Chapter 3012 The Source of the Curse! ....
Zhou Yu remembered that he had gone to visit his sister. In Zhou You’s tent, Zhou Yu could not bear to tell his sister about their father’s decision. He could imagine how sad Zhou You would be if she knew that their father had decided to send her to the Tail Bind Tribe as a gift to their leader.
Even if Zhou You knew about this in advance and caused a ruckus, there was no way to change the outcome. This was because Zhou You was someone the Tail Bind Tribe had specifically asked for. If someone else was sent over, the Tail Bind Tribe would most likely not be able to accept it.
After leaving Zhou You’s tent, Zhou Yu ran around the periphery of the Forbidden Feather Tribe’s territory to vent his frustration. In the end, he fainted in a field.
Before losing consciousness, Zhou Yu couldn’t help but pray. Subconsciously, he felt like he was in a dream, but the sensation felt far too vivid to be just a dream. The sensation Zhou Yu experienced in this dream was completely different from his previous dreams.
Just as Zhou Yu was unsure how to react, he heard a woman’s warm and extremely calm voice ask, “Welcome to the Astronomical Parliament. We’ve sensed your wish. Now, I want to ask you if you’re willing to use everything you have to exchange for your sister’s safety in the Forbidden Feather Tribe!?”
Zhou Yu’s wish was extremely simple. As an elder brother, Zhou Yu was willing to give up everything for his younger sister.
Wen Yu routinely questioned Zhou Yu. She knew very well that if Zhou Yu was willing to join the Astronomical Parliament and offer his loyalty, Zhou Yu would receive much more than what was currently being offered. However, the additional promise to Zhou Yu was Lin Yuan’s business.
In fact, Wen Yu was not very satisfied with Zhou Yu’s situation. He was unlike Jing Bai, who was from the Purifying Water Illusion Snakes.
The Purifying Water Illusion Snakes were quite powerful in terms of bloodline talent and had a lot of room for nurturing. However, Zhou Yu’s bloodline was not very strong, and the Forbidden Feather Tribe could not provide much help to Lin Yuan.
If Zhou Yu hesitated and was unwilling to fulfill his promise, Wen Yu would send him away without hesitation.
Wen Yu had underestimated Zhou Yu’s determination to save his sister. Even though Zhou Yu could not tell if this was reality or a dream, he still spoke to Wen Yu immediately.
“If I can ensure that my sister doesn’t have to go to the Tail Bind Tribe and can live safely in the Forbidden Feather Tribe, I’ll do anything you want. I can take responsibility for the promises I made!”
As he spoke, Zhou Yu looked around. The more he looked at his surroundings, the more Zhou Yu felt like he was in a dream. Zhou Yu could not help but feel disappointed. He thought to himself that it would be great if everything was real. If all of this was real, then his sister would be saved!
Lin Yuan, Wen Yu, and Liu Jie could sense Zhou Yu’s thoughts. Wen Yu looked at Lin Yuan and waited for him to make a decision. It was to see if Lin Yuan wanted to save and fulfill Zhou Yu’s wish.
Liu Jie looked up at Wen Yu and could not help but smile when he saw the way she looked at Lin Yuan. Wen Yu had been by Lin Yuan’s side for so long but did not really understand him. If Wen Yu really understood Lin Yuan, she would definitely know that he would accept Zhou Yu.
Just as Liu Jie had expected, Lin Yuan spoke to Zhou Yu. “Since you can take responsibility for your promise, welcome to the Astronomical Parliament. You can place your palm over the back of the chair behind you and imprint your soul on this seat. From now on, you will officially become a member of the Astronomical Parliament.
“Our Astronomical Parliament can guarantee that your sister can live in the Forbidden Feather Tribe without worry. However, no lifeforms can escape the potential natural and man-made disasters. I can only promise that I won’t let your sister be coerced and influenced by the Tail Bind Tribe. As for the other hidden dangers, I’ll leave them to you, as the elder brother.”
Upon hearing that, an excited expression appeared on Zhou Yu’s face. Although Zhou Yu felt like this was a dream, being able to fulfill his wish in the dream, to be a hero and save his sister, he was more than willing!
Zhou Yu raised his hand and covered the seat behind him with his palm. The constellation suddenly lit up above Zhou Yu’s head. The moment the constellation lit up, a lot of information related to Sky City appeared in Zhou Yu’s mind. The appearance of this information made Zhou Yu once again doubt whether he was in a dream or reality.
After confirming that Lin Yuan had made Zhou Yu a member of the Astronomical Parliament, Wen Yu continued to screen the new members.
On the other hand, Lin Yuan was thinking about how to help Zhou Yu resolve his predicament. He could not possibly send Winter to the West Universe to help Zhou Yu resolve.
With the awakening of the Sacred Sword Wielding Queen, Lin Yuan killed a large number of star pirates and collected a lot of willpower and power of law.
The strongest expert in the Forbidden Feather Tribe was only at the spirit fire level.
The Tail Bind Tribe was like a local tyrant, controlling the life and death of other tribes. But in fact, the strongest person in the Tail Bind Tribe had only reached the Divine Kingdom level.
The humanoid weapons that Red Thorn currently had were at the pinnacle World Emperor/Divine Kingdom. Lin Yuan could send a World Emperor/Divine Kingdom humanoid weapon to help Zhou Yu under his control. It would be enough to fulfill Zhou Yu’s wish. It could also allow the Forbidden Feather Tribe to obtain new development in the area they were in.
Lin Yuan did not have any foundation yet in the West Universe. Hence, Zhou Yu would serve as an extension of Lin Yuan’s influence there. Although Zhou Yu was not strong, it would be convenient for Lin Yuan to gradually understand the West Universe through him.
Indeed, replacing Zhou Yu and recruiting a new member of the West Universe might better fulfill Lin Yuan’s needs. However, in Lin Yuan’s opinion, Zhou Yu’s selfless dedication to his sister was extremely rare. Lin Yuan was willing to fulfill the wish of a fellow like him!
While Wen Yu was selecting newcomers to enter the Astronomical Parliament, Liu Jie’s gaze was fixed on Zhou Yu. Zhou Yu’s life was about to change after joining the Astronomical Parliament. However, how far Zhou Yu could go in the future would depend on how hard he worked. If Zhou Yu did not improve after realizing his wish, he would soon be eliminated by the Astronomical Parliament.
The Astronomical Parliament was intolerant of idleness. Liu Jie, in particular, had always criticized Lin Yuan’s nurturing of Peace, noting her tendency to prioritize her own interests. In the future, Liu Jie vowed not to permit individuals like Peace to remain within the Astronomical Parliament.
Wen Yu had conducted several screenings, but the candidates she assessed lacked seriousness. Even individuals like Zhou Yu failed to meet Lin Yuan’s standards.
With time ticking away, each screening session led by Wen Yu drained her energy and heightened her anxiety. If this trend persisted, the Astronomical Parliament would likely struggle to recruit new members.
Then, Wen Yu stumbled upon a unique candidate willing to sacrifice everything to rid themselves of a curse. However, fulfilling the candidate’s demands proved daunting. Furthermore, the candidate hailed from the unexplored South Universe, representing a faction of extraordinary status there.
This candidate evoked memories of Yin Lin, the Astronomical Parliament’s first member.
If Lin Yuan could assist in lifting the curse, this candidate would likely prove invaluable to her cause.
Wen Yu quickly pulled this unique target into the Astronomical Parliament.
Ru Yi was certain that she was lying on the bed in front of the place where the starlight gathered. Her maidservants had just helped her make her bed.
Ru Yi, who had always been cursed, was extremely good at viewing problems with a clear mind.
At this moment, Ru Yi was extremely calm. The experience in front of her was very different from the dream. It was impossible for the scenery in the dream to be as vivid as it was now.
Ru Yi did not speak immediately. Instead, she seriously investigated the surroundings and the people in this environment. The three people sitting on the golden seats shrouded in starlight were clearly the leaders there.
While Ru Yi was observing Lin Yuan and the others, Lin Yuan, Liu Jie, and Wen Yu were also trying to understand Ru Yi’s situation based on her memories.
It was the first time Lin Yuan had heard of the Carp Mystic Palace.
Due to the curse afflicting her body, Ru Yi had been exceptionally well protected by her parents since birth. She had basically never left the Carp Mystic Palace. Even if she left, she would have her parents protecting her by her side.
However, the Carp Mystic Palace was definitely not simple. After all, it had once found a Grade 5 Creator to heal Ru Yi’s curse. Even if this Grade 5 Creator had just entered Grade 5, it was still incredibly remarkable.
As far as Lin Yuan knew, even a Bloodian Queen like Qin Yu could not invite a Grade 5 Creator into her territory in the East Universe. If she wanted to meet a Grade 5 Creator, she would usually have to make an appointment in advance. After getting the answer from a Grade 5 Creator, they could then meet in the territory of the Grade 5 Creator.
Yet, Ru Yi’s parents could invite a Grade 5 Creator into the Carp Mystic Palace.
Wen Yu sent a voice transmission to Lin Yuan, “Young Master, this situation is quite special. I wonder if you could help her lift her curse. If we can remove the curse and bring her into Sky City, it will be of great help to the faction’s development in the South Universe.
“If there is no way to lift the curse, I can directly send her back. If we send her back, she’ll just treat it as a dream. Even if she tells others about the Astronomical Parliament, no one will believe her. She doesn’t know anything about anyone in Sky City.”
Lin Yuan was also a little hesitant. He knew very well how beneficial it would be for Sky City’s development to bring in Ru Yi. However, Lin Yuan was not sure if he could help Ru Yi remove the curse with his current methods.
If Lin Yuan were to agree to allow Ru Yi to join the Sky City now but ultimately could not help her, it could lead to disappointment and distrust.
Lin Yuan asked Ruyi, “Are you still willing to use everything you have in exchange for a chance to remove your curse?”
Ru Yi hesitated for a moment before nodding. “If I can really remove the curse, I’m indeed willing to use everything to exchange for it. However, there’s a prerequisite for my exchange. That is, this exchange can’t affect my parents or harm the interests of the Carp Mystic Palace!”
After saying that, Ru Yi paused for a moment before continuing. “Even if it harms the interests of the Carp Mystic Palace, I hope there will be a chance to compensate the Carp Mystic Palace in the future. As the little princess of the Carp Mystic Palace, I haven’t done anything for the Carp Mystic Palace.”
Although Ru Yi had always been well protected by her family, she was not heartless and na?ve. Ru Yi’s words served to establish her boundaries with Wen Yu, Liu Jie, and Lin Yuan while also revealing her identity to showcase her value.
The Carp Mystic Palace had spent so much effort but was still unable to help her break the curse. Now that she had encountered a new opportunity, she hoped to seize it.
Naturally, the prerequisite for her to hand over everything and join this faction was that the other party could help her break the curse. If the other party could not do this, there was no need for Ru Yi to drag her cursed body into a faction and be controlled by this faction.
The fact that this faction could remove her curse meant that they had access to more resources than Carp Mystic Palace. If that was the case, joining this faction could also be seen as finding a close ally for the Carp Mystic Palace.
Lin Yuan smiled and said, “Of course. If you join this faction and this faction harms you, how can the faction you joined make you submit?
“Before you leave this time, I’ll prepare some things for you, as well as a ramet of the Fantasy Crystal Birth Stone Flower. If any of these things have any effect on your curse, tell me through the ramet. If these things are of no use to you, I hope you can find out the source of this curse so that I can better help you. I realized that you don’t know the source of this curse.”
After saying that, Lin Yuan waved his hand lightly, and Wen Yu immediately adjourned the Astronomical Parliament.
Wen Yu had expended too much spiritual energy during the screening process, so the Astronomical Parliament could no longer continue. If it continued, Wen Yu’s spiritual energy would be depleted.
At present, there was nothing more to do in the Astronomical Parliament. Before he was sure he could help Ru Yi remove the curse, Lin Yuan could not let her sign a contract with the chair behind her.
This time, even though Wen Yu was constantly selecting members and recruiting two new members to join the Astronomical Parliament, the meeting still lasted for nearly 20 minutes. If he didn’t recruit new members, each Astronomical Parliament would be able to last for half an hour. This was enough time for the Astronomical Parliament to circulate normally.
Now, both Zhou Yu and Ru Yi, who have obtained the items, should be aware that what they just experienced was not a dream but a reality.
