2752 The Main World is Targeted! Clawed dragons were already a very strong type of main dragon.
Lin Yuan and Spring had not yet discussed Blackie. Hence, Lin Yuan did not have an estimate of how Blackie’s bloodline would evolve. He had no choice but to wait for Blackie to evolve until he did a comprehensive analysis of it.
Based on the level of Blackie’s bloodline, Lin Yuan would be able to make a general estimate of the Sky Beyond the Clouds’ level of dragon-species fey bloodline. This would be very important in helping Lin Yuan to understand the species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Although Spring had not yet introduced the World Emperor/Divine Kingdom dragon-species bloodline to Lin Yuan in detail, she had mentioned that there were hundreds of thousands of dragon species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds. None of them dropped below the top 100 in the rankings of any of the universes and even cracked the top ten of the South Universe’s ranking once!
After flying a few rounds in the sky, Blackie changed into human form and landed in front of Lin Yuan.
Unlike the Jasmine Lily, Blackie was more comfortable in its human form. It was a fey that preferred to stay in its human form!
However, Lin Yuan needed to ride on Blackie on most occasions. Hence, it usually accompanied him in its original form.
In its human form, Blackie presented some female dragon traits. However, this did not dampen its dashing demeanor.
Blackie’s aura was elegant, and every movement and smile was gentle. But compared to its aura, Blackie’s voice was even more gentle. It was so gentle and soft that one would never be able to tell, based on just its voice, that Blackie was a dragon.
In the main world, dragons were the most amorous and emotional type of fey.
They were very strict and picky when it came to choosing a mate. Even after deciding on a mate with whom they had agreed to start a family, they would not hesitate to abandon that mate if a better option came along!
Almost all male dragon-species feys liked mates with gentle dispositions like the one that Blackie had. The female dragons, who were built like muscular tanks and had the dispositions of female warriors, had little to no prospects.
It could be said that Blackie was the ideal dragon of the main world. This was why Blackie was willing to appear in its original form.
Just like how dragons liked to collect wealth and shiny trinkets, they also liked to put themselves on glorious display!
“Blackie, you have always suffered the most out of all my feys. Not even Genius has had as tough of a time as you!
“I don’t know if this transformation will put you through the same experience as the previous ones. But don’t worry. I’ll be able to protect you regardless of what happens, no matter how serious the problem is!”
Lin Yuan spoke confidently. This was firstly because Autumn and Winter were right outside to help him fend off the evolution’s trials.
Additionally, the Jasmine Lily had evolved to World Emperor/Divine Kingdom, drastically improving its healing abilities. Lin Yuan could continuously supply Blackie with pure vitality during its transformation to treat any injuries.
Blackie gently hugged Lin Yuan and rested its chin on his shoulder. For Duan He, there was no difference between supporting his fey and supporting his wife. He only lavished more and more love on his fey of a wife.
Lin Yuan was well aware of Duan He’s thoughts and intentions. He was trying to take advantage of the Sea Demon Snake’s various different personalities to periodically swap out his wife’s personality. Where was the harm in this?
Duan He was Liu Jie’s closest aide during the white-clothed followers’ external training operation. He could be said to be one of the pillars of Sky City. Lin Yuan was more than happy to meet his requests!
Lin Yuan was already used to his feys showing him affection. Blackie said gently, “Yuan, honestly, I felt like I was going to die during all the previous evolutions! Each time I was certain that I wouldn’t be able to hold on any longer, you pulled me out of death’s grasp!
“This time, my bloodline is once again shackled. My bloodline will only be able to qualitatively improve if I break through the limits of the clawed dragon species! So this time won’t be easy either! As long as I have you by my side, I’m not afraid of evolving!”
Blackie hugged Lin Yuan tighter before letting him go. Lin Yuan knew that Blackie was fully ready.
Lin Yuan could sense Blackie’s unconditional trust in him. He loved this feeling of being trusted by his feys!
Lin Yuan circulated the energy in his body, and a large amount of spirit qi entered Blackie’s body.
It did not take long for Blackie’s grade to evolve from Suzerain/Myth II to Myth III and then continue to evolve further.
Two dagger fists appeared on Blackie’s white hands. They had very odd shapes, as there were five sharp protuberances on the anterior. They resembled five spread-out dragon claws!
One of the dagger fists was sharp, while the other was thick. They would be able to produce extremely different effects during combat.
Between support and combat, Blackie chose combat. Lin Yuan had anticipated Blackie to make this choice. Blackie preferred to fight opponents than provide support during combat.
Lin Yuan realized that all the feys he nurtured were ambitious and driven to distinguish themselves. He did not know whether he was supposed to be happy or vexed by this.
Blackie’s pure support abilities were Spirit Injection, Spirit Roar, Endowment Spirit Rain, and Spirit Channel System. Aside from these four support abilities and the exclusive skill, Spirit Qi Imprint, the other abilities and exclusive skills were all geared toward combat!
These four abilities and exclusive skill were already sufficient to provide support during combat!
The exclusive skills that a fey gained from evolving their quality would dictate their development direction.
Most of Lin Yuan’s feys were functional-type, and almost none of them were as strong of a combat beast as Blackie. If Blackie could only evolve into a combat beast, it would make up for this gap in Lin Yuan’s team of feys.
Every spirit qi professional had different directions. If a spirit qi professional was solely in charge of combat, a combat beast would be the best choice for them.
However, this was not the case for Lin Yuan. When Lin Yuan picked his feys, he usually leaned toward functional-type ones. They could continue to be the main type of fey that he contracted from then on.
Functional-type feys only had one drawback, which was that they had an enormous requirement for resources.
Given Lin Yuan’s wealth of resources, he could support the needs of these feys.
Morbius’ new exclusive skill, 14 Totem Seeds, would also allow Lin Yuan to pick species to support in the Sky Beyond the Clouds. Before Lin Yuan arrived there, he had no way of knowing what species he would be supporting in the future.
... While Lin Yuan was evolving Blackie, Kong Huan returned to her palace again. Upon returning, she spotted a squirrelly Fan Lou standing there, clearly with something to say.
Kong Huan frowned. She knew that something had definitely happened again! Otherwise, Fan Lou would never dare to show up there!
She did not have a pleasant temper at all, especially when her subordinates had caused her trouble.
There was no way that Fan Lou had come with good news for her. However, Kong Huan did not get angry before she heard the bad news that Fan Lou brought her. This was because she had already settled the previous matter and already planned on asking Fan Lou a few questions.
Just what was special about this Class 2 world? Kong Huan had some ideas about this special Class 2 world.
Not only could this Class 2 world birth World Emperor/Divine Kingdom lifeforms, but it had even killed so many Boundary Patrol Guards!
All of the Boundary Patrol Guards had produced their life treasures. Being employed by Honor Absent Palace was much better than trying to make it on their own in private factions!
There had to be something special about this Class 2 world for all of this to happen.
Kong Huan was increasingly interested in this Class 2 world and really wanted to investigate it.
However, she dared not act recklessly. Despite being much stronger than the Boundary Patrol Guards, she could not guarantee that whatever was in that Class 2 world would not be able to affect her.
“Fan Lou, you should be managing the Sixth Boundary Patrol Team now. Why are you here looking for me?”
As a member of the upper echelon, Kong Huan did not have to ask Fan Lou directly when she needed to speak to him.
If Fan Lou was smart, he would tell her all about the Class 2 world of his own accord.
Kong Huan came up with many possibilities but never expected Fan Lou to bring her news that would ruin her thoughts and plans.
Fan Lou knelt by Kong Huan’s feet and lowered his head to the ground. When Kong Huan saw this, she immediately knew that he had caused major trouble! Otherwise, he would never act in such a manner! Just what had happened that was causing him to put on such a display?
Kong Huan turned to look at Kong Mu. The latter wanted Fan Lou to explain the situation to Kong Huan. However, Kong Huan did not give Fan Lou the chance to speak but looked at her directly. Now, it seemed that she could not keep herself clean even if she wanted to!
There was no way that she could not respond to Kong Huan. It would be fine if she did not know anything about the situation. Alas, she knew everything about the matter.
She should not have stayed there!
Kong Mu gnashed her teeth and said nervously, “Lordess Kong Huan, when Fan Lou returned to his team, he found out that another four Boundary Patrol Guards of the Sixth Boundary Patrol Team had died. This happened because another lifeform in that world has evolved to World Emperor/Divine Kingdom!”
While Kong Mu spoke, she could sense fury spilling out from Kong Huan. She increased her rate of speech and continued. “Lordess Kong Huan, there are many special traits about this Class 2 world. Fan Lou can tell you about it in detail!
“This Class 2 world is far too dangerous. It led to the deaths of so many Boundary Patrol Guards. Anyone who tries to investigate this Class 2 world will put themselves at considerable risk!”
Kong Mu threw in the last statement to increase her chances of survival. However, she did also speak up on Fan Lou’s behalf.
Fan Lou lifted his head to look into Kong Huan’s furious eyes and voiced his daring guess, “Lordess Kong Huan, I suspect that this Class 2 world is linked to Faerie Institution. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have produced two faeries back when it was still a Class 1 world! One of the faeries even has an intermediate bloodline!”
Fan Lou used his life-preserving safety net right off the bat. Kong Huan looked visibly shocked when she heard what Fan Lou said.
However, when did the Faerie Institution that came from the South Universe and West Universe gain such a far reach?
Moreover, why did they need to interfere in a Class 1 world? This did not make sense at all!
However, there was no way that Fan Lou would lie to her. One of the Alluring Foxes’ talents was to discern lies.
When Kong Huan heard what Kong Mu said, she held herself back from crushing to death the idiot Fan Lou, who had ruined her plan.
But now, Kong Huan knew she could no longer suppress his matter. Once this matter was reported to the Honor Absent Parliament, she would have to head to this Class 2 world with the other executive members and share the loot with them.
The leader of the Boundary Patrol Team in charge of this would act as the guide.
Kong Huan still wanted to keep Fan Lou around so he could gather more benefits for her!
With that thought, Kong Huan suppressed her temper and seriously said, “Fan Lou, all of this started from your management failure. With such an error, you can’t make up for it even by sacrificing your life, much less merely giving up your position as a Boundary Patrol Envoy!
“Now, tell me every morsel of information you know about this Class 2 world. I want to know every detail about this Class 2 world! Then, I will take you with me to the upper domain of Honor Absent Palace to participate in the Honor Absent Parliament.
“You will report this situation clearly to the parliament! I need you to put your best foot forward and try to obtain the opportunity to become the guide! As long as you achieve this, I will forget about your mistake and won’t take your life after this matter is over.
“If you become the guide, you can help me to obtain some benefits from the Class 2 world. Not only will I share some of the benefits with you as a reward, but I’ll even let you keep your position as a Boundary Patrol Envoy!”
