Chapter 2903 A Dispute that Could Break Out At Any Moment! A faction with the bloodline of a queen was undoubtedly nobler than a faction with the bloodline of a king.
The Andra clan had maintained such an attitude toward Lin Yuan in the beginning because his appearance was too sudden.
Feng Xuan had brought Lin Yuan to the Andra clan. If the Andra clan had not suspected Lin Yuan at the start and had believed in his identity instead, a stupid existence like theirs would not be able to last for tens of thousands of years. However, with the Andra clan as a guarantor, the other clans with the king’s bloodline did not question Lin Yuan’s identity.
One of the female clan leaders coveted Lin Yuan’s pure Bloodian bloodline and repeatedly expressed her goodwill to him.
Spring, Winter, Jin Chen, and Kani were extremely humble as they followed Lin Yuan. Their attitudes were exactly the same as how the other blood servants treated their masters.
The female Bloodian leader, who had been expressing her goodwill to Lin Yuan, gracefully invited him, “Your Excellency Black Elise, are you willing to visit our Allen clan? Our Allen clan hopes to obtain the friendship of the Elise clan. I will prepare the best feast for you!”
Before Lin Yuan could react, Yi Xue said unhappily, “What’s the meaning of this? Black Elise is a guest of our Andra clan. Are you trying to snatch him from us?!”
The female Bloodian leader, Shi Mei, looked doubtfully at Yi Xue and asked, “I extended an invitation to His Excellency Black Elise. Are you suggesting that you can assume authority over Black Elise and limit his movements? His Excellency Black Elise is a free individual with the capacity to make his own decisions! Yi Xue, I don’t think you disagree with what I said, right?”
Shi Mei was speechless at Yi Xue’s behavior. The Allen and Andra clans had always cooperated closely, while the Andra clan had obviously just established ties with the Elise clan. If the Allen clan could establish a relationship with the Elise clan, it would also deepen the bond between the Andra and Allen clans to a certain extent.
Yi Xue’s protective behavior did not align with the relationship between the two allies. Yi Xue’s actions made Shi Mei understand one thing. Yi Xue must have obtained great benefits from this pureblood Bloodian named Black Elise. Otherwise, there was no reason for him to do that. If that was the case, Shi Mei wanted to get to know Black Elise even more.
Upon hearing Shi Mei’s words, Yi Xue’s breath choked in his chest, but he didn’t make a sound for a long time.
Yi Xue indeed wanted to use Lin Yuan to bind the Elise clan. Previously, the Elise clan was not a Bloodian faction in the Scarlet Territory. Upon returning to the Scarlet Territory, they had to find a few allies. However, Shi Mei’s words made it seem like he had ulterior motives. Yi Xue was afraid that Lin Yuan would misunderstand him.
Now that several clan leaders were traveling with him, Yi Xue found himself unable to explain Shi Mei’s words to Lin Yuan. Once he did that, the Andra clan would lose all face. Shi Mei was really despicable and loved to stir up trouble. From the way Shi Mei looked at Lin Yuan, Yi Xue knew Shi Mei’s motive.
“I naturally agree with what you said. It’s His Excellency Black Elise’s freedom to go wherever he wants. Why would I interfere? However, our Andra clan has been treating His Excellency Black Elise with all our heart. I think His Excellency Black Elise can feel it too! Our Andra clan has already regarded His Excellency Black Elise as our closest ally!”
Since he could not refute Shi Mei’s words, Yi Xue could only use this method to express his feelings to Lin Yuan. Yi Xue’s words caused surprise among several leaders, including Shi Mei, who possessed the bloodline of a prince.
At present, Yi Xue completely adopted an attitude of having found a powerful support. It could be said that he had almost no bottom line for this support that he had painstakingly earned.
Initially, the others merely felt that Yi Xue had obtained some benefits from Lin Yuan. Now, it appeared it was not as simple as just obtaining some benefits.
Apart from Shi Mei, the other Bloodian leaders also wanted to use this opportunity to befriend Lin Yuan.
Lin Yuan appeared very calm. He was neither servile nor overbearing when the other leaders tried to rope him in. He put on the posture of an elegant pure-blooded Bloodian.
Knowing Lin Yuan’s plan, Kani and Jin Chen thought to themselves that Yi Xue really dared to say anything! Yi Xue had regarded Lin Yuan as his closest ally with the statement that he made. It remained unknown how much trouble it would bring to the Andra clan in the future.
... While Lin Yuan and the others were on their way, Andre sent Feng Xuan back to the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves.
Andre asked Feng Xuan a few times but couldn’t find out how he was qualified to be chosen by Lin Yuan. Could such an insignificant figure really catch his attention?!
However, reality proved that Feng Xuan had established a connection with him. Otherwise, the injuries on his body that had damaged his roots would not have completely recovered after seeing Lin Yuan. The cost of healing his injuries was more valuable than Feng Xuan himself.
Feng Xuan had also personally said that he was following Lin Yuan.
Under such circumstances, Andre naturally could not treat Feng Xuan with the same attitude as before. As the saying went, while powerful entities might seem formidable, it was often the lesser figures that posed the real trouble. If Andre were to do something wrong and offend Lin Yuan, the latter might not care at all. However, if he offended Feng Xuan, who knew what Feng Xuan would say about him to Lin Yuan!
Although Andre did not pay much attention to Feng Xuan, he was extremely polite to him. Feng Xuan keenly sensed the change in Andre’s attitude towards him. This made Feng Xuan’s heart, which had been suppressed for a long time, swell uncontrollably.
If Andre, an Andra Elder, treated him in such a manner, then Feng Qing, a leader of the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, likely had to maintain a respectful attitude toward him as well. Otherwise, it would be disrespectful to Lin Yuan. If that was the case, even without Lin Yuan’s intervention, the Andra clan would still seek trouble with Feng Qing.
With such a mindset, Feng Xuan encountered Fan Lou, who was also en route to meet Feng Qing, before reaching Feng Qing’s residence in the Andra clan.
Fan Lou greeted Andre respectfully as usual, then greeted Feng Xuan.
As Feng Qing’s most trusted subordinate, Fan Lou often came to report to Feng Qing every day. Even if Feng Qing didn’t have anything planned for him, Fan Lou would still come to pay his respects to him every day. Even if Feng Qing did not specifically look for Fan Lou, there was nothing wrong with Fan Lou coming to Feng Qing’s place.
No one would suspect that Fan Lou’s coincidental encounter with Feng Xuan and Andre was actually planned by Fan Lou!
Fan Lou knew very well what kind of personality Feng Xuan had. In Feng Xuan’s heart, it was entirely because of Fan Lou that he had ended up like that. If he hadn’t been given an important position by Feng Qing, Feng Xuan wouldn’t have been treated so coldly by Feng Qing. Feng Xuan had never fully accepted him and had always harbored resentment toward him.
If Feng Xuan hadn’t realized that he couldn’t compete with Fan Lou, he wouldn’t have taken the initiative to express his goodwill.
After expressing his goodwill, Feng Xuan continued to make things difficult for him behind the scenes. In fact, Feng Xuan made contact with the Dark Pufferfish envoy, hoping to form a good cooperative relationship with the Dark Pufferfish like him.
He had also deliberately expressed to the Dark Pufferfish many times that Fan Lou was not a direct descendant of the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, but rather an impure wolf who had absorbed their blood essence before transforming into one.
In the Sky Beyond the Clouds, the majority of species valued bloodlines highly. Feng Xuan’s statement was likely intended to belittle Fan Lou. He also aimed to make use of the situation to make Fan Lou relinquish his role as the spokesperson between the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves and the Dark Pufferfish.
Unfortunately, his relationship with the Dark Pufferfish was not what Feng Xuan had imagined. Despite his efforts, he couldn’t disrupt the amicable relationship between Fan Lou and the Dark Pufferfish.
Now that Feng Xuan had suddenly gained power, Fan Lou understood Feng Xuan well enough to anticipate that Feng Xuan would likely find trouble for him.
At this stage, the more he severed ties with the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, the less he would be implicated by them after this. Fan Lou was a little regretful. If he had been able to suppress Feng Xuan previously, the latter would have definitely looked for trouble with him thoroughly once and for all.
Feng Xuan frowned when he saw Fan Lou and went up to him. “Fan Lou, are you here to see Lord Feng Qing? I have something important to discuss with Lord Feng Qing. You should leave first! Come over after I finish talking to Lord Feng Qing.”
At present, it was not suitable for Fan Lou to put on any deliberate acting. Fan Lou only needed to treat Feng Xuan as usual.
However, Feng Xuan was actively finding trouble with him. Even if he didn’t respond, Feng Xuan would still make a move. If Fan Lou deliberately put on a show, it was very likely that Andre would notice something amiss. Once Andre saw through it, all of Fan Lou’s efforts would be in vain!
“Feng Xuan, I should pay my respects to Lord Feng Qing at this time. With your current status, if you want to see Lord Feng Qing, you need to inform him! You only have the chance to see Lord Feng Qing if he wants to see you. I’ll help you inform him!”
Fan Lou’s attitude was very natural, to the point that even the most critical person couldn’t find any faults in his demeanor.
At the very least, Andre admired Fan Lou’s style of handling things. Despite Feng Xuan’s previous actions that had implicated him and caused him to be punished by Feng Qing, Fan Lou didn’t hold it against Feng Xuan or adopt a hostile attitude.
On the contrary, Feng Xuan felt that Fan Lou was mocking him. Fan Lou’s words instantly ignited Feng Xuan’s anger. “Heh, I’m now Lord Black Elise’s subordinate. Do you know who you’re talking to? Do I need you to inform Lord Feng Qing that I’m going to see him?!”
Upon hearing Feng Xuan’s words, Andre’s hatred for Feng Xuan increased greatly. In Andre’s heart, Feng Xuan was merely an idiot who had gained power because of good luck.
First of all, Feng Xuan had addressed Black Elise and Feng Qing as Lords. This meant that Feng Xuan had placed Feng Qing and Black Elise on the same level. However, Feng Qing’s status could not compare to that of Black Elise.
Furthemore, as a leader of the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves, how could Feng Qing accept his subordinates placing others in the same position as him? It was true that there was a difference in status, but a smart individual should at least understand how to address others appropriately.
It was a normal procedure for Fan Lou to communicate with Feng Qing. Once Feng Qing learnt that Feng Xuan had formed a relationship with the Elise clan, he would naturally get close to Feng Xuan.
Feng Xuan’s intention to bypass this step was no different from challenging Feng Qing’s authority. Feng Xuan wouldn’t truly believe that he had become a significant figure in Feng Qing’s eyes just because he had gained the favor of the Elise clan, would he?
The leader of a clan held absolute authority and would never tolerate other members within the clan to exert control over them.
Fan Lou said firmly, “It’s still necessary for me to inform Lord Feng Qing. If you want to see Lord Feng Qing, wait outside for a while. It won’t take long for me to inform Lord Feng Qing, then you’ll be able to see him!
Lord Feng Qing has yet to personally meet with the Black Elise that you mentioned. Furthermore, as far as I know, Lord Feng Qing’s focus has always been on matters concerning the Andra clan. The other Bloodian clans don’t have much to do with our Chaos Wind Demon Wolves. I hope you can understand this!”
Fan Lou’s words left Andre with a positive impression of him. Previously, Andre did not regard Fan Lou seriously. Andre took a fancy to Fan Lou not because Fan Lou could serve as a bridge for communication between the Andra clan and the Dark Pufferfish. If the Andra clan wanted to cooperate with the Dark Pufferfish, Fan Lou wouldn’t necessarily have to be there. At present, Fan Lou could only save some trouble for the Andra clan.
Andre valued Fan Lou because Fan Lou could assert his own position and was loyal to his own species. Such a person was worthy of being placed in an important position in a huge faction.
When Feng Xuan heard Fan Lou’s words, he immediately became animated. Fan Lou said that the other Bloodian clans had nothing to do with the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves. In Feng Xuan’s ears, it was equivalent to Fan Lou denying his credit. This was something that Feng Xuan could not tolerate no matter what.
Feng Xuan even suspected that he had ended up in such a miserable state because of Fan Lou. All his misfortunes seemed to be linked to Fan Lou’s appearance. With this in mind, Feng Xuan immediately resorted to violence against Fan Lou, staging a full-blown confrontation in front of Andre.
Feng Xuan’s actions had greatly exceeded Andre’s expectations. Feng Xuan was slightly stronger than Fan Lou. Within the same species, lifeforms with stronger bloodline intensity exerted significant dominance over those with weaker bloodline in battles. Feng Xuan suppressed Fan Lou and attacked him frequently, causing Fan Lou to be injured continuously.
Andre couldn’t be bothered to interfere in the internal strife of the Chaos Wind Demon Wolves. However, he also did not wish for the ongoing strife between the two sides to continue, as any unexpected occurrences would bring no benefits to the Andra clan.
Fan Lou was no longer just related to the Dark Pufferfish of the Lonely River. He also had a close relationship with the other Three Species Overlords of the Lonely River.
The Andra clan was currently cooperating with the Lonely River’s Four Species Overlords. As for Feng Xuan, Andre still hadn’t figured out the nature of the relationship between Feng Xuan and Black Elise.
