Became the Patron of Villains

I was an ordinary corporate drone until I ended up in the body of a nobleman inside a game. The problem is that I'm only a minor character (an extra) who is destined to die at the hands of future villains. To survive and enjoy the peaceful life of an aristocrat, I decided to reform these rascals while they are still little! I became their sponsor and helped them overcome hardships so that they would not fall into darkness. In the end they grew up into decent and honorable people... at least, that's what I thought. But why did I myself end up in the role of the main shadow leader and the greatest mastermind of the kingdom's villains?
