2643 Welcome, Lord Thearch!
“Falling Rainbow, what has happened has happened. We already settled that matter. Warbler Candle has also paid the price for that incident. Why are you still dragging it up? Moreover, we were the ones who she let down back then, not you.”
She waved her hand and swept away the hair that had fallen across her forehead before she walked out of the black coffin and asked First Page Crimson, “Crimson, How much longer will it be before Concubine Winding and Eye Shadow wake up? If they need more than two months, we can begin the plan now! After all, the dead world has already infected this world’s ley lines with enough death aura.”
First Page Crimson frowned under his black and red cloak and was silent for a moment before he said, “Seventh Page Concubine Winding will need 17 more days, while Eighth Page Eye Shadow will need 35 more days. I suggest you wait until they are awake before you combine the dead world with the main world. Otherwise, they will lose out on a lot of benefits.”
First Page Crimson had just finished speaking when Sixth Page Wave Glow, who had long hair resembling ice crystals and a more beautiful countenance than most women, said resolutely, “I don’t think we should begin the plan now. It doesn’t matter if the humans and sea clans know about our plans and set up defenses against it. It won’t affect the plan’s progression.
“I care more about what Crimson said about the humans taking control of the marsh and water worlds. If they can control the marsh world and water world, they will be able to control the alien insect, subterranean, and abyssal worlds, too!
“I am worried that humans will find a way to combine the five dimensional worlds with this world to promote this Class 1 to Class 2. If that happens, it will throw a wrench into our plans!”
Sixth Page Wave Glow’s words had hit the nail on the head.
First Page Crimson shook his head and said, “I can’t answer your question because I have also been sealed and recuperating in the black coffin. I haven’t been able to look in detail into human factions. But I can be certain that something anomalous has happened to the human world.
“Otherwise, given my understanding of the human world before I went to sleep, they shouldn’t have such capabilities! I suspect that this is related to Epoch God Palace. Only they possess such capabilities!
“As for Tarot Round Table, who have implanted spies into Tower Canon, they are nothing more than a group of noisy insects trying to cause trouble. They don’t have such capabilities either!”
Second Page Warbler Candle only looked away from Fifth Page Falling Rainbow now.
Second Page Warbler Candle looked at First Page Crimson seriously and said, “I began secretly watching Epoch God Palace a week ago. This matter is not related to them at all! They haven’t changed and still seem to be waiting for something. They wouldn’t have needed to wait until now if they wanted to try something. They could have acted when we first started injecting death aura into the ley lines.
“First Page Crimson, did Epoch God Palace frighten you off a thousand years ago?”
First Page Crimson ignored Second Page Warbler Candle. Before the others awoke, First Page Crimson interacted with Second Page Warbler Candle because he had no choice.
But now that the others had awoken, there was no need for First Page Crimson to continue doing so!
First Page Crimson was not fond of Second Page Warbler Candle at all.
Third Page Violet Light Green did not want to interact with First Page Crimson and the other four. She picked up a comb with several eyeballs embedded into it and began combing her hair. The eyes opened and shut continuously while she was combing her hair with the comb.
Once she was done combing her hair, she began dressing herself up with accessories and was completely nonchalant towards the discussion that needed to take place.
When she saw Sixth Page Wave Glow looking at her, Third Page Violet Light Green said apathetically, “You can make the decision about such trivial matters. You don’t have to seek my opinion! This way, if you insist on starting the plan now, I won’t be left without a way to explain myself to Concubine Winding and Eye Shadow when they wake up.”
Eye Shadow was not the type to be petty. But if Concubine woke up and found out she had been stiffed, the situation would become very difficult to deal with!
Fifth Page Falling Rainbow’s selfish behavior had displeased many of them.
Third Page Violet Light Green and Sixth Page Wave Glow had both expressed their opinions. Second Page Warbler Candle never got involved and always followed Fifth Page Falling Rainbow’s lead.
First Page Crimson looked at Fourth Page Cavity Orchid. “Cavity Orchid, have you made your decision?”
Fourth Page Cavity Orchid blinked. Given the circumstances, regardless of what she said, she would end up offending someone. Fourth Page Cavity Orchid did not want that to happen.
Hence, she smiled at First Page Crimson and said, “Crimson, I’ll follow your lead. Your decision is my decision! I have only just woken up, so unlike you, I don’t know much about what’s happening.”
First Page Crimson looked away from Fourth Page Cavity Orchid. Fourth Page Cavity Orchid never liked to get on the wrong side of anyone, yet she also refused to allow herself to be advantaged in any way.
She had said that despite already knowing what his choice was.
If the eight of them had not tried tripping each other up and caused the sacred instrument that contained death aura to become damaged, they would not have needed to attempt to make a grab for Epoch God Palace’s vessel! They also would not have had to slumber for thousands of years.
If the dead spirits crisis could have been brought forward a few thousand years, this Class 1 world would have already been combined with the dead world and taken over the roots of this Class 1 world.
What a waste! A waste!
“Then let’s wait until Concubine Winding and Eye Shadow wake up. We can return to the black coffins and continue recuperating—”
Before First Page Crimson could finish speaking, he was interrupted by Fifth Page Falling Rainbow’s furrowed brow.
Fifth Page Falling Rainbow did not attempt to go against First Page Crimson’s decision. This decision had been made collectively by all of them. If she tried to go against it, she would be offending the majority.
However, she noticed that she had lost her link to the Secret of the Dead that had been within the Tower of Falling Rainbow.
“What is my Tower of Falling Rainbow now? Why can’t I sense the Secret of the Dead now that I’m awake?”
First Page Crimson frowned. They only established Tower Canon after coming to this world. They saw the eight towers as part of their legacy and passed it down from generation to generation of the Eight Pages.
The subsequent generations of Tower Canon had been unable to use the power of the Secrets of the Dead in the towers.
Based on First Page Crimson’s understanding, the Tower of Falling Rainbow should be in Fifth Page Truth’s hands.
He had not known where Fifth Page Truth was and only found out from Third Page Eternal Sin that he had died.
But if Fifth Page Truth had died, the Secret of the Dead should have transported the Tower of Falling Rainbow back to Tower Canon!
The Secrets of the Dead were linked to the dead world’s roots, and the dead world was a dimensional world linked to a Class 2 world.
“Falling Rainbow, you can send people to find the Tower of Falling Rainbow, but I suggest you return to the black coffin to rest up. Once Concubine Winding and Eye Shadow wake up and we begin the plan, we will have to remain in the dead world and won’t have the opportunity to recuperate any further.”
Once he was done speaking, First Page Crimson entered the black coffin and closed the door.
Second Page Warbler Candle blew out the flame of the candle she held with a gentle breath before saying, “Falling Rainbow, I don’t need to spend any more extended periods of time recuperating. I can help you to search for the Tower of Falling Rainbow!”
Fifth Page Falling Rainbow scoffed softly.
“I will send my own people to conduct the search! The people I send will also be able to help me gain an understanding of the current happenings in this world! Otherwise, we’ll have to ask First Page Crimson everything, and he’s unwilling to share.”
Fifth Page Falling Rainbow walked out into the large hall, and Second Page Warbler Candle hurriedly followed her.
Third Page Violet Light Green and Sixth Page Wave Glow entered their black coffins. The light in the large hall filled the space once again after Second Page Warbler Candle left.
The faint light from the chain of birth horoscopes seeped out into the beautiful and dead silence.
... Lin Yuan stepped on the jets of water. Due to his mermaid thearch bloodline, Lin Yuan instinctively felt more comfortable in the sea than on land.
Lin Yuan had been busy for such a long time, and as he traveled on the sea, he felt the same carefreeness he felt while on vacation.
However, Lin Yuan found it difficult to relax fully. Neither the humans nor sea clans’ migration was complete. Lin Yuan was afraid that he would predict the timeline wrongly.
Ice Flow told Lin Yuan, “We will be able to reach the Vast Sea Labyrinth’s palace in a day. I will lead you into the depths then while you hold this pearl. This comes from the 10,000-year-old giant clam and will allow you to breathe underwater.”
Lin Yuan received the pearl and nodded before tossing it back to Ice Flow. “I can enter the depths of water without external help. You don’t need to make such preparations for me.
“On the way here, I saw many sea clans gathering together under the lead of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors. I am curious to know how the Vast Sea Labyrinth sends out your orders.”
Ice Flow did not try to keep secrets and responded. “When any member of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors is given authority over a piece of the sea, they will also receive a messenger shell. No matter where they are, they can receive orders from the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors’ headquarters through the messenger shell.
“The Vast Sea Labyrinth just needs to send our orders to the leaders of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors. After we selected the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors, they rapidly increased their numbers and strength because of the abundance of resources they possess.
“Now, there aren’t enough sea territories to allocate to every member. This is why there has been so much fighting among the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors in the past 1,000 years!
“First Emperor Dragon Shark Clan has already become the new fountainhead of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors. Many human federations believe the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors to be the leaders of the sea clans. But in truth, they are nothing more than chess pieces that are under our control!”
Lin Yuan now understood why the Vast Sea Labyrinth cared so little about the First Emperor Dragon Shark Clan’s extinction. They never cared about any of the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors.
He could sense from Ice Flow’s words that the Vast Sea Labyrinth was very unhappy with all the fighting that had been going on among the Eight Clans of Sea Emperors.
The human federations were much more independent than the sea clans. They would never be able to act collectively after just one order was issued.
Although this Major Federation Union meeting was successful, many federations had not been in attendance. It was very likely that those who had not gone to the Radiance Federation were still unaware of the dead spirits crisis.
There was nothing that Lin Yuan or the Moon Empress could do about that.
By this time, Lin Yuan and Ice Flow had arrived at the sea near the Azure Federation.
The sea near the Azure Federation had already been cleared, and there were no traces of toxins left. This would not have been possible in such a short span with just the experts from the Azure Federation. The mermaids had helped secretly as well.
Suddenly, Ice Flow furrowed his brow deeply together, and he looked astonished. He noticed that there were almost 100 spirit-fire lifeforms nearby. Moreover, there were thousands of enormous sea beasts behind these 100 spirit-fire lifeforms.
From the auras of the sea beasts, they were likely water world dimensional lifeforms.
Ice Flow was very familiar with the aura of water world dimensional lifeforms.
Ice Flow knew that a Class 6 water world dimensional rift had opened in the sea near the Azure Federation. These dimensional lifeforms must have come out from there!
Ice Flow had heard that Lin Yuan had taken control of the water world and wanted to combine the water world with the main world so that the sea clans could be relocated there.
Ice Flow looked at Lin Yuan. Regardless of how he thought about it, Ice Flow could not shake the feeling that these spirit-fire mermaids and giant sea beasts were there to cause trouble.
As a mermaid thearch, Lin Yuan could sense where lifeforms with the mermaid bloodlines were located.
He smiled and told Ice Flow, “These are the helpers I will be sending to help the sea clans with their migration. They have been waiting for me for a long time. They will be coming with us to the Vast Sea Labyrinth.”
While Lin Yuan was speaking, the mermaids and sea beasts had moved over to his side.
The king-class mermaids had ridden water currents to the surface of the water. But the instant they spotted Lin Yuan, they all folded their tails and knelt on pillars of water. They dared not meet his gaze and said softly, with utmost respect, “Welcome, Lord Thearch!”
