Chapter 2900 Listen’s Request!
“Long ago, the Faith Tree wasn’t like this. It’s the simplest manifestation of the Faith Creation Tree’s bloodline. If the Faith Creation Tree’s bloodline is awakened, the faith of all targets in the surroundings will be gathered even if it doesn’t evolve into a true Faith Creation Tree.
“It only needs to become a Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree. The gathered faith won’t be absorbed by the Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree. It can be extracted and used at will. It will be difficult for any other faction, even Fortune Treasure Palace, to use their resources to transform the Faith Tree into the Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree.
“But Young Master, you can do it if you want. If you absorb faith power through the Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree, the distribution of faith power won’t become skewed even if someone has more territory.”
Although Kani was stuck in North of the Lonely River to lead the King Blood Jackals, she did have experience and knowledge! Yet, she had never heard of the Faith Creation Tree and Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree.
Apparently, the Faith Tree was the simplest form of a lifeform’s bloodline. Yet, it was able to take control of a divine kingdom. This proved the fearsomeness of that bloodline!
Kani carefully took note of all the knowledge she learned while she was by Lin Yuan’s side. This knowledge would help her to grow.
Kani did not have many thoughts when she first joined Lin Yuan. But now, she fully understood the pressure that came with being by his side.
Kani always wanted to prove herself to Lin Yuan. Liu Chen, and Liu Yao. They were much stronger than her, and she was unable to stand out in comparison to them.
Kani was terrified that she would eventually be eliminated, and this anxiousness motivated her to grow as quickly as possible.
Lin Yuan had seen the Faith Tree on display on the ninth floor of Fortune Treasure Palace. Normally, something of the Faith Tree’s level did not deserve to be displayed there. In Fortune Treasure Palace, precious items were displayed from the fourth floor and up.
The Faith Tree had been displayed on the ninth floor of Fortune Treasure Palace because its bloodline was much stronger than that of other Faith Trees.
This Faith Tree was very suitable to be used to evolve one’s bloodline.
As compared to other Faith Trees, this Faith Tree stood a higher chance of transforming when given the same amount and quality of resources.
Lin Yuan would nurture this Faith Tree personally. The information that Spring provided him solved an extremely important issue pertaining to Sky City’s development. It eliminated the tumor that might have formed in the future.
Winter added, “The Four Seasons Mountain is going to transform into a faerie soon. Once it transforms, it will be an intermediate faerie at the very least. The chances of it transforming into a higher faerie might be even higher than the chances of it transforming into an intermediate faerie!
“A natural-born higher faerie is able to transform into a faerie king. The transformed Faith Tree can be planted on Four Seasons Mountain. With Four Seasons Mountain nourishing the Faith Tree, not only will its bloodline transform, but its range of effects will increase as well.”
Winter was not at all worried that Lin Yuan would fail to activate the Faith Tree’s bloodline and enable it to transform into the Ten Thousand Source Faith Tree. He believed that there was nothing that Lin Yuan who possessed the Body of All Spirits could not do.
Wen Yu and Liu Jie were unaware of this conversation among Lin Yuan, Kani, Spring, and Winter.
When Wen Yu saw that Lin Yuan had yet to reply to her message, she was unsurprised because she knew that this matter was not easy to address. If it was, she and Liu Jie would have already handled it. There would have been no need to seek Lin Yuan’s help and bother him with this.
At this moment, Wen Yu turned to Liu Jie and asked, “Big Brother Liu, do you think we should wait until Young Master returns so we can tell him about this?”
Liu Jie shook his head resolutely and said, “Wen Yu, this is the biggest issue Sky City is currently facing. Although this matter will worry Lin Yuan, he absolutely needs to know! If it isn’t handled well it will become worse. Won’t that trouble him even more?
“The sooner he learns of the issue, the higher the chance of him circumventing unnecessary problems. Even if it isn’t resolved perfectly, he will at least be able to come up with mitigation strategies.”
Su Yiren and Luo Lan were the first ones to notice this issue. Upon discovering this, they did not cheer their good luck and wealth. Rather, they did their best to help the others to increase their strength.
Once one reached the Divine Kingdom level, faith power became even more important than spirit qi.
Given the speed at which the faith country was growing, Luo Lan and Su Yiren would be able to lap far ahead of the rest within a year if they did not bring this up to Wen Yu. Under Lin Yuan’s leadership, both Su Yiren and Luo Lan saw Sky City as their family.
Hence, when Su Yiren and Luo Lan encountered this matter, they did not focus on their own profits. Rather, they cared more about what the other members of Sky City would think of them once they found out.
It was because of this matter that Wen Yu and Liu Jie fully acknowledged Su Yiren and Luo Lan. It was not their abilities, but their character that Su Yiren and Liu Jie acknowledged.
Sky City had no lack of capable members. Even the members who were able to become part of Sky City’s reserve team were true talents. Apart from power, they had other outstanding capabilities as well.
But if their character was not assured, they could only be used as tools.
If Su Yiren and Luo Lan had not told Wen Yu about this matter, Wen Yu would not have waited until they arrived to tell Lin Yuan about this matter.
While Wen Yu was ruminating, Lin Yuan replied, “Wen Yu, I can handle this issue. You don’t need to worry. I will distribute the faith power equally so just let Su Yiren and Luo Lan know.”
Lin Yuan was not the type to push away responsibility, especially when he was part of an enormous faction.
This current situation was largely linked to Lin Yuan’s arrangement. He told Wen Yu and Liu Jie to inform Su Yiren and Luo Lan before he returned because he was worried they would become accustomed to reaping such earnings and oppose his plans.
When Wen Yu saw Lin Yuan’s message, she hurriedly replied, “Young Master, I’m not the one who discovered this situation. Su Yiren and Luo Lan were the ones who told me. Since you have a way to solve it, they will also be able to set their worries at ease and continue developing the faith country. I have already sent word to them, and they should be arriving very soon!”
Once Wen Yu was done with this matter, there was nothing else she needed to report to Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan was out traveling. There was no need to add to his burdens when she and the Moon Empress could make the decisions themselves!
Listen arrived at the meeting room sooner than Luo Lan and Su Yiren did. He had been seeking the chance to speak with Lin Yuan. Now, this chance was here!
It was very challenging for Su Yiren and Luo Lan to develop the faith country. But it was not easy for Listen to build the trade network from scratch either.
Listen was very glad that Gu Lang was willing to join the trading team that consisted of him and Endless Summer.
Su Yiren and Luo Lan’s work could not be rushed, but Listen’s job needed to be completed as quickly as possible. This was especially so now as it was the peak of Sky City’s developmental stage.
Listen realized that the speed at which he was building the trade network did not match the speed at which the faith country was growing.
On the surface, it seemed as though there was nothing happening to the faith country. But if one was in the faith country, one would see that there were conflicts and problems taking place every second.
Luckily, the demon insects managed the faith country strictly. Otherwise, it would have crumbled long ago!
Nonetheless, the conflicts significantly impacted Listen’s building of the trading system.
As such, Listen could not blame Luo Lan and Su Yiren—they did not have a solution either.
The people in the faith country came from different species, and their bloodlines gave them different traits and temperaments.
Many of them kept their fangs hidden at first. They only revealed them slowly as time went on. Hence, it required a lot of time to remove these issues, and what Listen lacked the most was time.
Listen was aware of faith power. He was now a Divine Kingdom expert and needed to complete the trading system as soon as possible in order to increase his divine kingdom’s production of faith power.
Wen Yu had reported everything she needed to report to Lin Yuan. When she saw that Listen was here, she gave him the chance to speak with Lin Yuan.
Listen did not like to beat around the bush, especially when he was speaking to Lin Yuan. If he did not have such a personality, he would never have been able to complete the Startling Lines Continent’s trading system in as short of a period of time as he had. He also would not have been able to turn Thick Soil City into the center of the Startling Lines Continent and enable all resources to pass through it. He had also managed to rebuild the main world’s entire trading system within five to six years.
“Young Master, the faith country is very stable now. The small issues won’t affect the faith country’s stability, but it is a significant problem for me. I hope that you will be able to instruct all the King Blood Jackals to listen to me and send me 3 billion demon insects I can control. This will increase my speed of development by at least 50%, and I’ll be able to finish three days worth of work in two days.”
Lin Yuan liked Listen’s personality. He was always direct with what he needed. Whenever his requests were met, he always brought back compensation and benefits. Lin Yuan liked this method of communication.
Lin Yuan did not respond to Listen immediately. Instead, he asked, “Wen Yu, are there any plans for the King Blood Jackals now?”
Before Lin Yuan left, he had not made any arrangements for the King Blood Jackals. But after all the time that had passed, the likelihood was high that Wen Yu and the Moon Empress had made arrangements for them.
If arrangements had been made for the King Blood Jackals, Lin Yuan could not redirect them just because of what Listen said. This would satisfy Listen’s request but would affect others.
When Lin Yuan posed a question to Wen Yu after speaking to Listen, she was silent for a moment before she said, “The King Blood Jackals are currently managing their own dependent species, which have almost all assimilated into the faith country and become a part of it.
“There aren’t any plans for them now. When building the faith country, equality must be ensured. This will prevent incidents from breaking out!
“I plan to assimilate the King Blood Jackals into the faith country as well. They are powerful and every member can become a leader of one of the districts. The demon insects are only able to maintain the safety of the faith country. They can’t manage the faith country!”
Lin Yuan turned to look at Kani when he saw Wen Yu’s message. There was nothing special about the King Blood Jackals. As the faith country grew, it would take in more species that were even more powerful than the King Blood Jackals.
The King Blood Jackals were not suited to be managers. The best option for them was to assimilate into the faith country.
Kani was slightly upset when she saw the message that appeared on the Fantasy Crystal Birth Stone Flower but did not express it.
After learning of Lin Yuan’s power and resources, she had been anticipating the arrival of such a day.
Regardless of whether the King Blood Jackals were suited to manage the territory, Kani’s personal reasons prevented her from being happy when the King Blood Jackals were given more responsibilities. However, she could not afford to anger Lin Yuan!
“Young Master, I agree with your decision. The King Blood Jackals will support you too!”
Lin Yuan replied to Listen, “If that’s the case, the demon insects will become your assistants. They will help you to set up the trading system! Go and inform Keira of your request and tell her that the instructions come from me. Ten days later, she will prepare 3 billion demon insect warriors for you.”
When Listen heard that Lin Yuan had agreed to his request, a relieved smile appeared on his face.
Listen always hated inefficiency. Now that Lin Yuan agreed to his request, his efficiency would rise!
“Young Master, I have another matter. I think Gu Lang is more talented than me when it comes to trading and management. Many of his plans and designs are very good. He also wants to bring his ideas to life. The business network and system in the faith country needs to be adjusted and expanded continuously. I would like to recommend Gu Lang to be the one to build the system while I execute the channels of the network.”
Wen Yu and Liu Jie both looked shocked when they saw the message Listen sent Lin Yuan.
Listen’s words essentially elevated Gu Lang to an even higher position than his own.
