not when he swung his saber at The World; not when he faced San Yongli's empowered state.
Due to various reasons, each circumstance prohibited or simply fizzled out before such a situation could ever unfold. Furthermore, most conflicts of his were handled by virtue of his reputation, Alchemic Dao, or commanded strength such as the Nexus War Flag or his Alchemic Knight. As for his opponents of his generation?
None were able to drive him to such an extent. Not once. To think it was all those years ago, when he was only a comparably tiny existence within the Qi Condensation Realm trying to survive in this vast world, that he had unleashed everything without restraint.
'So this was how it felt? This is an Astral Idol's evocation?'
While Wei Wuyin marveled and relished the rising strength of four beyond apex Astral Cores, an unparalleled Astral Physique at the absolute pinnacle, and a Defiant-sized Solar Star overwhelmingly flowing energies, profoundly coalescing under Mortal Intent's gentle hand to evoke his Astral Idol, Sage Springfield's perpetual smile had long since vanished and his hand gripped his wooden glaive, a Heavenly Treasure known as the Blackwood Soulpiercer, with mounting tension within his soul.
He felt a sensation of deadly crisis swarm his consciousness without mercy as his eyes focused on the young man of unequaled presence and unmatched handsomeness. As an Enlightened Sage that had traversed the path of 'peak' cultivation, he had strove to establish an extraordinary Astral Physique, World-Bound Star Domain, and Star Core, gathering all of their strengths within to evoke an Astral Idol, the proof of reaching the pinnacle of your cultivation level as a Mortal.
He had reached that point before, becoming unrivaled among his peers, and assailed into the Mystic Ascendant Realm with unstoppable momentum, directly entering the Mystic Dao with a 9th Rune Ascension. So the feeling he felt was familiar yet equally as unfamiliar.
Astral Idol!
What was an Astral Idol? Those uneducated or ignorant might carelessly say that it's the evolved version of a Soul Idol, and while that had some truths, it was far beyond anything so simple as that. It was the amalgamation of peak Mortal Cultivation, the result of gathering the peak of the mind, body, and essence! It didn't just amplify one's physical energy, mental energy, or starforce by a set amount, but elevated the entirety of one's cultivation base!
Whether it was Intent, Soul Energy, or Worldly Pressure! EVERYTHING WAS IMPROVED!
Moreover, there was no gargantuan manifestation that graced the sky and surpassed the masses. All of its effects were centered on a single entity-you.
This aberrant hybrid cultivator...
Within Sage Springfield's eyes, Wei Wuyin seemed entirely unchanged except the intensity of his presence had been amplified to a zenith degree. But within his Spiritual Sense and Soul Perception, he saw the faint celestial image of Little Defiant hovering behind him, he saw the seven belts and two halos of various colors circulating his majestic figure, generating clear light continuously.
While the masses couldn't see Little Defiant, which also had seven rotating and animated belts and two spinning halos above and below, Sage Springfield could see and even grasp its enormity. In his eyes, Wei Wuyin was carrying an entire galaxy behind him! A silver galaxy in the form of a Solar Star!
How could his smile remain? HOW COULD HE POSSIBLY FEEL CALM?!
'No! Act-WITH NO FEAR!' Sage Springfield recited a phrase of his lifetime. The phrase that got him through every struggle thus far. He had cultivated thus far and long since possessed the power to destroy galaxies if left unchecked. Moreover, he was confident in escaping with his life. As for abandoning his Soul-Bound Treasure? Never. And if he obtained the secrets of this person's body, he felt as if becoming a Resonant Soul Realm cultivator would be just on the horizon. How could he flee easily?
Subtly, both Wei Wuyin and Sage Springfield were influenced by two great daos. They represented the wills of two different entities, one Mortal and one Mystic-there was no escape. The two cultivators, for reasons, had long since decided that the other must die.
Wei Wuyin didn't expect his changes upon evoking his Astral Idol to be this subtle or focused entirely upon his Astral Physique. It was almost as if HE was the Astral Idol, an Idol of the Mortal Path.
"Ah!"
Just like that, the profundities of the Mortal Dao opened as his path of cultivating as a Celestial Entity from a mortal to a world was expanded in full, all its mysteries and all of its depths were realized and excavated upon that single epiphany. The flow of clear light surged like a tempest, sending his clothes fluttering faster and granting him the grace of a Mortal Immortal.
"I see now," Wei Wuyin softly remarked.
But his enlightened state was interrupted by a blackened blade jetting towards him with an unsettling speed, empowered by the Minor Wood Law and vibrant Mystic Power. Even another Sage would have trouble blocking this strike!
Wei Wuyin's body, empowered by his Astral Idol of four Astral Souls, reacted in an instant as he lifted his leg and kicked at the shaft, his saber still only an inch out of its scabbard.
BOOM!
His entire body was pushed back by three miles. His legs dragged across space and chaos mana as it naturally solidified to grant him footing, cutting into all three dimensions and creating a deep and chaotic spatial trench. He was uninjured. Despite his True Dragon Transformation had ended, he was far stronger physically in this state than ever before. In fact, the mystic qualities of his bloodline seemed to recede due to its current inferiority, even if he transformed, he would turn weaker!
The wooden glaive returned to Sage Springfield at the speed of light as his blue eyes tainted with a silvery solar radiance from simply viewing Little Defiant with his Soul Perception began to transform into a vibrant verdant green. The aura of the Minor Wood Law was pushed to its extreme while his cultivation base unfurled, overwhelming any effects on his spirit and soul.
The two exchange a gaze from millions of miles apart. A single exchange and they understood that their opponent was not an individual they could hold back against!
Domain of Mysticism! Worldly Domain! The two unleashed their respective domains within an instant!
Sage Springfield's Domain of Mysticism unraveled with an unfathomable air, engulfing the area as runes of the Ways of Mysticism revealed themselves to the world for him to wield.
It was 1.08 million meters! The region was dominated by his Mystic Intent, and all things within the Mystic Dao were under his unrestrained control. Within this region, for this period of time, he was the Mystic Dao!
Mystic light flowed visibly without the area and danced beautifully to all who could see, creating an unforgettably alluring scene of power and mysticism melded flawlessly together. In this area, his True Soul was the conductor. With a breath, all the ambient energies and chaos mana converted into mystic-grade.
Wei Wuyin's clear light expanded. It grew and grew, unfurled from him until it reached 1.08 million meters. Then, 1.8 million meters. Then, 18 million meters. Then, 180 million meters! It kept expanding, clashing with the Domain of Mysticism within an instant, yet it didn't breach or violate its region of control, simply moved around it!
But it didn't stop even as it reached 1.08 trillion meters! 1.08 quadrillion meters! It kept going and going and going and GOING!!!
Sage Springfield's eyes widened uncontrollably. What type of Worldly Domain was this?! HOW WAS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?!
Wei Wuyin's Worldly Domain kept expanding until it engulfed the entirety of the Sky Heart Galaxy and beyond! It just kept going in every direction without end! WITHOUT END!
Every iota of mana, energy, and essence within this region under the Mortal Dao, all of that within this region of Void-Blank Space and the Sky Heart Galaxy, was firmly pressed under his domain of control. Within this area, this incomparably large area, he was the Mortal Dao.
SHIIING!
Wei Wuyin then slowly withdrew his saber from its scabbard in its entirety! As he did, every ounce of energy and essence that was non-essential within his domain, every elemental energy, every expelled mental energy, every ounce of fixed spatial energy, chaotic spatial energy, and stable spatial energy, far surpassing quintillions of meters, exceeding even that, was converted into saber energy and a sharp, clear light of the end was born everywhere, each speck was a replica of Wei Wuyin's saber, of King's image.
And every one of their edges was pointed at a single entity! Within an instant, as if time itself was bypassed, all of that energy traversed the void, and infused within Wei Wuyin's saber. The saber trembled.
Sage Springfield's pupils violently constricted!
Erdiul's Note: GG lmao. This mf WW a bit too OP. I love it though, it's deserved after going through literal hell as a mortal so many times.
