2760 Visit from the Sky Beyond the Clouds! The fortune eyes would bring fortune to the Moon Empress, Chu Ci, Wen Yu, Liu Jie, and the rest. It would allow them to encounter even more opportunities while they were increasing their powers.
The increase in fortune would bring immeasurable benefits to a lifeform!
If there was something like the fortune eye in Lin Yuan’s previous life, even a person who was down in the dumps would be able to win the lottery after obtaining the fortune eye and increasing the amount of fortune in their body!
After Merciful Soul evolved to World Emperor/Divine Kingdom, Spring would bring it back to the Radiance Federation.
Then, Spring and Summer could protect the Radiance Federation together.
Just as Lin Yuan was preparing to enter the Spirit Lock spatial zone to see how the Wind Speed Rapid Antelope was doing with its organization of the resources, he received a message from Peace on the Thoughts Letter Paper.
Peace was an official member of the Astronomical Parliament, and Lin Yuan had invested significant resources into her to enable her to grow.
Each delivery of resources to the Broiling Rock Continent required a large amount of law power.
Luckily, Lin Yuan’s Sacred Sword Wielding Queen had absorbed numerous Law Runes and could make use of the broken Law Runes.
Peace had a merciful heart that wanted to save the Broiling Rock Continent.
However, this also limited her sights to the Broiling Rock Continent. Even now, she was still worried about Green Continent City’s development.
A person’s potential and demeanor determined their future development. The impact of a person’s abilities on their future also rested on their potential and demeanor.
With Peace’s experience and mindset, Lin Yuan believed she was only suitable to being the City Lordess of Green Continent City.
After confirming this, Lin Yuan became somewhat disappointed in Peace.
He had brought this up with Peace in the past. Although he had never explicitly said he would be taking her with him to the Sky Beyond the Clouds, he had told her he would be giving her opportunities.
Alas, she had not properly made use of these opportunities. Lin Yuan did not like to force or coerce others, much less try to manually alter their perception and demeanor.
Hence, Lin Yuan had not paid much attention to Peace lately. If Peace had any issues, she would go to Wen Yu for help.
Lin Yuan was rather surprised to see the sudden messages from Peace.
[Peace]: Leo, Green Continent City has officially changed its name to the Green Continent Federation. We have a population of more than 20,000,000 and are still growing! However, many marshes form in the Green Continent Federation’s current location during the monsoon season.
[Peace]: The various plants and animals that die in the marshes will create a poisonous air that limits the Green Continent Federation’s development. Are you able to arrange for a suitable location for the Green Continent Federation’s development where we will be able to lay down our roots permanently?
Peace should not be coming to Lin Yuan over such a matter. However, Wen Yu had not given her a definite response after sending her request to her.
There were very few natives of the Broiling Rock Continent. Green Continent City had just changed its name to the Green Continent Federation. If a suitable location for development was not found, it would be difficult to expand the Green Continent Federation’s population!
Peace was also unwilling to accept the homeless from other federations.
This was not because she was picky about the Green Continent citizens but because most of the homeless that had been ejected from other federations were bad eggs!
After all, during the crucial stage of a federation’s development, its population was a critical resource. From a certain angle, a population would increase the transfer of resources and represent the labor force.
Peace was afraid that taking these people in would lead to a coup in the Green Continent Federation.
Normally, Wen Yu treated Peace very well. As such, she assumed that Wen Yu’s lack of reply was due to her being too busy. She had no idea her request had wholly disappointed Wen Yu and even caused Wen Yu to look down on her.
Wen Yu felt that Peace, Bu Po, Luo Lan, and Su Yiren had a similar set of circumstances. All of them wanted to use their own capabilities to bring prosperity to their federations.
All of them had been blessed by Lin Yuan. Wen Yu and Liu Jie had been helping the four of them and treated them equally.
But, during the development of their federations, Bu Po, Luo Lan, and Su Yiren never sought help from Wen Yu.
No one was forcing the four of them to become the leaders of their federations.
Since she was incapable, why did she want to manage a federation?
Moreover, Peace was in a rush to change Green Continent City’s name to Green Continent Federation but had yet to meet the requirements of being called a federation. Green Continent City’s population had not even reached the size of an inferior federation like the Iron Hammer Federation. There were even more people in two Diamond tribes!
At the beginning of the migration, Peace had asked Wen Yu which region would be the most suitable for development.
Wen Yu had seriously responded that the best option would be a place that had four clear seasons, a complex environment, and wide plains. As long as there were four clear seasons, they would be able to nurture special feys.
With these special resources and feys, the Green Continent Federation would not be able to trade with other federations. A region with large plains would be suitable for growing production-type plants. As long as the area experienced a relatively normal level of rainfall, such an area would be able to bring in regular bountiful harvests.
Wen Yu had given Peace the best answer. However, Peace had not heeded Wen Yu’s advice. This was likely because the Broiling Rock Continent was traumatized by their experience with water scarcity. As such, Peace eventually selected a location with many bodies of water.
Each time rain filled up the bodies of water, they would have no issues obtaining drinking water. However, finding food would become even more of a struggle than when they were on the Broiling Rock Continent!
Wen Yu had already pointed out a path of development for Peace, but the latter had not listened to her. Wen Yu did not want to help her anymore.
In the Astronomical Parliament, Ta Lei lacked talent and could only be the City Lord of Thick Soil City at best. Hence, he dared not hope for too much for himself.
The only other member of the Astronomical Parliament who was single-mindedly focused on the development of their federation was Luo Lan.
Su Yiren and Bu Po had talked with Wen Yu and set their sights on the Sky Beyond the Clouds.
Wen Yu felt that Peace had wasted Lin Yuan’s nurturing.
It would be fine if Peace could do a good job of being the City Lordess of Green Continent City and properly manage its development. However, she was unable to accomplish this and insisted on changing Green Continent City’s name to Green Continent Federation.
Wen Yu liked people with ambition—only such people were capable of achievements.
But if capabilities could not match up to ambition, doubling down on one’s ambition would be a stupid choice!
At the end of the day, Peace lacked a sufficient mindset and character.
Wen Yu had guessed that Peace would go to Lin Yuan if she did not receive a response from her. This was not a bad thing as this would give Lin Yuan the chance to understand Peace’s situation.
Wen Yu believed that with her understanding of Lin Yuan, he would definitely help her with her request, especially if it was a matter he could handle easily.
But once he helped her, she would never be able to advance past being the ruler of the Green Continent Federation. Whether the Green Continent Federation subsequently survived or was destroyed would also no longer have anything to do with Lin Yuan.
The truth played out as per Wen Yu’s expectations. Lin Yuan frowned after seeing Peace’s messages.
In Lin Yuan’s previous life, 20,000,000 people was not a small number at all. But in this fey world, even the Xia Region, where Lin Yuan used to live, had a population of more than 8,000,000! The Xia Region was a very small region in Redbud City.
It was likely that the Green Continent Federation’s name was being spread by Peace herself. The official federations would never acknowledge the Green Continent Federation’s presence!
However, Lin Yuan’s brows soon relaxed. Everyone chose their own paths. Peace had already chosen her path, so she needed to bear the associated consequences!
Peace was a member of the Astronomical Parliament. Since she had already made her request, Lin Yuan would definitely help her!
[Lin Yuan]: If you want to relocate with the Green Continent Federation, it will be best to head far away from the various dimensional rifts. Look for a place with four clear seasons that is also near to a powerful federation.
Lin Yuan could only tell her about the right spot to pick. He did not have the time to understand the main world’s current map and territories.
After the dead spirits crisis ended, many federations migrated. Previously, many federations made their choice under duress from the dead spirits crisis.
Even the Azure and Freedom Federations had intentions of migrating back to their original locations.
It could be said a place would change regardless of whether there was a leader facilitating the change.
The Major Federation Union had just managed to establish and sustain the peace.
Lin Yuan could not give the Green Continent Federation special rights when it came to choosing a location as it would interfere with the Moon Empress’ plans.
The Green Continent Federation’s subsequent development would depend on Peace’s individual capabilities.
Having made the decision to embark on the journey to the Sky Beyond the Clouds, Lin Yuan shifted his attention toward those who would be joining him, emphasizing their significance over those who opted to stay in the main world.
Peace’s matter was only a small interlude. After replying to Peace, Lin Yuan immediately went to the Spirit Lock spatial zone to select a few resources.
He would be supplying even more resources to nurture his companions who would accompany him to the Sky Beyond the Clouds, as well as the main world’s experts!
... Lin Yuan did not know that his answer had confused Peace. Most of the residents in Green Continent City could not even fill their stomachs now.
In regions bordering lakes, the monsoon season rendered the ground damp and soft. While ordinary plants might endure such conditions, their roots would inevitably succumb to rot.
Regret lingered within Peace. Had she only needed Wen Yu’s advice, her current predicament would have been averted.
To the southeast of the Green Continent Federation’s current location, a spot precisely matching Wen Yu’s description existed. This was where the Dense Forest Federation had chosen to establish its roots.
The Dense Forest Federation garnered bountiful harvests every few seasons, sustaining its development and amassing surplus resources for trade with other federations.
Lin Yuan’s response closely mirrored Wen Yu’s. However, Peace couldn’t fathom why Lin Yuan deliberately emphasized the importance of the Green Continent Federation aligning itself with a formidable federation.
The strength of a federation directly correlated with the influence it could wield. A dominant federation naturally asserted control over its neighboring federations.
While the Major Federation Union prevented outright absorption of weaker federations, it didn’t preclude the powerful federation from exerting covert influence over them.
This would be a cause of considerable stress for Peace while she developed the Green Continent Federation.
Peace believed that it would be better to be positioned near a weaker federation than a powerful one! The weaker federations would gather together to increase their overall strength but would not be able to take down each other. They would be able to develop simultaneously for the long term!
Peace’s idea deviated from that of Lin Yuan. This was just like when her idea deviated from that of Wen Yu.
Peace hesitated before she eventually decided to do as Lin Yuan said and relocate the Green Continent Federation to the vicinity of a powerful federation.
Peace did not know if she was making the right choice. ... With the current situation in the main world, powerful federations would only grow stronger.
It was inevitable that fights would break out among the smaller federations while they were developing.
The Moon Empress had already decided to separate the main world into 17 sections.
The federations in these 17 sections were allowed to compete like they used to.
The Major Federation Union only served to prevent the powerful federations from devouring the smaller ones and not maintain peace in the main world.
The Moon Empress did not announce her decision, so many federations were unaware of this.
With powerful federations holding down the fort in each section, the smaller federations could establish collaborations with them and receive their protection, thereby continuing their development.
If there were many small federations clustered together in a section, they would eventually fight with each other until only the two or three strongest ones emerged victorious.
... Wen Yu only found out a few days later that Peace had sought out Lin Yuan and that he had pointed her in the right direction.
It was likely that Lin Yuan would completely give up on Peace going forward.
They were all members of the Astronomical Parliament. As long as Peace was not requesting an unreasonable amount of resources from Lin Yuan, he would likely grant her request!
But once Lin Yuan went to the Sky Beyond the Clouds, Peace would lose this source of support.
The Green Continent Federation that Peace presided over would soon be destroyed.
After all, the Green Continent Federation’s population was far too small and could not be seen as a complete federation. This was especially so because Peace did not possess overwhelming power.
Just as Wen Yu was about to report the information about the various dimensional worlds she had obtained from the Samsara Realm Dictators, Spring and Summer’s eyes narrowed, and they immediately appeared next to Lin Yuan.
Spring and Summer bowed to Lin Yuan before Summer said, “Lord Saint, I sense that this Class 2 world’s wills are being suppressed. The people from the Sky Beyond the Clouds are almost here!
“Don’t worry. Summer and I will protect the Radiance Federation while Autumn and Winter capture them! Given Autumn and Winter’s strength, no harm will be done to this world!”
