2775 Bloodline Absorption! Lin Yuan did not say this because he truly wanted to understand the relationship between the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves and Alluring Foxes. Rather, he wanted to give Kong Huan and Fan Lou the chance to assert their dominance.
As the saying went, “Kill the chicken to scare the monkey.” Given that Kong Huan had the courage to attack the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves’ members, it showed that they were not to be feared! Otherwise, Kong Huan would have restrained herself.
Moreover, the truly powerful species from the Sky Beyond the Clouds would not brazenly break the rules just to search for resources in a Class 2 world. A powerful species would have more sources from which they could search for resources.
The more powerful the species, the more ties they would have. Feng Huan glanced at the heavily injured Bloodian numerous times. This gave Lin Yuan reason to believe that the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves were under the Bloodians.
Lin Yuan was not interested in getting to know a species that hid behind another species.
There was no species that Kong Huan hated more than the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves.
Feng Qing had caused Kong Huan to suffer an enormous humiliation. This was an unbearable insult to her.
If the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves did not have the Bloodians supporting them, Kong Huan would have insisted on battling it out with Feng Qing.
But now that Lin Yuan was asking about the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, this was a very good chance for Kong Huan. She could use the opportunity to suppress and smear the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves.
One message could be interpreted in many ways depending on how it was expressed.
Kong Huan was well-versed in the art of speaking.
“My Lord, the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves are traitors who betrayed the Moon-Worshiping Wolves almost 10,000 years ago.
“Have you heard of the Moon-Worshiping Wolves? Their internal power fell. As a result, the overall power of the species diminished. When the Moon-Worshiping Wolves were on the brink of losing all power, the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, a branch species at the time, detached themselves from them.
“It would be fine if the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves had only been the Moon-Worshiping Wolves’ dependent species. However, a few of their members had already married into the Moon-Worshiping Wolves.
“I was the one who propped up Fan Lou, the guide for this operation. However, the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves used dirty tricks to steal him away. He is now an official member of the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves. If they did not have the support of the Bloodians, they would be no match for the Alluring Wolves!”
The Moon-Worshiping Wolves had not gone after the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves because they had linked themselves to the Bloodians.
Occasionally, fights in the Sky Beyond the Clouds led to the extinction of a few species.
However, the species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds could thrive because many other species cracked and became divided.
The division of species was not a big deal. However, Kong Huan spun her words in a way that made the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves seem like a despicable species.
However, Fan Lou could not rebuke Kong Huan. Firstly, it was true he used to serve Kong Huan. Hence, the background of her claims was true.
Moreover, Fan Lou was still terribly afraid of Kong Huan.
Given the current circumstances, there was no way the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves could continue to protect him.
This young man’s attitude toward Kong Huan made it obvious he regarded her as the most valuable of the group.
Feng Huan’s face flushed when he heard what Kong Huan said. He was about to speak when a terrifying aura enveloped him and paralyzed his movements.
Winter frowned and looked at Feng Huan. Lin Yuan was currently in the middle of asking them questions. By interrupting Lin Yuan before he posed a question to him, Feng Huan was disrespecting Lin Yuan.
As Lin Yuan’s follower, there was no way that Winter would permit such disrespect.
Winter’s body composition allowed him to sense that Kong Huan was telling the truth. Although she was bending the message, the statements were facts nonetheless.
Winter did not feel any negative emotions toward species that split off.
There were many species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds that split off from their main species and eventually rose up to attain even greater power.
However, a species like this that attached itself to another faction after splitting off from its original species constricted its own development and prevented itself from gaining prominence.
Winter despised species like these, but there were a fair number of them in the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Lin Yuan knew that Spring and Winter were capable of discerning truth from lies.
When Spring nodded at him, Lin Yuan knew that Kong Huan was telling the truth.
But it was always more convenient for him to discern the truth for himself rather than depending on others.
Lin Yuan intended to strengthen the Sky-Questioning Flaming Heart Mushroom to World Emperor/Divine Kingdom once he was done asking his questions to Kong Huan and Fan Lou. The Sky-Questioning Flaming Heart Mushroom’s spores would then be able to judge if World Emperor/Divine Kingdom experts were telling the truth!
Given the Sky-Questioning Flaming Heart Mushroom’s power, its spores would not have much of an effect on Kong Huan and Fan Lou even if they did not put up any resistance.
Once Lin Yuan was done asking Kong Huan his questions, he ignored the rest of the invaders.
Instead, he turned his gaze to Winter and asked, “Winter, do you think any of these species’ bloodlines are worth nurturing?”
Although Lin Yuan had seen the invaders, he did not know much about the situation in the Sky Beyond the Clouds. More often than not, asking Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter for their opinions was better than doing research on his own.
Winter had already guessed that Lin Yuan would use his Body of All Spirits to nurture more bloodlines.
Using the Body of All Spirits to nurture bloodlines took time. Each time a bloodline was abandoned, all the time that had gone into nurturing it would be wasted.
Hence, recommending a bloodline to Lin Yuan was extremely important to Winter.
After a moment of silence, Winter said seriously, “My Lord, if you would like to nurture a bloodline, the Alluring Fox, Bloodian, and Burning Demon bloodlines are all worth considering. As for the other bloodlines, it will be easy to find better alternatives in the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
“The Bloodians have various variations of their main bloodline, making the bloodlines significantly diverse. The two Bloodian warriors they dispatched for this mission possess bloodlines closely aligned to the original one, which is considered the most authentic. Extracting their bloodlines eliminates the need to replace them for nurturing a different one upon reaching the Sky Beyond the Clouds.”
Lin Yuan nodded and looked at the three Alluring Foxes, Bloodian, as well as the dead Burning Demon.
Before Lin Yuan spoke, Spring said seriously, “Lord Saint, I will help you to extract the bloodlines. Once I’ve extracted them, I will bring over the two individuals you have selected! As for the others, you can decide what to do with them once you are done speaking to the two!”
Lin Yuan really liked how thoughtful Spring was. She always thought one step ahead of him and could understand what he wanted.
When he was in the Radiance Federation, Summer was also by his side. When it came to such matters, Summer was no match for Spring.
Lin Yuan’s Body of All Spirits did not require much bloodline energy in order to absorb bloodlines. Hence, extracting the bloodlines would not have much of an effect on Kong Huan and the others.
Moreover, if he extracted too many bloodlines at once, his Body of All Spirits would be contaminated.
... Lin Yuan went to the main palace and sat down on the throne. The totem on the wall behind the chair became increasingly clearer. Soon, the entire totem lit up with a reddish-bronze light.
Morbius’ voice echoed in Lin Yuan’s mind. “Partner, I can sense that my body is being filled up with power, which is coming from the totem on the wall. I want to take some time to absorb this energy. Partner, I might need you to stay here for a little longer.”
Morbius rarely asked Lin Yuan for anything. Since Morbius could absorb the energy from the totem on the wall, there was no reason for Lin Yuan to turn Morbius down.
Lin Yuan really hoped that Morbius would be able to evolve its roots. As his lifelong fey, Morbius’ accumulation of energy also strengthened Lin Yuan’s power.
Lin Yuan remembered Spring and Winter mentioning that there was a totem on the wall of all four of their palaces.
Once Morbius absorbed all the energy in the wall illustration, Lin Yuan would head to the other three palaces to see if Morbius could also absorb the energy from the wall illustrations there.
Lin Yuan was not in the main palace for long before Spring brought him three crystal bottles. These three crystal bottles contained three strange types of energy.
In the main world, the best way to extract bloodlines was to temper the essence blood in the lifeform. However, this method would result in the extracted bloodline containing impurities.
Spring had used her own body composition to extract the bloodlines of Kong Huan and the rest. Spring’s body composition had filtered out the impurities for Lin Yuan, ensuring the purity of these three bloodlines.
First, Lin Yuan received the crystal bottle that contained the Burning Demon bloodline and held it in his palm.
In an instant, Lin Yuan could sense that the Burning Demon bloodline felt extremely affectionate toward him.
Lin Yuan circulated his energy and absorbed the Burning Demon bloodline into his body with ease.
Spring said softly, “Lord Saint, this Burning Demon is weak, and its bloodline level is low. However, the Burning Demon bloodline is straightforward and doesn’t have as many variations and branches as the Bloodians. Once you begin nurturing the Burning Demon bloodline, fire elements will no longer be able to harm you. Rather, they will enhance you.
“There are also many abyss demons that can control flames in your Class 2 world. The abyss demons are able to control flames because of the lotus-species lifeform you have taken control of.
“On the other hand, the Burning Demons’ ability to control flames comes from their own bloodline. The Burning Demons are a very elite type of lifeform.”
Lin Yuan thought, So the abyss demons are also an enormous species in the Sky Beyond the Clouds!
It was just as Spring said. The abyss demons could control flames because the Abyss Wombs produced by the Abyss Red Lotus had been infected by its aura.
Now that the abyssal world had fused with the main world, there was no Abyss Red Lotus to infect the Abyss Wombs.
The fire-elemental energy in the Abyss Wombs decreased continuously. As a result, the newly born abyss demons had lost the ability to wield fire-elemental energy in combat and only had a body that was highly resistant to fire-elemental energy.
After thousands of years passed, once all the fire-elemental energy had disappeared from within the Abyss Wombs, the abyss demons would revert to their original forms.
Lin Yuan felt that taking control of and nurturing a bloodline to gain resistance to and benefit from a type of elemental energy was a very good thing.
In this regard, the Burning Demon bloodline could be equated to the mermaid bloodline.
After absorbing the Burning Demon bloodline, Lin Yuan picked up the crystal bottle that contained the Bloodian bloodline and began absorbing it.
The Bloodians’ bloodline was highly capable of infecting the bloodlines of other lifeforms. High-class Bloodians would use their own bloodlines to infect and take control of other lifeforms, turning them into their slaves.
Their bloodline was one of the main reasons the Bloodians were so feared by other species. If they were infected by the Bloodians’ bloodline during combat, it would be difficult to solve this issue even if they won the fight.
Yet, in Lin Yuan’s hands, the Bloodian bloodline was very tame and submitted to his body composition.
After absorbing the Burning Demon bloodline, Lin Yuan’s body would light up with a fiery glow when he activated it. Lin Yuan’s eyes would also turn faintly orange.
This was because the Burning Demon bloodline was not strong. The two Bloodian bloodlines that Spring had extracted were of a much higher level than that of the Burning Demon bloodline.
Lin Yuan’s eyes turned blood-red, and his hair also changed from black to crimson.
The bright red hair fell past his shoulders, giving him a devilishly elite air.
Lin Yuan could sense that his physical strength increased exponentially when he tapped into the Bloodian bloodline.
Lin Yuan casually took out a piece of radium steel and gripped it lightly. It buckled under his grip, changing its shape.
Lin Yuan used a little strength, and the hard metal began seeping through his fingers.
The improvement in his physical strength made Lin Yuan very interested in this bloodline, so he decided to strengthen it first.
The Bloodians could take control of bloodlines, and their bodies were powerful. It was no wonder that the mermaids were no match for them.
Just like the mermaid bloodline, the Bloodian bloodline had numerous distinct levels.
Lin Yuan could not be bothered with these complicated levels. To him, the bloodlines were nothing more than tools. All he needed to do was make use of those tools.
Now, all that was left was the Alluring Fox bloodline. Both Spring and Winter had praised the Alluring Fox bloodline, piquing Lin Yuan interest.
However, rather than taking control of the Alluring Fox bloodline to mesmerize other fox-species and lifeforms, Lin Yuan believed that the boost and resistance to flames and the blood-type enchantments and physical strength boost from the other two bloodlines were much more beneficial!
While Lin Yuan was absorbing the Alluring Fox bloodline, Spring spoke.
