2763 Return of Ownership of the Deep Harbor! Back then, Genius had the intelligence of a child that was around 14 to 15 years old.
At the time, Lin Yuan was responsible for bringing up Chu Ci. Sending Chu Ci to school and nurturing her feys did not come at a small cost.
The Lin Yuan of then had been riddled with illnesses. He had neither awakened Morbius nor discovered that he had a unique physique. He could only trim the fat when it came to his clothing, food, and comforts of living.
It was usually Auntie Zhang who brought over red braised meat when she came to visit Lin Yuan.
Recently, Genius had been remaining in the Spirit Lock spatial zone, and its diet consisted of the Soldier Ration Radish.
If Genius did not mention it again today, Lin Yuan might have forgotten that it was a glutton in its own right. They shared the same tastes in food as well!
Lin Yuan reached out and patted Genius’ small head. Genius closed its eyes as it enjoyed the experience of being showered in Lin Yuan’s affection. It turned its head and gently nudged Lin Yuan’s hand before quickly lifting its head to signal that it wanted its chin scratched.
When Wen Yu saw this, she could not help but run her hand down Genius’ back.
Genius was very close with Wen Yu. In truth, Genius had spent even more time with Wen Yu than it did with Chu Ci. Hence, they had a deeper relationship.
“Genius, not only will Young Master prepare a meal for you, but so will I! Besides red braised meat, you will also love the ribs and spicy chicken! I’ll also spoon out a bowl of fish chowder for you.”
When Genius heard that, it left Lin Yuan’s embrace and snuggled into Wen Yu’s arms before the two of them began playing.
For the first time in a long while, Lin Yuan felt the rowdy joy that came with having his feys by his side.
Lin Yuan lifted his hand and summoned Chimey. After being summoned, Chimey spotted Genius playing with Wen Yu and hurriedly landed on Lin Yuan’s shoulder. Its small head nudged Lin Yuan’s face before it let out a few pleasant chirps.
Chimey was uninterested in the smell of red braised meat that was drifting through the air.
Lin Yuan smiled and said, “Chimey, since you see the past as miserable and your present as happy, I will get some Normal Usnea for you so you can reminisce the taste!”
Sunlight streamed through the windows into the Return from Faraway Mansion, temporarily keeping the space basked in light.
Aside from the fact that the feys in the mansion had all evolved their grades, this scene was no different from a few years ago. The Five Fortune Ranchu Spirit-Siphon Goldfish in the sandalwood longevity fish tank were the best witnesses to this.
Genius circulated its spiritual energy, and the first pile of information began flying around in an orderly manner.
In less than ten minutes, the rain of paper in the room stopped. After organizing the information, one of the cat tails turned into a strip of light and linked Genius to Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan received all the information that Genius had organized. Lin Yuan immediately gained an understanding of the situation in various areas of the main world.
This was not the first time that Wen Yu was seeing Genius use Connected Tails. Genius had also used Connected Tails to transfer most of Wen Yu’s perspectives and knowledge to her.
It could be said that Wen Yu had around the same amount of knowledge as Lin Yuan.
But it went without saying that Lin Yuan had more knowledge than Wen Yu. This was because his knowledge included his own secrets and secret weapons.
Once Genius was done looking through all the information that was present, Wen Yu immediately took out a new set, and Genius repeated its previous actions.
It would take at least two hours for Liu Jie to finish cooking. There were many dishes that needed to be stewed for some time in order to maximize their flavor.
In the time that Liu Jie spent cooking, Lin Yuan finished going through all the information on the events that had taken place in the main world in the past three years!
This included the information on the Green Continent Federation. Lin Yuan told Wen Yu seriously, “The Startling Lines Continent’s current position is extremely important. It has become the hub of the entire main world. It is also the gateway to the Radiance Federation.”
Wen Yu nodded seriously. She had been wanting to bring up this matter to Lin Yuan. This was the most important matter at hand.
Due to the rise in importance in the Startling Lines Continent’s position, the harbor Lin Yuan had built outside of the Great Lush Federation became even more critical.
This was especially so because the entire main world was about to begin sea trading.
The harbor had become the best channel for other federations to interact with the Startling Lines Continent.
Lin Yuan had provided all the resources for the construction of the harbor. The Great Lush Federation was only managing it.
However, Jin Qianxun had set his sights on the harbor and had been using it to gain personal benefits.
This matter displeased Luo Lan and Yi Huailong greatly, and they had sought out Wen Yu multiple times.
Yi Huailong had been performing well. After he became the ruler of the Divine Wood Federation, he did his best to develop it.
Yi Huailu had been helping Sky City to concoct potions and could be considered one of its more central members.
As a member of the Astronomical Parliament, Luo Lan was closer to Wen Yu.
Wen Yu had not made her decision immediately after hearing Luo Lan and Yi Huailong’s opinions. Even if Lin Yuan had not brought this matter up, Wen Yu was already intending to ask him about it after this meal.
There was no way that the Great Lush Federation could be allowed to have sole ownership of the harbor.
Lin Yuan had invested more resources into the harbor than the entire Great Lush Federation.
If the Great Lush Federation was allowed to take sole control of the harbor and obtained three years’ worth of profits from the harbor, the Great Lush Federation’s position in the main world and foundational resources would be above that of the Divine Wood and Iron Hammer Federations.
If the three federations were going to develop simultaneously in the Startling Lines Continent, they had to stand on equal footing. Once the balance was disrupted, the Startling Lines Continent’s current structure would be affected. Lin Yuan would not permit such destabilizing factors to appear in the Startling Lines Continent.
Since such thoughts had formed in Jin Qianxun’s mind, it meant that his dishonesty needed to be reined in.
“Wen Yu, when you give out instructions for this matter, inform Jin Qianxun personally. Tell Jin Qianxun about the reasons and repercussions. Then, tell Jin Qianxun to provide me with an explanation. If something similar happens again in the future, you can select a suitable secret aristocratic family from the Great Lush Federation to replace Jin Qianxun.”
When Wen Yu heard that, she knew that Lin Yuan was seething. He had already given the Great Lush Federation the best space to develop. Yet, Jin Qianxun had not been satisfied.
Although he would not punish the entire Great Lush Federation, he would definitely penalize Jin Qianxun.
They could only hope that Jin Qianxun could learn his lesson and stop foolishly trying to claim profits that did not belong to him!
“Young Master, I’ll arrange everything after dinner. Apart from that, I’d like to seek your opinion on another matter. Once Chef Supreme fulfills the Radiance Federation’s requirements and distributes the Soldier Ration Radishes, coupled with your supply, other federations won’t have to worry about food shortages. Their only obligation would be to provide resources in exchange for the Soldier Ration Radishes.
However, some federations haven’t engaged in this trade, and the Green Continent Federation is one of them. They are also grappling with food scarcity. Do you think it’s advisable to dispatch a portion of Soldier Ration Radishes to assist them?”
Lin Yuan had just replied to Peace through the Thoughts Letter Paper. He knew that Peace would encounter significant issues after changing Green Continent City to Green Continent Federation. But he had not expected the problem to be so serious. The citizens could not even keep their stomachs full!
Lin Yuan was always aware that the environment in the Broiling Rock Continent was harsh.
Peace was a native of the Broiling Rock Continent and had never received any education. She survived on her own abilities.
It was true that Peace had changed the name of Green Continent City to Green Continent Federation because she wanted to become a member of the elite. But she also hoped to use her own strength to protect the citizens of the Green Continent Federation. Her desire to do so only grew stronger after seeing how powerful the other federations were.
Although Peace would not be going with him to the Sky Beyond the Clouds, Lin Yuan would still step in to help if he knew that she was encountering issues. After all, the citizens of the Green Continent Federation were innocent.
“Wen Yu, send these two Soldier Ration Radishes over. Also, send an experienced teacher to teach Peace the ways of the world, as well as the knowledge that a leader needs to have!
“Have a chat with Peace again three years later to see if her thoughts have changed. If she is still focused on being the Green Continent Federation’s leader, then she shall compete fairly with the other federations.”
Wen Yu pursed her lips. She knew that Lin Yuan was being very generous with Lin Yuan. This was how he was with everyone.
Since Lin Yuan hadn’t provided an alternative, it implied his awareness that, despite three years of education, Peace would persist in making such decisions, transforming from an uninformed ruler into one possessing knowledge.
Currently basking in the bliss of ignorance, Peace would soon confront the harsh realities of the main world, realizing its complexity far exceeded her initial perceptions.
Within the Green Continent Federation, not a single proficient Creation Master existed. The once esteemed Rain Masters had lost their relevance in the face of water abundance yet retained their high-status positions. This stark reality exposed the superficiality of Peace’s governance.
Su Yiren and Luo Lan had received special nurturing and education from a young age.
Su Yiren was able to manage the Dark and Sand Island Continents because she had outstanding intelligence and enviable talent.
Luo Lan had more talent than the average person and was more excellent than her peers. But she still ran up against obstacles and felt trapped often.
Wen Yu did not have any wicked intentions toward Peace. She only found it a pity when she thought of all the effort Lin Yuan had put into nurturing her.
If the resources that Lin Yuan had spent on Peace had gone to others instead, he would definitely have been able to produce a splendid subordinate.
Lin Yuan could nurture Peace thanks to the support of the Astronomical Parliament. Whenever Lin Yuan depleted his resources, Wen Yu played a crucial role. The thought of the laws Lin Yuan had utilized to secure resources for Peace evoked a pang in Wen Yu’s chest.
Once Lin Yuan completed his preparations and issued instructions, Liu Jie emerged from the kitchen carrying a variety of dishes.
Lin Yuan and Wen Yu hurriedly moved to help him, but he waved them away.
“I am all done. All you need to do is eat! I have never been very good with plating. I secretly learned a few of Zong Ze’s plating skills from him when we last tested our skills against each other. I still need to add a few things after the dishes are served!”
Lin Yuan and Wen Yu looked at each other. Since Liu Jie had already spoken, the two of them dutifully sat at the table and watched as Liu Jie brought out dish after dish.
It was true that Liu Jie’s plating skills used to be weak. His dishes looked homely and rustic, and their appeal came from smell and taste.
But now, every one of his dishes looked intricate. They looked so exquisite that Lin Yuan and Wen Yu could not bear to touch them with their chopsticks!
Aside from plating, Liu Jie had another reason for not wanting Lin Yuan and Wen Yu’s help.
Whenever Wen Yu had a meal, she would always fill up her bowl to prevent herself from having to refill her bowl.
The rice that had just been cooked was fluffy and had the best texture. Compressing it in the bowl would affect their taste and the taste of the meal.
With this thought, Liu Jie decided to carefully fill up Wen Yu’s bowl for her.
... Fan Lou had been walking on eggshells recently as he remained by Kong Huan’s side.
He had come into contact with more bigshots recently than he had over the course of the first half of his life.
Moreover, these bigshots were all unimaginably esteemed. There were even some to whom Kong Huan had to be polite.
Honor Absent Palace was a faction composed of experts of different species. If there was any activity, the powerful species would quickly catch wind of the news.
This matter would undoubtedly lead to enormous repercussions. The appearance of a World Emperor/Divine Kingdom lifeform went against all that was known. This was not to say that something like this had never happened, but whenever it did happen, it indicated that a valuable treasure had emerged.
Aside from feeling nervous and anxious about having to watch his every word in his replies to the bigshots, Fan Lou also felt as though he was holding a secret and was the only one in the know while everyone else was blinded.
Fan Lou had not told anyone besides Kong Huan that an intermediate faerie had appeared in this Class 2 world. All the members of the Sixth Boundary Patrol Team who knew of the matter had been secretly dealt with by Kong Huan.
Kong Huan was always merciless when profits were at stake.
Fan Lou was not worried about being under Kong Huan’s thumb because she still needed his help to collect resources from that Class 2 world!
