2720 Body of Weather! Gray had remained in the Spirit Lock spatial zone and absorbed weather from the various plant-type feys that could produce weather.
Moreover, the nourishment from the pure spirit qi allowed Gray to build an exceptional foundation.
Lin Yuan had never felt anxious about evolving Gray’s quality and grade.
If Gray could naturally comprehend Willpower Runes and evolve to Fantasy Breed, it would be very close to Myth Breed.
Lin Yuan had been painstakingly nurturing the Floating Island Whale. Lin Yuan saw Gray as being linked to Sky Sea. Gray was also a Heavenly Family Fey with an extremely fearsome bloodline.
Sky Sea was not of much help in taking on the dead spirits crisis caused by Tower Canon.
Gray could not be of much help, either. But it could not be denied that Sky Sea was stronger than Gray.
Due to the exclusive skill Sky Sea gained when it evolved to Suzerain/Myth, Sky Sea had become one of Lin Yuan’s most important foundational feys. Not even Genius’ strategic significance could compare to that of Sky Sea.
It seemed that Sky Sea and Gray would only be able to truly shine once they went to the Sky Beyond the Clouds!
“Gray, the Spirit Lock spatial zone isn’t conducive for you to comprehend Willpower Runes. I will take you outside.”
Lin Yuan took Gray out of the Spirit Lock spatial zone. In the endless wilderness, the sand formed a seat behind Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan reclined in the chair and looked expectantly at the tuft of cloud that was Gray. He had accompanied Gray just like this when it transformed into a Heavenly Family Fey.
The weather was clear today, while that night had been snowing. Many experts in the Royal Capital sensed Gray’s aura and wanted to investigate but were all blocked by the Mother of Bloodbath.
Lin Yuan could even kill the true Eight Pages of Tower Canon and was confident that he would be able to ensure Gray’s safety.
If there was truly an accident, the only possible culprit would be Epoch God Palace.
Lin Yuan was increasingly fearful of Epoch God Palace. After his interaction with Fifth Page Falling Rainbow, he became aware of how strong Epoch God Palace was.
If they attacked him before he initiated contact with them, he would have no choice but to fight with his life on the line!
Gray used Cloudy Weather and turned its entire body into thin wisps of clouds that enveloped the area.
It did not take long for the willpowers that corresponded to the weather to respond to Gray.
While it was comprehending the Willpower Runes, Gray let out a symphonious cry in harmony with nature.
Seven to eight types of weather phenomena appeared in succession and formed a perfect cohesion that painted a captivating scene.
Gray was not satisfied with taking control of one of the willpowers. Rather, it continuously compressed and tempered the willpowers of all of the weather phenomena so it could absorb all of them.
As Gray’s power grew, it became increasingly greedy during its transformations. But it could not be denied that it would be intrinsically transformed if it succeeded! This would improve Gray’s original foundation!
Gray had been working hard, building up its foundation for this moment.
Gray was not naturally greedy. It used to be content and happy for an entire day by just having the opportunity to fill its belly.
When Lin Yuan discovered Gray, it had been in the worst state out of all of his feys.
Lin Yuan was the one who had brought out this greedy trait in Gray. But in an environment where there was no lack of resources, feys could be greedy in their increase in power.
Gray could sense that Lin Yuan was quietly watching it. It intended to give this its best shot for both its own sake and so it would not disappoint Lin Yuan.
Gray activated the bloodline in its body and used it as a medium to absorb all the willpowers associated with weather.
When Heavenly Family Feys activated their bloodlines, there was a high chance that their bloodlines would end up damaged.
Gray was being serious! Pure spirit qi was beneficial to the evolution of any fey.
Lin Yuan raised his hand and summoned a chest of spirit qi crystals. Lin Yuan manipulated the Overlord Sand and crushed the spirit qi crystals so that their highly pure spirit qi could nourish Gray and facilitate the activation of its bloodline.
To win or die trying. It was a fact that feys needed to accept the possibility of undergoing various risks when they evolved their grades and qualities.
As the willpowers in the weather battled each other, Gray would be extremely uncomfortable. However, there was little that Lin Yuan could do to help with this.
He would only step in to help once he was certain Gray could not comprehend the Willpower Runes and risked hurting its roots.
If Gray’s roots were damaged in the process of comprehending Willpower Runes, it would not be able to continue evolving anytime soon!
Luckily, Gray’s foundation was solid, and it was reasonable and would never do anything that overextended itself.
Gray managed to successfully condense its Willpower Rune. This Willpower Rune contained the radiant light of a clear day, darkness of a cloudy day, iciness of snow, roaring of wind, violence of lightning, and beauty of rainbows.
When these various natural phenomena fused together, the resultant Willpower Rune seemed to be able to represent nature itself.
At the instant that the Willpower Rune was produced, Gray’s grade was successfully evolved!
When Lin Yuan used True Data to check on Gray, he saw that Gray’s quality had changed from its original Legend to Fantasy I.
Gray had gained the exclusive skill called Body of Weather.
[Body of Weather]: The body will comprehend the construction of natural phenomena it controls and produce them accordingly. These natural phenomena can be used to aid other targets so they will receive double empowerment regardless of the weather they are experiencing.
Not only could Body of Weather replenish Gray, but it also had strong support effects that could influence a certain area.
Gray could produce weather at will in an area covered by its clouds. Even if an environment lacked weather, Gray could use its own body to produce the weather and continue increasing its power.
Body of Weather could use natural phenomena to support itself and other targets and provide them with double the empowerment. It could be linked with and be effective in all the weather territories that Gray could produce.
Gray’s territorial abilities could affect a large number of targets. Lin Yuan gave an order to the recently evolved Gray. He instructed it to use Body of Weather to support the plants in its surroundings.
Lin Yuan realized that Body of Weather could easily support a large number of targets. This would make Gray instrumental in large-scale battles.
Now that Gray had evolved, Lin Yuan did not remain on this grassland with Gray. Instead, he went to the boundary between the Radiance Federation and Startling Lines Continent.
Before Falling Rainbow left, Lin Yuan told her that he wanted her to lure the other six members of Tower Canon to the Startling Lines Continent.
Lin Yuan would be able to minimize the damage to the main world to the greatest extent by battling with Tower Canon at that boundary.
Lin Yuan had set up special infrastructure all over the Startling Lines Continent. It could be said that the Startling Lines Continent’s defense was just as strong as that of the Radiance Federation. Since the infrastructure did not have to take the survival of the citizens into consideration, there were areas in the Startling Lines Continent that had stronger defenses than the Radiance Federation!
Tower Canon had their sights set on the Radiance Federation. Falling Rainbow had emphasized this when replying to Lin Yuan’s questions.
The Eight Pages of Tower Canon had already divided up the potential spoils from the Radiance Federation. They were fully confident that they would be able to take over the Radiance Federation.
The impression was that the Radiance Federation was leading the Startling Lines Continent!
When the other members of Tower Canon went to the Radiance Federation, they would immediately be lured to the Startling Lines Continent once sufficient commotion was caused in the Startling Lines Continent!
Lin Yuan would take the next few days to set up the Startling Lines Continent.
In order to create a large enough commotion to lure the other members of Tower Canon to the Startling Lines Continent from the Radiance Federation, the best plan would be to use Keira, the demon insect queen, as bait.
Falling Rainbow had yet to tell Lin Yuan about her plan. Once Falling Rainbow told Lin Yuan about her plan, he could come up with preparations according to her plan.
With a mole that was also able to influence the decision-making, it would be much easier to carry out tasks!
Keira was in the midst of producing demon insects with special shuttle abilities. She needed to be in a slumber state now, and Lin Yuan would never send her out at such a time.
However, if the information came from Falling Rainbow, it was unlikely that the other members of Tower Canon would suspect her.
As Keira’s contractor, Lin Yuan could issue orders to all the demon insects while she was slumbering.
The Startling Lines Continent was the place where the demon insect species first started reproducing, so Lin Yuan instructed the demon insects to speed up their digging and search for the ley lines in the hopes of finding the exact locations of the ley lines.
Aside from Keira’s information, instructing the demon insects to absorb death aura from the Startling Lines Continent would also attract Tower Canon’s attention.
The stronger the insects from the Startling Lines Continent, the better he would be able to prove to the other members of Tower Canon that there was indeed a demon insect queen in the Startling Lines Continent.
... As the millions of demon insects continued digging, all the ley lines in the Startling Lines Continent were uncovered.
There was a layer of special minerals on the ley lines near the Startling Lines Continent.
The minerals condensed into black crystals after being infected by death aura. The death aura in the black crystals was relatively pure, at least 85%.
The demon insects collected the crystals as they were very beneficial to the demon insects that were produced from death aura as the main form of energy.
Now that the demon insects were exposed, they were ready and waiting for Lin Yuan to give them an order. Once he issued his order, the demon insects would immediately begin absorbing death aura from the ley lines.
... A day later, Lin Yuan finally received a message from Falling Rainbow through the Thoughts Letter Paper.
[Falling Rainbow]: The dead world’s roots are about to be fused with the main world. Once that happens, the dead world’s roots will consume and subsume the main world’s roots. This will not only increase the release of death aura but also replace the root energy of this world. I will do my best to hide the news of Eighth Page Eye Shadow’s death before taking the others to the Radiance Federation. If they intend on attacking the Radiance Federation, I will do what I can to restrain them!
Falling Rainbow’s idea was essentially useless to Lin Yuan. This made him very displeased with her.
However, given the circumstances, it was true that it would be difficult for her to propose any suggestions.
Her point about doing her best to restrain them from attacking the Radiance Federation sounded promising, but there was nothing she could do if the rest of them had already made up their minds.
If Falling Rainbow made overly grand promises to Lin Yuan, he would be suspicious of her and wonder if she intended to selflessly sacrifice herself for the sake of the dead world she belonged to.
Morbius’ voice appeared in Lin Yuan’s mind. “Partner, are you really going to let Falling Rainbow go?”
Lin Yuan shook his head. He was only making use of Falling Rainbow to delay enemy forces.
Falling Rainbow absolutely had to die. Otherwise, Lin Yuan would not be able to answer to the lifeforms that died as a result of the dead spirits wave.
Even if he did not kill her, the other members of Tower Canon might do so once they learned of her betrayal.
[Lin Yuan]: What can you achieve by doing your best? Are you really going to be able to stop the members of Tower Canon from attacking the Radiance Federation? Don’t forget that you need to carry out your plan. Bring the other members of Tower Canon to the Startling Lines Continent as soon as possible! Otherwise, you will suffer the consequences!
Once Lin Yuan was done speaking, he put Falling Rainbow out of his mind.
Falling Rainbow’s life was in Lin Yuan’s hands, and she could not afford to cause trouble.
The imprint left by the Abyss Red Lotus on Falling Rainbow’s soul would not only burn her soul but also enable Lin Yuan to keep her on a leash. He could also use this method to ambush the other members of Tower Canon.
Once the imprint on Falling Rainbow’s soul was activated, her soul would become an incubator for the Hellfire Lotus Imprint. When Lin Yuan triggered her soul to explode, the Hellfire Lotus Imprint would be applied to the other members of Tower Canon.
One had to know that the Hellfire Lotus Imprints needed to absorb energy. Falling Rainbow’s soul energy was of a sufficiently high quality that the Hellfire Lotus Imprints applied to the other members of Tower Canon would definitely be able to affect them.
When Lin Yuan triggered the explosion of Falling Rainbow’s soul, he would only severely damage her soul. With her strength, it would not be enough to kill her.
Nonetheless, this would cause the other members of Tower Canon to realize her betrayal.
If they attacked and killed Falling Rainbow, it would have nothing to do with Lin Yuan!
All of Lin Yuan’s plans had gone extremely smoothly in the past. But this time, it would not go according to plan.
