2756 Treecastle in the Sky! Lin Yuan continuously perfected Sky City’s structure.
In the eyes of other factions, these seemed to be giant secret establishments. But in actuality, they were not even Sky City’s core.
As Morbius’ grade continued to increase, the Spirit Lock spatial zone continuously grew larger.
The Spirit Lock spatial zone perfectly realized all the ideas and plans that Lin Yuan had. It was now Sky City’s core.
As long as Lin Yuan wanted to, he could move Sky Sea and Lift Marsh into the Spirit Lock spatial zone.
The construction of the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s interior had become a top priority. From now on, Lin Yuan would nurture various feys and species in the Spirit Lock spatial zone that were rare in the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Hence, Lin Yuan would rather spend more resources now than have to alter the Spirit Lock spatial zone later.
Hu Quan was very serious about his work and took the same attitude toward leading the team. Having to redo the work when there were no issues with the design was the greatest disrespect to Hu Quan and the other Spirit Craftsmen!
Hu Quan barked out a few delighted laughs. Ever since he began working for Lin Yuan, Hu Quan had been very satisfied and carefree.
There was nothing that a Spirit Craftsman was more afraid of than having their resources limited, as this would restrict their inspiration.
With Lin Yuan, not only had Hu Quan’s inspiration never been limited, but he was frequently enlightened by the new resources that Lin Yuan gave him access to as well.
As a result, Hu Quan had broader horizons. He also came to understand that in order for a Spirit Craftsman’s class to be raised, they required not just skill and experience but, more importantly, an elevated mind.
Hu Quan had his reasons for using jade-textured wooden planks rather than jade-textured wood shards to cover the bottom of the lake.
Amazonite had the ability to purify water. With the spirit qi’s nourishment, amazonite could produce water that was as blue as the sky and completely absent of impurities.
When larimar was embedded at the bottom of the lake, it would generate water currents. Larimar was essential in creating a comfortable environment for nurturing water-type dragon-species feys.
The larimar created very tough water currents that would strengthen the dragon-species feys’ bodies. This gave them more strength when they swam.
If jade-textured wood shards were used to cover the bottom of the lake, the churning of the water currents would create some turbidness in the water.
But if jade-textured wooden planks were used to cover the bottom of the lake, Hu Quan could alter the genetic model of the wooden planks to suit the environment at the bottom of the lake.
When light shone on the bottom of the lake, rays of light were reflected. If the water was absolutely clear, even looking at the lake from a close distance would allow one to see thousands of flood dragons dancing in the sky.
Hence, aside from striving for perfection in his designs, Hu Quan never forgot to do his best to minimize the cost that Lin Yuan incurred.
Lin Yuan shook his head. Genius had not stopped reporting Hu Quan’s progress to Lin Yuan.
Genius had given its input on both the breeding room for the army of Hundred Questions Beasts and living areas for the cats.
Hu Quan had essentially received an order and built the breeding room and living areas according to Genius’ specifications.
Both the breeding rooms and living spaces were functional bases. Anything was fine as long as it was what Genius wanted!
With Hu Quan’s designs and as long as he was not shackled, the functional bases could also be turned into works of art!
“Uncle Hu, I don’t need to go and see it. Aside from the lake, you can make use of the upper area of the Spirit Lock spatial zone. This will maximize its utilization!”
Lin Yuan’s words stunned Hu Quan and opened up new potential ideas. However, Hu Quan did not have any inspiration or thoughts at the moment.
He just could not find a way to make use of the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s upper area.
Hu Quan knew that whenever Lin Yuan brought up an idea, he did so after having given it some thought. Lin Yuan was not the kind to shoot from the hip and ignorantly toss tasks to his subordinates.
After ensuring he did not have any ideas, Hu Quan asked, “Young Master, what are your ideas for using the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s upper area? There is no limit to its height, so it is truly worth using it.
“I did some tests and found the concentration of spirit qi in the sky to be comparable to that on the ground. It will make a conducive environment to nurture avian-type feys. However, avian-type feys will need to stop to rest. Even if they have sufficiently high intelligence and know not to defecate while in the sky to avoid polluting the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s environment, they will need a place to rest.”
Lin Yuan smiled. “Uncle Hu, you lived in the Divine Wood Federation for some time as well. Have you forgotten about the special plants that are used as treecastles there?
“Let’s take the Prosperous Chamber of Commerce’s Hollowed Tamarix as an example. After the Hollowed Tamarix evolves to Myth Breed, it will be able to grow up to tens of thousands of meters tall. The Hollowed Tamarix can lower the external pressure to ensure that lifeforms can live comfortably within it. It is also able to store sunlight, and the backs of its leaves will subsequently release the sunlight.
“I learned from Elder Weng that the Creation Breed Hollowed Tamarix can grow to almost 50,000 meters tall. If we want to make use of the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s sky, our best option will be to nurture the Hollowed Tamarix! The light in the Spirit Lock spatial zone is currently supplied by the jade-textured wood. However, the sunlight requirements for all the feys in the Spirit Lock spatial zone are being met.
“Gray’s clear weather and Chimey’s sun can both be situated in the sky to illuminate the Spirit Lock spatial zone. It won’t take long to fill the Hollowed Tamarix’s leaves with energy. The interior of the Hollowed Tamarix can house people while its branches can be used to rear avian-type feys, as well as insect-, spider-, and beast-species feys that live in trees.”
The main reason Lin Yuan wanted to make use of the Spirit Lock spatial zone’s sky was that he wanted to maximize the use of the energy. This would ensure that the spirit qi produced by the spirit pool would not accumulate in the Spirit Lock spatial zone and potentially cause the spirit pool’s rate of production of energy ores to slow down.
Energy ores were not considered to be very valuable in the main world, and it was the same in the Sky Beyond the Clouds!
The spirit qi mineral veins were as precious as they were in the Sky Beyond the Clouds because the spirit stones mined from the spirit qi mineral veins had a purity of more than 40% and could be directly absorbed by lifeforms.
The same could not be said for that of the main world. There were also many energy ores in the Sky Beyond the Clouds, and they were used as tradeable currency by low-class lifeforms.
Hence, it was necessary for the spirit pool to maximize its distilling ability.
Lin Yuan’s words caused Hu Quan’s eyes to light up. Planting many tall tree castles in the Spirit Lock spatial zone could indeed increase the utilization of its upper area.
Technically, there was no sky in the Spirit Lock spatial zone. Lin Yuan was essentially creating one using the tree castles.
The area above the tops of the trees could also be used, as long as the tops of the trees were not crushed.
Hu Quan never suspected Lin Yuan’s ability to nurture feys. The Spirit Lock spatial zone was essentially a giant treasure trove.
The Deposit Vegetable Pods in the Spirit Lock spatial zone had not been specially nurtured. They evolved into human form after five to six months of absorbing the pure spirit qi there.
The Hollowed Tamarix would definitely be more difficult to nurture than the Deposit Vegetable Pods.
However, it would be able to reach Creation Breed very quickly if it was planted in the Spirit Lock spatial zone.
Moreover, the army of Hundred Questions Beasts under Lin Yuan were all high-class Creation Masters.
When Hu Quan learned of this secret, he could not believe everything that was in front of his eyes! This secret overhauled his understanding of the sacred profession of Creation Masters.
However, Hu Quan would not reveal this secret.
Hu Quan also knew that he would not have the chance to reveal this secret. Lin Yuan would never let him leave again after he began working in the Spirit Lock spatial zone. Otherwise, regardless of how much Lin Yuan trusted him, he would never share so many secrets with him!
Others might see this as a loss of their freedom, but Hu Quan saw this as Lin Yuan giving him a chance. It was a chance for him to map out this Eden of a world!
“Young Master, I will create a garden used to nurture the Hollowed Tamarixes. Once they have grown to maturity, I will arrange them in the Spirit Lock spatial zone! They do not let in sunlight easily. Jade-textured wood will still be needed to illuminate the top of the Spirit Lock spatial zone.
“I will pick some jade-textured wood and carve them into the shape of stars and place them on the branches of the Hollowed Tamarixes. This way, those who look up from the ground will be able to see the gleaming constellations!”
Lin Yuan nodded and replied, “Uncle Hu, the jade-textured wood is a resource that we can produce very quickly. Do whatever you want without worrying about the amount of jade-textured wood that you have to use. If you don’t have enough wood, I will send Listen to collect some and deliver it to the Spirit Lock spatial zone.”
Lin Yuan always held the idea of family close to his heart. This did not refer to people but to a place he was familiar with.
It was true that the Return from Faraway Mansion was Lin Yuan’s home in the Radiance Federation. But he could not shift the Return from Faraway Mansion to the Sky Beyond the Clouds. The Spirit Lock spatial zone would thus become his proxy home.
The Moon Empress, Liu Jie, Wen Yu, Su Yiren, and the rest would all be going to the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
They would all be living in the Spirit Lock spatial zone, and Lin Yuan could rest easy!
After telling Hu Quan about his requests, Lin Yuan took a general stock of the situation in the Spirit Lock spatial zone.
Keira was still asleep, and Lin Yuan did not wake her up. After settling the matters in the Spirit Lock spatial zone, Lin Yuan decided to focus on the main world as a whole and begin making alterations to the main world.
Lin Yuan took out the Thoughts Letter Paper but did not contact the Moon Empress immediately. Instead, he contacted Wen Yu.
He could not ask his master to give him a report of the circumstances. It was easier and more convenient to communicate with Wen Yu and Wo Lun than the Moon Empress.
Ever since the death aura disappeared from the ley lines, Wen Yu started helping Lin Yuan to organize and gather information from all over the main world.
Wen Yu was Lin Yuan’s companion and one of the three founders of Sky City. She could tap into the channels of information in the main world and quickly organize all of the information.
Wen Yu was undeniably capable. But she was only able to collect so much information in the short span of a few months because of the Source Paper’s exclusive skill, Hear Heaven’s Secrets.
[Lin Yuan]: Wen Yu, how is Wo Lun doing with his boats and plans? Wen Yu looked surprised and happy when she saw the message from Lin Yuan.
[Wen Yu]: Young Master, you are finally out of seclusion! With the Moon Empress’ support, everything on Wo Lun’s side is going very smoothly. The Radiance Federation’s major cities will soon be able to begin using boats for trading! The only setback is that with all the options of spiritual ingredients that you’ve given Wo Lun, the boats are constantly being rebuilt. Luckily, the rebuilt boats have crazily high demand from the other federations and are sold almost immediately after being built.
Wen Yu felt that it was rather a waste to swap out the boats that had only been in use for less than two months. After all, the new fleets were not significantly better than the previous ones.
Moreover, the sea clans were now on good terms with the human factions, while the water world’s lifeforms were perfectly under Lin Yuan’s control. They would never pose a threat to the humans who used the boats for trade.
Hence, the change in the new boats’ capabilities should not use up so many resources!
After a moment of silence, Wen Yu told Lin Yuan about her thoughts. Lin Yuan was the one who supplied the obscene amount of resources that Wo Lun was wasting.
The waste of billions of Radiance dollars worth of resources caused Wen Yu’s chest to ache.
Lin Yuan smiled and shook his head after reading Wen Yu’s thoughts. Firstly, he could produce a large amount of resources quickly.
Moreover, the innovation of the boats would determine the main world’s main mode of trading in the future. Any amount of resources that was spent was a necessity.
Wo Lun dared to do all this because he had received Lin Yuan’s approval.
Moreover, the other federations were there to take over the eliminated boats.
If this situation was prolonged, all the federations in the main world would eventually have sufficient boats for trading.
The Radiance Federation would be the first to receive the cutting-edge boats. This ensured that the Radiance Federation would remain the leader of the pack regardless of what changes took place in the future!
