2677 Progress of the Sped-Up Demon Insects! Lin Yuan had been fully focused on saving the Radiance Federation and had not stopped to consider whether the demon insects would also be effective at helping the seas.
Wen Yu’s question had indeed prompted him, and Keira’s answer excited him.
The female insects produced by Keira could produce demon insects with Class 2 and 3 Genetic Locks that would be able to clear death aura from the sea. This was great!
This way, not only would the problems in the water world be solved, but the water world lifeforms and sea clans would also be saved. The environment in the sea would also be cleaned up.
The sea would also become an incubator for the demon insects.
Lin Yuan could not only use the demon insects to save the world but also take advantage of the dead spirits crisis to nurture and strengthen the demon insects. The strengthened demon insects would become another secret weapon that he could utilize when he went to the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
The Land Imps worked according to the areas that Keira had mapped out, and the ground of the Startling Lines Continent was slowly revealed. Previously, the ground had been brown or black. But after being contaminated by death aura, the ground had turned grayish-black. The warped soil could also release death aura.
Luckily, the demon insects were continuously consuming the death aura from underground. Otherwise, the Land Imps would have become infected, their bodies would start to decay, and their lifespans would be shortened!
It was clear that the situation had been handled. But just to be on the safe side, Lin Yuan instructed Red Thorn to station the Abyss Great Emperor by Keira’s side so he could protect her if any threats cropped up. Keira’s own body was not very strong. She would not be able to endure being attacked by an expert!
If anything happened to Keira, the demon insects would not be able to continue reproducing and expanding.
Liu Jie said with awe, “Lin Yuan, we have managed to counter Tower Canon’s second move. But I don’t think they will back down so easily! They must have other moves planned.”
Lin Yuan could not dispute Liu Jie on this and nodded. If this was all that Tower Canon had up their sleeve, they would not be trying to take over the main world! There was no way that a dimensional world that used to be attached to a Class 3 world would be so easy to handle!
That said, the demon insects’ abilities were only just beginning to develop. From here on out, it would be a clash between the demon insects and Tower Canon.
Keira was not powerful on her own. But after the demon insects with Class 2 and 3 Genetic Locks absorbed death aura, they could increase their own power endlessly! All they needed was some time to develop, and their power would be able to climb rapidly.
It would not take long before the demon insects became a force to be reckoned with and turned the tide on the dead spirits crisis. The dead dimensional world saw the demon insects as threats, but the demon insects saw the dead dimensional lifeforms as food. The two sides had different stances and saw each other from different perspectives.
Since the issue had been perfectly resolved, Lin Yuan returned to the Radiance Federation.
Lin Yuan would take Keira back with him. Three of the five demon insects would be left in the Startling Lines Continent to continue expanding the insect army, while the other two would be sent to the seas to help the sea clans and water world dimensional lifeforms.
Although Lin Yuan had already done all that he could do to help, both the sea clans and water world dimensional lifeforms suffered grievous losses.
With the demon insects helping the Vast Sea Labyrinth, all of the sea clans would be saved, and they would not become extinct during the sixth epoch.
When Keira found out about Lin Yuan’s plans, she immediately made the arrangements. Doom, whom Keira was the most displeased with, was left in the Startling Lines Continent and would be in charge of covering the center territory. The other two would be sent to the north and south territories to build up their insect armies while still periodically sending demon insects to the Radiance Federation.
The remaining two female insects, who were the ones that Keira most favored, were sent to the seas. There were far more dead spirits in the sea than in the Startling Lines Continent, so the work would be very cushy there!
The two female demon insects could not be more thrilled. Doom looked at Keira woefully. She did not understand why Keira had suddenly turned against her. Keira had picked her twice, and Doom felt that both her performances had been satisfactory.
When they were first hatched, her gene concentration had been the highest. Logically, she should be the most favored by Keira.
The center territory was almost completely empty of demon insects now. There were the least dead spirits there in the entire Startling Lines Continent. If she went there, the insect army she produced would be the smallest of all the female demon insects.
The insect queens of the demon insects competed with each other in terms of the size of their colonies. Those with larger colonies also had higher statuses!
But as wronged as Doom felt, she did not utter a word for fear of saying something that made Keira even more upset.
When Lin Yuan returned to the Radiance Federation, he went directly to the Radiant Moon Palace.
The Moon Empress was sipping tea in the inner palace while reading reports.
The demon insects with Class 2 and 3 Genetic Locks immediately began building colonies once they were delivered to an area. Then, they started absorbing the death aura around their colonies and feasting on the dead spirits as a means of fueling their reproduction rates.
The insects with Class 2 and 3 Genetic Locks were considered derivative female insects and were also very capable of reproduction.
Even the regions with relatively weaker defenses no longer had any other injuries or deaths once the demon insects arrived!
Almost half of the Radiance Federation’s pressure disappeared. The Radiance Federation’s troops could finally take a break.
Cicada Song immediately ordered the Radiance Federation’s troops to rest while sending the spirit qi professionals who had just been trained to heal injuries caused by death aura to treat all of the Radiance Federation’s troops.
Cicada Song and the Moon Empress came to an agreement after a discussion.
Although the demon insects provided a solution, the dead spirits crisis still posed just as much danger to the main world as it always had.
The dead dimensional lifeforms had appeared after the dead spirits crisis had progressed to a certain extent. No one could say if there would be other special dead spirits appearing in the future.
In order to overcome this obstacle, the Radiance Federation would have to boost its own power and could not rely on others for everything!
This was not because the Radiance Federation did not trust Lin Yuan enough to use his secret weapons but because they needed to set a proper position.
If they relied on Lin Yuan for everything instead of boosting themselves, the Radiance Federation would not be able to handle any external conflicts in the future.
Cicada Song had heard from the Moon Empress that Lin Yuan’s sights were not limited to the Radiance Federation or the main world but to a higher-level world.
There was no way that the main world would have access to Lin Yuan’s protection at all times.
Cicada Song knew that a large reason for the Moon Empress mentioning this was that she did not want Lin Yuan to have to bear the burden of holding up the main world on his own. Additionally, she wanted the Radiance Federation to use this opportunity to become stronger.
They had already begun rolling out the changes to the Creation Master system.
The Moon Empress intended to give out all of her resources to use this opportunity to build up the overall power of the Radiance Federation’s troops.
The Radiance Hundred Sequence selection, Radiance Hundred Sequence reranking, Radiance Knight selection, and Radiance Envoy selection that had been postponed by Liu Wencheng also had to be commenced!
The Moon Empress intended to use the next six months to breathe new life into the Radiance Federation!
When she saw Lin Yuan, the Moon Empress said, “Little Yuan, your demon insects are a godsend! Without the demon insects, the entire main world would be on the brink of ruin! For the past few days, the reports sent by the various federations have all been positive.
“Currently, the biggest problem facing the Radiance Federation is that the death aura can spread to the land from the sea. The cities next to the seas have not been fully freed from the threat yet. I sent many demon insects to the seaside to absorb death aura, but this isn’t a long-term solution!”
Lin Yuan hurriedly said, “Master, the issue that you are worried about has already been solved. You don’t have to worry about it anymore! Not only will the demon insects be able to eliminate the dead spirits from land, but they will be just as effective in the sea!
“I have already sent two female demon insects into the sea to develop and build colonies that will clean up the environment in the sea. You should be hearing of the effects in a day or two! Once the issue in the sea is solved, the territories near the sea will all benefit. Based on my estimation, the main world will be able to enjoy at least three months of peace. Even if Tower Canon comes up with other moves, they won’t be able to threaten the Radiance Federation anytime soon. The Radiance Federation can develop with a peace of mind!”
The three months that Lin Yuan estimated was not a number he had pulled out from the air.
Instead, he had communicated with Keira and learned that the demon insects were stronger than the dimensional lifeforms from a dimensional world attached to a Class 3 world.
Keira was able to control the demon insects and handle the dead spirits. Otherwise, Keira would not dare to be so confident in this matter that was so important to Lin Yuan.
Frankly, Keira’s estimate had been six months. This was because she had sensed the ley lines and deduced that there would be an explosion of death aura six months later. At that time, there would be a tsunami of dead spirits being awakened.
However, Keira was not concerned by the explosion of dead spirits because if she was able to develop the demon insects with full force during the next six months, it was likely that the demon insects would be able to cover every corner of the main world!
At that time, there might be as many demon insects as there were dead spirits.
However, Lin Yuan would never allow her to develop the demon insects with full force. If she did so, it would leave no space for the other lifeforms in the main world to live.
Lin Yuan dared not be careless when it came to safety issues. He was also worried that what he said would impact the Moon Empress’ arrangements.
Thus, Lin Yuan shortened the six-month estimate to three months. From now on, they could only observe quietly.
During this time, the Radiance Federation’s development would not be halted, nor would that of the demon insects.
This transitional period was critical. Lin Yuan did not know when Tower Canon would receive the news.
With the demon insects consuming the waves of dead spirits and continuously reproducing, they would multiply rapidly.
The main world had just been promoted from a Class 1 to a Class 2 world, and the five dimensional worlds had been fused with the main world.
The humans from the main world only needed a very small proportion of the space to live and grow.
Lin Yuan would not permit the demon insects to take over the space meant for the humans to live in. However, he still intended for the demon insects to use the dead spirits crisis to expand.
All this activity would definitely catch Epoch God Palace’s attention and give Lin Yuan the opportunity to make contact with them.
Even if this matter did not appear on Epoch God Palace’s radar, once the demon insects occupied every corner of the main world, Lin Yuan would definitely be able to locate Epoch God Palace!
When the Moon Empress heard about the three months, she was overjoyed. The three months were a luxury for the Radiance Federation.
“Little Yuan, I will ask Liu Wencheng to proceed with the three rounds of selection. Recently, you have been running around for the main world’s sake. If you have more important things to do, you don’t need to participate!”
Lin Yuan hurriedly shook his head.
“Master, I have already made all the necessary arrangements. Only trivial matters are left. I don’t need to attend to them personally. My people can handle it. I will be there punctually to participate in the selection as a member of the Radiance Hundred Sequence.
“I even nurtured Shiny, especially for the selection. I promised to take it into battle. If I don’t participate, I won’t be able to answer Shiny!”
Lin Yuan knew that the Moon Empress was looking out for him and was afraid that he was working too hard.
Firstly, he really wanted to participate in this selection. Secondly, he was well aware that this selection was meant to boost morale. He could not be absent!
The faith power that came from the Radiance Federation was almost half of the total amount that came from the other federations. This was enough to prove just how important Lin Yuan was to the Radiance Federation.
Lin Yuan did not want to break his word to Shiny, nor did he want to let down the lifeforms in the Radiance Federation who trusted and respected him.
The Moon Empress stood up and helped Lin Yuan to adjust his collar.
“Little Yuan, all of the Radiance Federation’s royalty will be present during the selection. I will be able to watch you climb to the top!”
The Moon Empress would not have said this if she did not know that Lin Yuan’s power had an advantage over Xia Qing, Zong Ze, and the rest. As things stood, his power could no longer be measured against the younger generation!
The Moon Empress had never seen Lin Yuan in battle, but she was certain that she would not have assured victory if she ever fought against him.
If Lin Yuan was not sufficiently powerful, he would not have been able to gather so many experts around him or safeguard the Radiance Federation’s peace.
The Moon Empress’ words to Lin Yuan were not one of wishes and hopes but stated facts.
Based on his contributions to the Radiance Federation and his power, he deserved to become a Radiance Envoy!
The Radiance Federation’s 13 members of royalty had not even contributed to the dead spirits crisis as much as Lin Yuan had.
Lin Yuan nodded. The demon insects could be said to be the dead spirits’ natural enemies. Once the demon insects entered the battle, the dead spirits crisis would be shortened significantly.
The final battle between him and Tower Canon was not as far off as initially expected!
